There seems to be no option to turn off heat/cool. I switched to "off" yet it kept blowing cool air next to the area where one would work on laptop. I asked for another room. Same problem. Decent hotel close to UVU. The suites are nice and like a small apartment. The only complaint I had was the cleaning person let themselves into my room, even after I yelled someone was in the room when they first knocked. Well we were in town for a dying relative, when we stayed here. We usually don't have an issue.. but there was a shooting across the street and they literally kicked us out to book the hotel just for media travelers. they doubled the rate and our reservation magically wasn't there for the night.. then when we were heading back to the room to pack our things up they had emptied the room and threw all of our things in a bin leaving us no privacy at all!! We told them that we were on our way and that they weren't allowed to touch our things!! They did it anyways!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE we will never stay here again we have never been treated so poorly.. obviously they are not about the customers just about making money.. and the Hilton honors customer service team wouldn't do anything about it.. just allowed this to happen.. basically we were on our own.. we are going to start staying with someone else instead of Hilton Hampton Inn from now on.. Can't. Say enough nice things. We had a Beautiful room, the staff from the check in, breakfast, to the housekeeping crew were all very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy and water presser in the shower was great. I love that the back of the hotel sits at the water and park. Next time we pass through we will definitely will be returning. read more

I had to go out of the building at 4 am and when I tried to return to my room the out side main door wouldn't open with my key card. So I pushed the button to call for help, no one responded . I kept pushing the button and nothing. Eventually I pried the door open, at this point I'm in panic mode, after basically forcing my way in I started looking for a night clerk. I went into the various places you would expect to find someone. And there was no one to be found! I HAVE HAD OTHER PROBLEMS WITH HILTON (THIS HOTEL IS A HILTON). The other problems were cheating out of money. This begs the question; why did I stay at another Hilton. read more

First off, I have to congratulate this hotel for have such a great employee in Brittany. She really goes above and beyond to make certain the guests are happy. The first room we were given had an common wall with the Housekeeping Linen storage and was pretty noisy because of this. I called down to the front desk and Brittany quickly arranged for us to move to the quietest suite in the hotel with a very minimal increase in the nightly rate. She was right...it was VERY quiet and it was nice to get some needed sleep after our stay in the Hampton Inn Kanab. They need to perform a few repairs in this room...the poor refrigerator made sounds like a dying robot whenever the compressor kicked in...it was funny and sad at the same time (we felt sorry for the poor old thing)...and the exhaust fan in the bathroom is in desperate need of replacement (the bearings are done for and it clatters when running). Altogether it was a nice place to stay! read more

I stayed here for a couple of nights for work and I must say I was very impressed with how clean this hotel was. Everything was pretty much spotless including the gym that they have on site. I would definitely recommend staying here if you ever need to stay the night in Orem! read more

I have to say that I am disappointed at Hampton Inn and, maybe to a larger extent, TripAdvisor for the misleading reviews. The staff was very nice. The young lady that checked us in at around 9PM was super. The room, not so much. The white stain/ streak on the desk where I had to put my laptop was disgusting. I had to clean it myself and I hope to G that it was spilled milk. Long hairs in the bathtub from the previous occupant...yikes. The carpeting had a tear in it and looks very dated. The furniture needs an update. I would recommend checking for rooms elsewhere in Provo/Orem. read more

Normally I'm the negative Nancy in these reviews but I have to honestly say I was very pleased with my stay at this Hampton Inn. I travel ALOT and I feel like I can give you a strong comparison to other comparable hotels especially the Hilton family. This ranks high amongst most Hamptons and I don't mean that negatively. There's clear evidence that the hotel is undergoing some type of remodeling so the past reviews may in fact have been accurate but at least for my room and experience it was very clean, comfortable, and efficient. Desk folks were super helpful and pleasant to deal with. There's virtually any restaurant you desire with a short shuttle or Uber ride. Didn't use the gym or other facilities but I did walk around and they all looked to be in great shape. The Hampton Breakfast was nicely done, exactly what I expect from the Hamptons. One area the staff forgot in the upgrades was the staircase. I know that's utility space but I try to avoid he elevator when I can and it did have a very musty odor and was in need of some new carpets and paint. Had to go to the staircase to find something to critique.. that's pretty damm good. I would recommend it! read more

This is a great hotel to come to if you're visiting the Orem/Provo area. My wife and I stayed here along with other family members, while attending a wedding. The rooms are nice and clean and the rates aren't too expensive. It's a great location if you need to do something at UVU, and BYU is only a 10-15 minute drive. One of our family members rooms didn't have air conditioner, so they gave us free waters and fans, while they fixed the problem, which was very nice of them. The breakfast here is really good too, they serve a hot breakfast, eggs, waffles, sausage, along with fruit, bagels and muffins. We enjoyed our stay here. read more

Aweful experience with staff and night management. I checked out a week earlier than I intended to.

The staff received top marks for their kindness, helpfulness, and friendliness. From the front desk to custodial crew everyone was kind. Although the hotel itself had a dated and dim atmosphere, that aspect was manageable. However, the most significant issue was the paper-thin walls, allowing for noise from neighboring rooms to be easily heard. The first night was particularly challenging due to a crying baby next door, whose cries seemed to permeate into the room. The subsequent nights were also disrupted by foot traffic from a Utah Tech University bus and a school swim team, resulting in three sleepless nights. This experience was particularly flustering because we were there for a dance competition and struggled with exhaustion from our sleepless nights. It is advisable to avoid this hotel, especially during busy weekends, to prevent similar experiences. They obviously have deep discounts for group rates based on the customers so just be mindful if you hoping for a good night of sleep. read more

Wonderful stop. The hotel sets in a great location next to many shops and restaurants and with easy exit to the highway. It looks nice snd sparkling clean and the bed was very comfortable. The employees were helpful and kind, the rooms are huge, the facilities (breakfast area, pool, gym) are beautiful and vey well maintained. Their breakfast is the usual continental, but with lots of fruits choices which is what I need, and it is served in a very pleasant setting and in an appetizing set up. I'm a Hampton fan for consistent quality family stays. But his location didn't meet the comfort that I've always experienced at other locations across the country. Biggest disappointment was the bed - mattress, pillows, sheets, etc. definitely not at the level of others. And I've always raved about how great Hampton beds were for a hotel chain that still gives a reasonable price. The beds weren't bad, I just had come to expect more. Tip: request a room away from the Interstate. The windows and insulation don't keep out the traffic noise. read more

Quick highlights from my stay last week: -Free but slow internet - .20 Mb/s down and .17 Mb/s (enough of a reason for me to not stay here again. -near the highway, but not much else -reasonable rate with free breakfast that is decent -no real fitness room (one broken treadmill, one new machine and two other pieces they might have bought used on Craigslist... but of course there's a pool no one uses). -Good customer service. Overall an ok property, but I might try the Courtyard, Residence Inn, Springhill or even the regular Marriott in Provo the next time. read more

The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The layout of the room definitely tells me that this was not a Hampton Inn in years back. The bathroom had a goofy layout and the room wasn't overly spacious. The bed was great as usual at a Hampton, and thats what really matters. Overall, the room gets a 3.5 star. The breakfast area had a trendy design and was very appealing to the eye. The food was not stellar, but hey its free. It was not bad either. The coffee was good and just right on temperature. I know it's just a chain hotel, but when your one the road for 8 or 10 hours, desperation for a comfortable, friendly respite starts to take hold. My family and I stopped off at this Hampton Inn about a week ago on our trek from Montana to Los Angeles. The customer service was OUTSTANDING. There were fresh cookies when I walked in the door (this was at 9pm) and the young man behind the counter immediately and sincerely greeted me and began to discuss room options. He also informed me that this particular Hampton Inn is a test hotel for Hilton... (this is where us geeks get excited)... So there were suites open for us to tour and the the morning Breakfast was twice as big as any hotel spread I've ever seen. The even offer room service (from Appplebee's and some other chain, yuck! But, still a nice service.) The best part was that he gave me the rooms and I wanted gave me a Hilton discount AND my AAA discount. The beds were uber comfortable and I slept like a babe. read more

Nice rooms, kind front desk service, lots of parking, easy to find, continental breakfast was 'ok (eggs were a bit cool, and sausage was something I would suggest you avoid). I'm here for work, and the internet in the room (3rd floor) is almost unusable even for work email. However! If you come down to the continental breakfast area, very clearly one of their wifi hotspots is near here (much better). 3 Stars because internet on a work trip is very important. and the wifi infrastructure should support in-room internet for work email (and not just barely). read more

I have been driving for 6 days now, including today. My aunt gave me 5 family travel passports for any hilton owned hotel, these gave us the opportunity to have a rate at $79 before taxes. I made my reservation for this particular Hampton inn (this review only reflects on this particular location, all other locations have been wonderful and accommodating) the 17 year old pimple faced snot at the front desk named Kelsey decided she needed to call her manager who was at home at the time and get this approved. He decided not to approve our completely legitimate travel passport so she then told me she would not honor this rate and the price would be $99. when I came in and asked to speak to the manager, she again called him at home and he spoke to me extremely rudely as if I owed him something to stay in the hotel. At this time Kelsey is still standing behind the desk rolling her eyes and conversing with an extremely overweight woman who was wearing practically no clothing and was goofing off and cursing the whole time. So I left and took my money across the street to LaQuinta Inn where they offered me a room with a king sized bed, continental breakfast and free wifi at $79 dollars a night. They were inviting pleasant and enjoyable. The breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruit, bagels, eggs, waffles, great coffee and fresh orange juice. The facilities were nice, great gym equipment and clean pool and hot tub Moral of the story people is do not give your money to this Hampton inn, go down the street and you will find a wonderful nights stay at $79 a night and much better service. read more

We have been using the Hampton Inn & Suites in Orem to house our employees for offsite long term stays on construction projects in the area. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Our employees love staying here. Craig Power is such a pleasure to work with, he is always making sure that our employees have everything they need during their stay. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable. The rooms have kitchens which goes a long way for our employees who are away from home for long periods of time. My first thoughts when I was told I would be traveling to Orem, UT on business from San Francisco: "Greattttttt....some crappy road hotel, not even next to SLC, ::insert word that rhymes with yuck::" The night we checked in, the front desk chick Emily was awesome. She gave me and my worker awesome suggestions on places to eat around town, gave us a heads up that it's one of the "most religious counties in the state" so there aren't many bars around and everything closes early on sundays. We asked her if it was supposed to snow that week, and she offered to print us out a 5-day forecast. Well...we went to dinner first, and when I got back to my room, she had left the print-out of the weather AND a mug with hot cocoa for "when the weather gets bad"! How cool! So frickin adorable, i wanna put her in my pocket and take her home. lol Service was awesome from EVERY staff. Rooms are really nice and comfortable. Beds felt clean. Wifi was kinda spotty, and the free breakfast was nothing more than a free meal. You can tell they try lol. Honestly, i was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. read more

We stayed here for the BYU homecoming football game a few weeks ago. The staff were great. They upgraded our room to a fantastic suite with a fireplace. This is a great place to stay to catch any football games in town. Nice and close to the freeway, but you don't ever hear any freeway noise. I've stayed at many of the Hilton properties in the last few years including several Hampton Inn hotels. I love the value and the service at the Hampton Inn. This Hampton was no exception. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable beds. What more could a traveling family ask for? We had a great time during our stay. Need extra shampoo, conditioner, soap, pillows, blankets? I come to the Provo/Orem area several times a year to visit family and usually stay here. I have tried 3-4 other hotels, but I prefer Hampton Inns as a rule. The staff is nice, the rooms are modern and comfortable and I really love the location, as it is right next to I-15, so getting to and from the airport is easy and to other locations along the Wasatch Front. They also have updated their wi-if, which was pretty crummy up until this trip. It worked perfectly this trip. Will continue to be my go-to place when in town. I did not give it more than 3 stars, simply because it is not a high-end hotel and as Hampton Inns go, I have stayed in much better. Also, the bathrooms need updating and my bathtub was never cleaned properly the whole week. The towels are thin. read more

I travel 36 weeks a year and only stay in Hilton branded properties. I will ONLY stay at Hampton suites and that's a last option. The room's are OK, the breakfast is usually meh, and there are little amenities, but if price is a factor, I would stay in a Hampton suite without issue. read more

We stayed at the Orem Hampton Inn Saturday night. When we returned home, we discovered I left an Ann Taylor bag with $386 worth of new clothes and also some of dirty clothes. I called 12 hours after we left the hotel and the bag was not turned in. I have called and emailed the front desk and general manager several times. My husband and I know that we left the bag by the bed. The GM has talked to staff and also confirmed the cleaning staff were the only ones to enter after we left. He said we are not on the same page because he has seen people find their items, leave them outside their car etc. Because he said he cant prove my clothes were stolen he would only refund our room. Very disappointing as I traveled 900 miles to shop the outlet malls and my clothes disappeared! read more

We have stayed in other Hampton Inns in other cities & have had satisfactory experiences. This Hampton looks nice but has the WORST mattresses we have ever slept in. It is painful after sleeping here. I have stayed in most of the hotels near by La Quinta, Comfort Inn & Holiday Inn Express & will be staying in any of those in the future but not here. read more

Stayed here for a week in early July with my wife and 4 kids. Booked two rooms, and specifically asked for adjoining rooms. When we arrived, we were informed that adjoining rooms were not available. Front desk was not particularly apologetic, even though I had booked these rooms with this specific request about 2 months prior to arrival. Apparently they basically ignore requests when you book online. They squeezed us into one room for one night until the room next door checked out. Talked to the front desk about getting a refund for my HH points that were taken to book the second room, and I was assured that the manager was refunding me. It's now been 1 month, and the refund has not come back. Rooms were decent, although on the smallish side for Hamptons. Everything else was pretty much standard for the Hampton Inn brand. I would recommend the Hampton Inn in Provo over this one as the rooms were larger, and everything else was equivalent. read more

I rate this hotel five stars because of service. I have stayed in various inns, motels, hotels and so called fancy high end digs all over these here united states. Now this place wasn't the most modern-it was comfortable. Now you might never find yourself here in Orem. It was the last place I ever thought I would visit. But beyond the obvious dry county and silly religious nonsense these people must be doing something right because I have never met such friendly folk. I can see why this place is so busy. They have a nice pool, great breakfast; my fave was sausage and gravy, and a amenable staff who were so helpful. A nice sunny flower laced patio greeted me every morning, a nice hospitality driver free of charge who took me and my friends to local haunts and believe you me you want assistance with this because some places are not as fun as they look. Besides pointing you in the right direction, they did everything right. I could not get over the courtesy but I could get used to it. Its close to several great places to eat and has wonderful wi-fi. I'm sure I'm leaving out a bunch of things but I would stay here again. Oh yeah its utah so byob. read more

Overall nice hotel. My mom and I came in from out of town and stayed here for 3 nights in a really nice suite with a fireplace, kitchen with an oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher etc. We loved our room and the view was great! However I have to say they need to rethink their pillow choice. It was hard sleeping on really lumpy pillows every night and we even called the housekeeping to bring softer pillows without lumps and they never brought them to us. Also the free breakfast in the morning is pretty good despite the powdered eggs and undercooked oatmeal. The waffles are good. But there's also an I hop right next to the hotel you can go to for breakfast instead or a Krispy Kremes 3-4 min away. Other than that the rooms are clean and the hotel is pretty relaxing and quiet.
