Judging on the scale of Hampton Inns, this one is 5 stars. Building and rooms are what you would expect: Simple but solid. Anything people related, though, was 'top of the line' for a Hampton...or any hotel: - Hotel was very clean and in good condition (good maintenance) - Front desk staff was very helpful, friendly, and understanding. Made some minor room adjustments for us with no problem and smiles on their faces. - Breakfast was above average for a Hampton: It had a couple personal touches (like homemade chili sauce) within the 'Hampton basics' that were noticeable and tasty...Hats off to the chef. Can't speak for how it compares to other hotels in Moab or its relative value...just know we were pleased with our stay. (Everything in Moab was on the expensive side when we traveled there.) read more

Hubby planned our "rocks" trip 6 months ahead to see the Utah National Parks in the year of our 100th National Parks anniversary. Our 8 hr drive after landing in Las Vegas and picking up a rental car took longer than expected and I would encourage you to call ahead to let them know if you don't make your check in time. They were booked solid. One guy ahead of us didn't get the Double Queen beds he had asked for. There is a section of 10 miles where there wasn't cell service or any service on the drive in. A freshly baked tray of choc chip cookies greeted us at the front desk around 7 pm upon arrival but they should cover the cookies as I saw a fly on the edge of the cookie tray napkin. I ate the cookie anyways as I was starved. The room was clean and there were Neutrogena bath amenities. The night light on the wall mounted Sunbeam hair dryer was helpful. My bed was comfy and bed dogs were clean even tho I didn't care for the soft pillows. There is no safe in the room to lock up valuables. Breakfast is good, nothing fancy. It's served at 7AM in the dining area. Dry cereal, milk, coffee, tea, fruit (canned pineapple, apples, bananas), omelet, potatoes, biscuit with gravy, toast, English muffins, packaged pastries and you can make your own waffles too. The hotel has a small pool, jacuzzi. It's located rather far from the middle of town where most restaurants are located on Main Street. You have to walk several blocks and these are long blocks. read more

One of the employees were so nice and even gave my kids candy. This is the only Hampton Inn that provides water to every customer. This place is like the Ritz Carlton of Moab, I'm not even joking. The rooms were spacious with big fluffy mattresses and your choice of firm or soft pillows. They had a hot continental breakfast every morning served in their main lobby from 6am -10am and I must admit that the food was pretty good too. One day I had a denver omelet with fruit and a cup of robust coffee. The next day I had waffles, and the final day I had cereal, yogurt and a bagel with cream cheese. The shower was the best part though. All the rooms have very nice shower heads with a good amount of water pressure, which proved to be very relaxing, especially after being on the river for 4 days. They also had a pool in the back, which felt more like a sauna since it got so hot during the day. The customer service was great and if you needed anything at all they would give it to you complimentary. As a few others have mentioned you get what you pay for in Moab, so why not treat yourself to a nice stay here? read more

I loved this hotel and their staff. As a Diamond Member, the staff went out of their way to make sure my friends and I have an enjoyable stay. Most mornings we were up early and out the door before breakfast. The kitchen staff made sure that we had something to eat and drink before we left. I have already been on the road for 45 days this year. When I travel, I stay at the Hampton Inn. This chain has good locations for business, clean rooms, and I know what to expect every time. Shout out to Sam! This guys was quick, efficient, and has a sincere attitude about being friendly and providing customer service. Thanks buddy, I had a great stay. Since I was traveling during the week of Jeep Jamboree, I understand the rate, $210 a night, $170 with AAA. I had to stay in 3 different rooms, because the hotel was fully booked. Thanks to my Diamond VIP Membership, they found me a room every night. So, when people travel to Moab, typically they will stay for a few days or longer. That being said, the lack of a microwave and a mini-fridge in each room was glaringly obvious. With the rates they charge, it would not be hard to afford this. I had to use the microwave in the store room one night, just not cool. read more

The Hampton Inn is an ok chain hotel in Moab. Is there anything that makes it particularly distinguished? Not really. It is a clean, conveniently located place to lay ones head and that is about it. It seems relatively new. As I was walking around Moab this evening, I realized that this hotel may be the equivalent of the Ritz Carlton. I passed other establishments where I would query whether my head would be connected to my neck in the morning. Based on that, the Hampton is an excellent option. I have been kind of surprised by Moab. I thought it would be a quaint artistic place like Taos. The reality is more honky tonk. I am going to the national parks tomorrow, Hopefully, the four hour odyssey from Park City will be worth it. I would recommend the Hampton based on the competition in Moab. It is a veritable palace compared to many of them. read more

Okay, this place gets 3 stars and not 1 as the front desk did, in fact, resolve all my issues, even though some took a few requests. This is a great location and the place is clean. Jacuzzi was great after our long hikes. The issues started on our way there. I had booked 3 different Hilton reservations for 3 different towns on this trip. All had my credit card info. Shame on me for not reading the fine print for this Moab reservation that said I had to be there by 6 p.m. At 7 p.m. I received a call verifying that I was coming as it was after 6 p.m. and they did not have "credit card confirmation." Thank God I called back and said I was on my way as the place was booked. This taught me a lesson to always call and verify places if I am running late. However, this Moab Hampton Inn needs to work with the Hilton.com folks and fix this glitch where they cannot view my cc...this is there problem, and should not be mine. I guess I am used to always having a fridge in my room, and I had no reason to think this would be different, but it was. There was no fridge and after 2 requests, several hours a part we got a fridge delivered. We had bought food to take on our day hikes that needed overnight fridgeration... The shower door fell on my bf and they fixed it. There was an ironing board, but no iron. It took me 3 requests over 2 days to get one. There were only feather down pillows that were way too soft for me. I had to requests "regular" pillows. They did not have any, but supplied one that was a bit firmer. Hence, I had a sore neck for 4 days. Hampton Inn has the absolute WORST shampoo/conditioner from any hotel I have ever stayed. So bad that I had to go to a store and buy some. As I said, they did resolve the issues, but I wish none would have occurred. read more

My family stayed here for multiple nights while in Moab. The rooms were well cleaned and taken care of. The staff was very friendly and courteous. But the guy in charge of the breakfast (Jesse I think) was just absolutely amazing. Not only was he friendly, he was extremely personable. He took great efforts to talk to all customers and make them feel at home. He even would remember everyone the next day. He was a funny, hospitable, and extremely helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the options were different each day. It was even great to get back to the hotel in the late afternoon and they had delicious cookies out for customers. read more

When everything is right, its easy for things to seem at their best, but when things go wrong, you really find out who can problem solve, who really cares and who is truly professional. The General Manager and team at the Hampton Inn Moab handled a situation that occurred with the upmost consideration, respect and courtesy. The efforts to problem solve and make things the best they could be in the fastest manner possible was incredible. The GM and his team define the best in customer service, professionalism and putting the customer first. We have stayed in many Hamptons across the country, some are very nice and some just get the job done. This is a get the job done, bare bones, thin walled Hampton at a premium price. Basically, you pay top dollar for the location. This no frills Hampton is clean, friendly, nice breakfast buffet in the morning but the overall hotel experience does not justify the price. Although close to town, restaurants and Arches, we, most likely, will not stay here again. We will consider staying up the road. read more

Almost exclusively, when available, we stay at a Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn. They're pretty reliable, usually a good price compared to other hotels, and have what we need. This location appears to need some work, however. Except for one person, all of the staff was terrific. Here is a list of seemingly minor issues, but to us are a big deal and here they add up. Most surprisingly, we have not encountered these issues at any other Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn. 1 - The bedsheet that underlies the thicker blanket/quilt was way too small by about half and we tried various arrangements to no success. 2 - The mini fridge worked fine, but it opened to the right while the cabinet enclosing the fridge opened to the left--this was a pain in the butt And made it a big ordeal just to open your fridge. 3 - The bathroom was upgraded to look more modern, but the toilet paper holder was placed in location almost impossible to reach from the toilet. You'll see, and I'm over six feet tall with long arms. It made absolutely no sense and was very annoying in light of the fact that they just upgraded. 4 - The toilet paper itself is pretty much unusable. It seems that you really have to go out of the way to find such crappy toilet paper. For example, I visited at least two pit toilets during our Moab trip and I wanted to take that toilet paper back to my hotel room. That's how bad their toilet paper is--I'm guessing that Motel 6 must have better toilet paper and we're thinking of having to bring our own rolls from Costco if we come back here. This is not a budget hotel or motel and there are many options in Moab, hence the two stars. But, we still like and plan to stay at Hampton Inn's and Hilton Garden Inn's across the country, so I hope management pays attention to my email. I received two surveys already from Hilton about this day, and I may try to complete those, but rarely do they ask for any actual advice. The surveys usually just ask for your general satisfaction out of 10. Good luck and I hope Hilton pays heed to such complaints. If we encounter similar issues at our next Hilton hotel, we will start to look elsewhere. read more

Great location. Good clean rooms. The outdoor pool and hot tub are great after hiking and exploring the parks. THE BREAKFAST IS THE BOMB! We stay at Hamptons all over. This Hampton has a local flare with some Chile Verde at breakfast. I talked to the guy running it. Name is Martin and he keeps it all fresh and stocked. The breakfast staff is top notch friendly and super pleasant. The lady taking care of housekeeping on my floor was super friendly and helpful. However, both nights sleep were interrupted by screaming children the floor above and upstairs with a barking dog. The first night the front desk was not reachable on several attempts of calling. The second night a manager assistant could only be reached after getting dressed and going to the front desk in the middle of the night. Problem was resolved second night after being awakened and angry. The next afternoon I made several attempts to speak with the manager. I was directed to speak to the same assistant manager that just put down his call receiver on the desk to listen to my problem the night before instead of putting the call on hold or waiting to talk to me when completed. I can only assume that who ever he was talking too listened to my complaints The manager was "unavailable" the next day " until the front desk was told never mind then she was suddenly free to talk despite working on the computer in front of the front desk for some time. Corporate was contacted at reluctantly stated they would give you a couple extra honors points because I could not sleep well for two successive nights. I received an early morning phone call, from someone saying they were the general manager, and saying he needed my credit card number for incidentals because it hadn't gone through the night before. I told this person I would be down to the desk in a few minutes, this person forcefully said you do not understand this is a system problem nothing the front desk can handle, we need your credit card number now because as soon as this phone hangs up you will automatically be checked out of your room. We fought back-and-forth several times, until I finally broke down and gave my credit card number (my bad). Long story short, it was not the hotel manager, and my credit card was used. Called the credit card company and canceled immediately. And talked to the front desk. The hotel was unresponsive, and just said their phones had been hacked into. Which did not make sense because this person knew that my room had been pre-paid for by my work and that what I had given the hotel was a card only for my incidentals. This person also knew that I was checked in there for two nights. I personally believe that it's an employee, but the hotel accepted no responsibility, gave no apology nothing, nothing whatsoever, and was insistent it was not someone in their hotel. So be VERY careful when/if you book into this hotel! read more

Typical and average Hampton Inn accomodation in the town of Moab. Few features about this hotel that is notable: fairly fast and new elevator and facilities and it is centrally located to both Arches and Canyonlands. It is about 7 miles away from the Arches National Park, 36 miles from the Island in the sky district of Canyonlands and 75 miles from the Needles district. It is obviously not very close to the Needles but it is a better option if you want access to all 3 entrances. There are also adequate dining choices within 3 miles or so from the hotel. Like any HI, they have warm (not so special) breakfast everyday to send you off to your adventure. As for the maid service, its a hit or miss. Several times certain things were missed. One day we did not a new shampoo and another our ice bucket was not emptied. Not really a big deal but could be more thorough. Another thing somewhat bothered us is the inavailability of the charging plug/usb port on the bedside. It is just more convenient having it near the bed. Overall, good enough to rest and rejuvinate your body for your next adventure. read more

I almost always stay at a HI. This one though was dissappointing. We got stuck with a room facing the main drag and heard trucks all day and night. Not to mention the blaring spot lights from the gas station across the street shining into the room all night. Room itself was mediocre compared to other HI's. My husband and I made a reservation for the 27th-28th to kick off our children's spring break. Unfortunately, he ended up in the ER and was admitted to the hospital. I called in order to move the reservation to the 28th-29th in order to give him more time to recover. Cinda answered the phone and proceeded to tell me not only were there no openings available for those dates but I would be charged for the room cancellation since it was within the "48 hour cancellation time." I then went online to the Hilton honors app and proceeded to make the changes as well as cancel the room without a fee because there is only a 24 hour policy. If the employees at this hotel are not trained on their cancellation policy, how do we know that they are even aware on Hilton's COVID-19 standards. This is truly the worst travel experience we have ever had and the disrespect was unfathomable. I do not feel very honored to stay at this establishment and have cancelled all future bookings with Hilton. First of all, we travel all of the time and have titanium status through bon voy. This never would have occurred at any Marriot property, so please spend the extra $$$ for a much better experience and do yourself a favor by not dealing with such a poor untrained hotel staff. Really comfortable room with beds that induced, for me, an instantaneous coma. Good service and a decent complimentary breakfast. Not life changing by any means. Room was very clean, lovely decor and nice size. We would probably rate it a 5 if it weren't for the horrible breakfast. Even though it is inclusive, it was awful: greasy sausage, dried out potatoes and eggs that looked like they were from another planet.
