    Room 423.

Enjoyed my visit here. Room was clean. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Just off 95 so convenient.

    Cramped parking lot

This property was very dirty and rough around the edges. There were very few places to park when we arrived, we had to park on the other side of the restaurant parallel to the hotel. The pool is outside and the majority of the year will more than likely be closed. The hallways had crumbs and small pieces of trash littered throughout. Many other dingy aspects to the decor and atmosphere. The staff and breakfast were fine. Overall, this hotel is a place to sleep and that is it, nothing else.

Hampton Inn Dunn really needs renovation. The staff were very friendly but the suite was embarrassing. We booked this for a one night away from home and birthday celebration for my husband. Needless to say, the suite was not as pictured on the site. If you showed the true pictures of the couch and chairs, we would have booked at the Fairfield. I spent my time last night calling Fairfield and walking to country inn and suites only to find they were booked as there was a softball tournament at Campbell the weekend. We were stuck and my husband's birthday getaway was a dud. We were first put in unit 500 which smelled strongly of urine. It was disgusting. I found out a family who was displaced due to a fire stayed in the unit for about 2 months they and had cats and dogs and did not apparently clean and I suppose the animals urinated in the room. I was moved to 400 which did not smell but had a rusty fridge, dirty upholstery and torn sofa. Such an embarrassment and never what I'd expect from Hampton. We have never experienced this from any other Hampton. Most certainly not satisfied and had we had another choice, we would have left.

More than an hour after being woken up (6:45 am), the sun is rising over the Exxon

A hotel is where you hope to be able to sleep. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case this morning as the Exxon next door had their landscaping company out at 5:30 am. Not kidding! We were woken up at 5:30 by leaf blowers which were followed by the lawn mowers. I called the front desk and I was told it was a fairly common occurrence (I am guessing weekly) and their guests continually complain about it. Since the noise ordinance in Dunn doesn't allow this type of activity before 7am I was shocked that nothing had been done about it. At 5:45 am I got myself dressed in a attempt to stop this lawn company, to no avail. (Sorry guests, I tried) The Hampton Inn is clearly losing revenue from this landscaping company as they have a satisfaction guarantee. 5:30 am wake-up by landscaping is not acceptable. I hope they pursue getting this permanently resoved.

Hampton inn's are typically quite a step up from the $30 a night no-name motels you'll find off the interstates. This property fits that mold: it was clean, the front desk was friendly at check in, and the room was exactly as described (Mom needs a handicapped room and that's what was waiting for us). Better yet, we arrived late and they didn't give our room away! Despite being right off the elevator, the room was quiet. I slept through the night and I'm a light sleeper. The space did lack a microwave (disappointing) but had a fridge. The size was also nice and large, both the bathroom and sleeping area. Bathroom was handicapped accessible and clean. The shower water didn't even get all over the floor! Morning breakfast had a decent spread (English muffins, eggs, bacon, a waffle station and perhaps other things I'm forgetting). The coffee was also surprisingly drinkable (I take it black and notice these things). Hampton Inn's also have interior corridors, which you don't always find at roadside places. It's quieter and perhaps slightly more secure, a nice plus. I highly recommended this property to anyone traveling on I-95 heading north or south. The town has plenty of places to eat and get fuel as well.

On hold the second time for almost 45 minutes

I had a reservation with Hampton Inn Dunn and needed to cancel due to COVID19. I called once and was placed on the counter by Rodney, listened to him having conversations, and then hung up on. I called yet again, and was placed on the counter once more to listen to his conversations. I could hear people's personal information such as their full name, phone number, address. I eventually had to call Hilton support.

Hampton Inn in Dunn North Carolina chains their pool for their guests. Geesh. How absolutely pathetic.

Father, stepmother, sister and I just returned from Wrightsville Beach and stopped at the Sagebrush to eat lunch. Saw Hampton Inn with a pool and were about to make a reservation when we were told the pool wasn't open and Maria had no idea when it would be. Their pool sign says open from 9am-10pm, but they have it chained. So, as a result of Hampton Inn's FALSE ADVERTISING, we will continue on 95N to a Jameson Inn or Marriott. And I will never stay at a Hampton because of this experience.

Nice touch... Looks like furniture you would find on the street to be thrown out.

The rooms felt clean enough, but not great. A layer of dust on bathroom shelf under sink where clean towels are kept. I was able to write "clean me" with my finger in the dust. I wonder if it will ever get cleaned. The furniture was in sad shape. See my photo to get what I mean. This hotel needs to be updated. They do a nice job on the lobby, but the rooms miss the mark. Hilton, the owner of this brand should be ashamed. They have a lot of nerve charging over $100/night. Also, they would not let me use the Yelp discount of 10% that showed on their Yelp listing. Another nice touch to top off my stay. Breakfast was better than most and the staff was very nice, so +1 for that. Not a bad choice of a hotel if you are in a jam.

    My fridge after clean seal.

There are so many things that can go wrong with a blind selection but this one had not one disappointment! The house was built in the early 1900's and has been restored to the grandeur the original owner envisioned. Alan and Patti are the owners and they have worked hard to fill the house with furniture and art appropriate to the age. I believe every guest will be pleased when they first walk in the door. The bedding is very good and very comfortable made up with nice linens not high count cotton thread but very nice. The breakfast served each morning is wonderful. We had scrambled egg, perfectly done, bacon and toast. Fresh fruit and a fluffy croissant filled with chocolate and whipped cream. Sound decadent? It is! The next morning we had quiche with cinnamon raisin toast, fresh strawberries and yes yet another croissant. Just wonderful but breakfast was not the best part. The best part is the caring attentive inn keepers..! Patti and Alan are welcoming, caring and just great people. We talked and the conversation took on the style of friends conversing not acquaintances exchanging small talk. There is an art to that and each of them possess the prompt skills to engage strangers. Dunn is good stop along route I-95, course if you could stay at the Simply Divine Inn at another place then it too would be a good stop! Book this inn and get ready for a great stay!

We get there and she tells us that not only are we not checked in but that we have to pay an extra 68$ fee on top of everything else. Then she say she needs my mother to come in with her I.D. to make sure she's actually there. We finally get through all of that, get our keys, get to our rooms just find out they're disgusting. One smells manure and dog and the other is covered in cobwebs, food particles on the floor, and obviously hasn't been wiped down. I go outside to find the front desk lady talking to my sister, telling her she mischarged her the additional fee because we had already paid it! We tell her that the first reeks of dog and manure and she goes "I can't come smell it, I have minors(her children) inside and I can't leave them alone. And I know they just cleaned that room." Ma'am why are your kids here if you're working? it was extremely unprofessional and she offered no help. So my sister goes back and requests a new room. We get up there and this one reeks of weed and is also dirty. At this point we are so tired we just wiped everything down ourselves. (We didn't find out until the next day that our fathers pillow was covered in what looked like blood.) When we went to leave the next day we saw the housekeeping putting the old sheets back on the beds in room 102 and only taking the top sheets away. Pool was not open at all, amenities sucked, and staff was very rude and unhelpful. We won't be staying here again and I'll be telling everyone I know not to go here.

He was on his motorcycle and had an event to get to and I was shortly behind him in the car with our luggage. I was so angry when I walked into this hotel room and smelled nothing but a musty moldy smell. The room was hot so I thought, maybe cutting the A/C on would help after a little while. No. It didn't. After such a long drive, I go to use the restroom and literally squatted over the seat like it was a public restroom because of how disgusting this bathroom was. The more I look around, this room reminds me of one of those that you usually only reserve per hour, if you know what I mean. I immediately started taking pictures. I'm not a confrontational person so I initially call my husband, on the verge of tears, because there was absolutely no way I could sleep in this room. There were burn holes on my bed. Mosquitoes and gnats on the ceiling and walls. My door barely latched shut and looked as if it had been kicked in numerous times. The photo with the fly on the rusty refrigerator was my room. The other room had the microwave and coffee pot in the bathroom by the sink on the counter. I didn't even want to sit my clothes on the chair because it looked like it had blood stains. The office chair they have on their desk had all of the leather peeled off of it. My husband has me come meet him at the event and show him the pictures. The pictures Ive attached are of two different rooms. We had another group with us that we reserved a room for as well. Who also just checked in and left with my husband. When I showed him these, he's just as disgusted. I was able to find another hotel across the street with great reviews and accommodations and booked with them. We leave our event and go back to the hotel to get our stuff and I turn in our key. She tells me she knows she can refund Saturday night (the next night) but doesn't know about tonight (Friday night) because we were checked in for more than 30 minutes. At that point I told her I understand but that's also why I'm turning in the key so that they don't think I'm staying the night there and that I will follow up with corporate in the morning with the photos, etc. She tells me to come in the morning when the manager is there to talk to them. I come in the next morning (different clerk at this point) and she says the manager is not in but she will give them a call because of the whole not being able to refund me for Friday night. We, at that point just leave. She calls about 5 minutes after we left to say the owner said he has refunded us both nights. Don't get me wrong, they were nice people working there but their pictures online are an absolute lie and misinterpretation of what their establishment actually looks like. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to even a roach. Shoot, they probably wouldn't stay there either. We didn't stay long enough to figure out where their "complimentary breakfast" was. I'm also still waiting on my refund. They said it takes 3-5 business days. So we'll see. So glad Country Inn & Suites (Angelique) was able to help save us that weekend.
