Friendly staff with updated and very clean rooms. Right off the highway with 2 nice restaurants a block away.

Very upset. After booking and reserving a room, I drive 8 hours, Get here and they say the hotel is sold out and they will not accommodate my reservation. I have my family with me and the other hotels are booked out around here witch i knew was going to happen, witch is why I made my reservation in advance. Very Very poor on a hotels part. Looks like I will be done staying at Hilton Properties since they let their Hotels do This! read more

Understand that this is five stars for a hotel "along the way" and not for a grand hotel. Travelling from New England to Florida, Dunn, NC is about halfway. After driving 600 miles or so, we wanted someplace clean, comfortable and accomodating to spend the night. The Hampton Inn gave us that plus breakfast. Immaculately clean, very comfortable beds, full sized bathrooms with plush towels. Help yourself breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, real waffles from a waffle iron, and freshly made oatmeal in addition to the regular cereals and pastries. The pool was clean and refreshing. There are hundreds of overnight options along I-95. IMHO, this place does it right. read more

We stay here every so often on trips from Maryland to Florida. There's a few hotels around the area, but we keep coming back here for the clean rooms and the excellent service. The staff is so sweet to us no matter how late we show up, which is surprisingly rare for hotels close to the highway. They have a nice breakfast, and the ladies working there are always so nice it's a pleasure to see them in the morning. Best hotel around :) read more

Not bad at all. It is a little hard to find, it seems the gps database is very slightly off. The rooms were clean,, but a tad dated, however the bed and chair were comfortable. Our room was very quiet despite being located near the ice maker. Breakfast was great except for the juice. It seemed watery, but the coffee, pancakes, eggs and bacon, sausage were very good. We came across the Hampton Inn while searching for an affordable, clean, and safe hotel between Florida and New Jersey. The reviews we saw looked great and we ended up booking a room for the night. We stayed only one night, but that was more than enough time to reveal that the hotel was neither affordable, clean, or safe. Upon entering our room we were greeted by the sound of what can only be described as two large men having relations in the adjacent room. I ignored it and headed towards the bathroom for a shower. I noticed a strange material on the bathroom door. A little dirty, but not a big deal. I continued further and approached the toilet. There was a brown spot on the seat. Disgusting. I planned on having a chat with the manager later. But first, I looked inside the shower. UHG. There a pink chunky material in on the interior of the door. The same chunkiness that was on the bathroom door. I ran the water and saw it sliding towards the drain. I then realized what it was, vomit. UHG. I planned on having a detailed discussion with the manager about the bathroom, but it would have to wait until tomorrow morning, I had been driving for hours and hours and simply did not have the energy to deal with this today. I hopped into the bed which was pretty clean and turned in the very tiny television to fall asleep. Early in the morning I was awoken by a phone call from the lobby. They informed me that the police were here and needed to see me. I walked downstairs and was greeted by the police. Apparently my car window had been smashed while in the Hampton Inn's parking lot and a significant portion of my luggage was stolen ( ~$800+ worth of clothes and Disney souvenirs ). The manager who was previously quiet spoke his first words to me. The Hampton Inn was in no way responsible for any damages that occurred in the Hampton Inn's parking lot, as he pointed to a sign in the lot. I ignored it and spoke to the two officers on duty. Apparently this was one of several break-ins this week. He believed that it was related to local gangs looking for firearms in the car. Wow, I wish I had known about this before I booked. The total damage to the car was around $600 and the total theft was around $800. I repeatedly attempted to request assistance from the Hampton Inn, but was never given a response. They kept saying my home owners insurance would take care of it. Sadly for me, I was only a college student and did not have home owners. In the end we discovered that the hotel was neither affordable, clean, or safe. I would not recommend. If you must stay here, please make sure that your insurance is in good order. For a average hotel very nice service. The staff is excellent and very friendly. Beds were comfortable and free breakfast.

Clean and cheap with a friendly front desk staff: period. But stay away from the free breakfast...or at least the scrambled eggs. They were definitely previously frozen. They looked like little yellow turds and didn't taste much better! read more

During a trip down south on I95, we stopped at this lovely location. The hotel is very convenient to the interstate and offers a quiet, clean and safe nights rest. The staff was very kind, helpful and supplies the guests with a lovely breakfast to start their day. We will make this a regular stop when needed as we travel north or south. read more

This was my first time staying here. I prefer Hampton Inn when I travel, but was not impressed with this hotel. The woman checking me in was a little folksy, which was fine, but kept taking about getting nachos. The room was pretty standard. There was a slight sweet smell which I couldn't tell if it was cleaning solution or perfume. Annoying, but something I could deal with. What really bothered me was the bottle of cleaning spray and a dirty cleaning rag that sat on the console table in front of the elevator. It was there from the time I checked in at 4p to the time I checked out at 9a, despite my letting the front desk know when I left the hotel for dinner. There are no vending machines, but you can buy some food/ drink items at the front desk at even more grossly inflated prices. read more

On a trip to South Carolina we stopped in Dunn NC and stayed at the Hampton Inn located just off the 95. It was listed in the AAA handbook so we thought it would be a good one night stop. Since I am a long standing Hilton honors member and try to stay at Hilton chain locations I also felt it would be a good choice. We called the hotel late in the afternoon as we were driving south to see if they had any available rooms and were told there were only two rooms left so we quickly decided to make the reservation. Because of the weather (heavy thunderstorms), time of day and the fact we had driven quite a distance my wife and I decided to stay the night The hotel had a nice lobby and the front desk staff were very accommodating and friendly. They served a nice "Hampton Inn Style Breakfast" the next morning. Food was usual Hampton Inn food which was served hot and there was also a reasonable amount of offerings to choose from. The food and eating area was also clean. The room however was barely OK. The bathroom was redone, bright and clean. However the rest of the room was not. The carpeting was a bit drab and unfortunately appeared not to have been vacuumed since there were what appeared to be lots of "crumbs" in multiple spots along the floor. They were very visible and you could not miss seeing them. The furniture was a bit worn as well. If the room had been cleaner, brighter and more appealing I would have given the hotel a better rating. However, room cleanliness is off paramount importance to me. The bathroom was clean the carpeting was not. When something so visible (dirty carpet) is in plain sight you wonder what else is there that you can't see! Their TV screen was also very small. Compared to the distance from the bed it was very hard to see clearly when your are watching from the bed. I was also a bit surprised to see the very good rating signs the hotel had been given by a hotel publication (don't recall which one) that was posted near the elevator. I guess the person(s) who rated the hotel may not have found their room to have the same problems I found. read more

If you've been in combat, the noise in this hotel may not bother you. When a room door closes anywhere on your floor, it sounds like a mortar being fired. The rooms are higher quality than the average guest (it's a depressed area), so expect the associated lack of consideration from others in terms of yelling, TV volume, etc. We were greeted by lots of crumbs on the carpet in front of our room (and throughout the hallway). I let that go for two days, then complained. No apology from the front desk, but a note was passed to housekeeping. Four days on, and the crumbs are still scattered down the hallway. As far as area restaurants go, all I can say is double up on your dosage of Lipitor. Raleigh is the closest area where it's been rumored the word "organic" was used. read more

Conveniently located right off I-95. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated very tastefully done and clean. The staff was friendly and courteous. There's a good Steakhouse within walking distance. Would have given it five stars except my husband did not like the pillows and they ran out of potatoes an hour before breakfast was over. This will definitely be a stop for us coming back to New Jersey from Florida every year. read more

So pleasantly surprised! Soccer event brought us to this gem of a hotel. Hospitality is wonderful - Patrick is the guest services manager and he is absolutely wonderful. Made our stay extremely fun and entertaining. He tended to all the guest as if they were his family. The hotel is very well maintained, rooms are very clean and they even wash the comforters for each guest arrival. read more

This was very clean and convenient to I-95. We stayed there on our way to Hilton Head and stayed once again on our way home. The problem when we checked out and on the way home I found several spots on my hands and arms that itched. On the ride home they started appearing in more places and were extremely itchy. They lasted 4 days and there are still some spots that itch with red small raised welts. I am not sure if there were bed bugs or someone brought fleas in. The first room we stayed in did not have the problem and that stay was pleasant, the breakfast is very good. We found the staff pleasant. read more

Checked into this hotel with the intention of visiting my son at Seymour Johnson AFB. When we told the desk clerk why we were there, she informed us we were 45 minutes away. The desk clerk and her assistant proceeded to go on map-quest to help us find our way. In fact after we checked into our room, they came with updated driving directions which they felt would be more direct and safer for us to travel. In my opinion, they went above and beyond. Also, the room was very clean. In the future if I should be so fortunate to see my Son at Seymour Johnson, this is where I will stay. read more

My niece and I drove from Savannah, GA to Virginia Beach, VA. I was driving an older vehicle with no A/C so we decided to split the eight hour drive into two days (just to not push the car). We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Dunn. Everything was top notch and we couldn't of been happier. Very clean and spacious room. read more

The worst. The room doesn't have a mini fridge or a bathtub. For $100 bucks a night, I expected more. The hotel is empty, yet they put someone right next to our room on the 4thfloor and they have their tv blasting. The toilet roll wasn't new either. Bad room. Bad choice! read more

I was stranded alone in Dunn, NC due to car breakdown for 9 nights. Thankfully with the help of AAA, I was brought to Dunn Hampton Inn, I am wheelchair bound and could not believe how helpful, kind all of the staff were. Everyone was amazing and did everything possible to make my stay enjoyable and less stressful, Natalie, Shannon, Lisa and everyone else, I can't remember all of the names were amazing.
