We stayed for a night, having found it by chance of an internet search. A 120 year old home, meticulously and exquisitely restored and furnished by the owners. My wife and I selected this wonderful inn from the internet and we were so fortunate to have found such a gem. There are so many things that can go wrong with a blind selection but this one had not one disappointment! The house was built in the early 1900's and has been restored to the grandeur the original owner envisioned. Alan and Patti are the owners and they have worked hard to fill the house with furniture and art appropriate to the age. I believe every guest will be pleased when they first walk in the door. The bedding is very good and very comfortable made up with nice linens not high count cotton thread but very nice. The breakfast served each morning is wonderful. We had scrambled egg, perfectly done, bacon and toast. Fresh fruit and a fluffy croissant filled with chocolate and whipped cream. Sound decadent? It is! The next morning we had quiche with cinnamon raisin toast, fresh strawberries and yes yet another croissant. Just wonderful but breakfast was not the best part. The best part is the caring attentive inn keepers..! Patti and Alan are welcoming, caring and just great people. We talked and the conversation took on the style of friends conversing not acquaintances exchanging small talk. There is an art to that and each of them possess the prompt skills to engage strangers. Dunn is good stop along route I-95, course if you could stay at the Simply Divine Inn at another place then it too would be a good stop! Book this inn and get ready for a great stay! read more

This place is a gem! It is very clean, super accommodating/ friendly staff and amazing breakfast served at time you choose. I loved the character and charm of the house and the property. The neighborhood was safe, quiet and great to take a morning walk around. Will definitely stay here again and have recommended to several friends and family! read more

Had a great stay at B&B... new owner Mary treated us very well, and was very accommodating. The facility is nice and rustic and the room we stayed in was quite large. Plenty of hot water and pressure in the bathroom. The breakfast was very good, a Spanish Fritatta. Would definitely recommend and would easily return. read more

I was planning a weekend trip to Myrtle Beach, SC and wanted somewhere on the way to stay for a Friday night. I came across Simply Divine Bed and Breakfast on Hotels.com. The reviews were impressive. Everyone seemed to love it and I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast so I decided to give it a shot. Bed: The house was impressive. Everything is very clean and has that old early 1900's decor. The room was very large and had a bathroom connected directly to it. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was probably one of the only modern things I saw in the whole house. The owners were very accommodating, very friendly, and very laid back. Breakfast: Holy crap, this was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The selection that they served was diverse and the quality was top notch. If I was in the area and didn't need a place to stay, I would still see if they would serve me. Overall, a great experience that I intend on including in my next trip through North Carolina. read more

After reading all the great reviews on Trip Advisor and Hotels.com, we were very excited about our reservation. However, the trouble with this hotel began a few days before we actually arrived. First, I called two days before our arrival to confirm our reservation. I had booked two nights - Friday and Saturday - they had us noted for only one night. Fortunately, this error was fixed quickly. Yet, upon our arrival, we noticed that the mishaps continued. At breakfast, the gentleman waiting on all the guests basically ignored us and served everyone else in the dining room. Finally, after everyone received service, he came over to our table and served us a meal of scrambled eggs with salsa poured over it, under cooked bacon, Walmart sausage, and fruit cup from a can. Okay, not the best of service and not the greatest food I have ever had at a B & B, but we dealt with it. So then we went back to our room, and I needed an iron. I wandered the house, looking for a staff member, and it took me 15 minutes to locate someone. Then, I waited an additional 15 minutes to get the iron and board delivered to the room! Okay, annoying, but again, we dealt with it. In the effort to get out and about, we asked the owner of the hotel what he could recommend any local attractions. He claimed he didn't know about anything in the area. We did think this was odd; however, once again, we shrugged it off. Fast forward to late evening when we return for our second night stay. Upon our arrival back to the hotel, we found that our room had not been made up, our bathroom was not cleaned, and fresh towels were not put in the room! I have never, ever stayed at any hotel - five star to one star - where the room was not made up. Needless to say, we were not pleased. We did address these issues with the owner of the hotel, and she was sympathetic. However, due to the numerous customer service issues, we were not pleased with our choice. The house is beautiful, I will give it that. Yet when it comes to customer service, this place truly lacks. read more

What a beautiful house. This 1900 establishment is everything you want from a B&B. The exterior is exquisite with oversized porches, manicured lawns, and stately curb appeal. Inside features and men's and women's parlor, grandiose staircase, and oversized crown molding throughout. The bedrooms are luxurious with private bathrooms in each. Our innkeeper was gracious and friendly but gave us privacy and permission to roam the grounds. Breakfast was yummy with eggs, bacon, sweet potato pancakes, along with fresh fruit. You should support this bed and breakfast. They are worth the short drive to Dunn, NC. read more

My newly wedded wife and I came here after our wedding ceremony and was not dissatisfied in any way. Bed and Breakfasts are an acquired taste and not for everyone, but for my wife and I, it was excellent. Stayed in the Opal Room on May 11th, 2018. I surprised my husband of 12 years for his birthday by booking a night at the bed and breakfast, a couples massage and a Zip lining tour. Simply Divine staff did a great job of being discreet before our reservation, and our experience there was phenomenal. I booked the romance on a shoestring package, which included fresh flowers, chocolates, and champagne in our room. The couple that runs the place are very good at communicating with you, the grounds, house and rooms are beautiful, the breakfast was AMAzing...if i could give it 6 stars, I would. We were thrilled with our stay at Simply Divine. The owner could not have been more accomodating. Our room was huge, gorgeous and very comfortable. The linens were all first class, I could not believe the thickness of the towels and wash cloths. We will definitely stay there on our way home from Florida. If it were possible I would give this 10 stars. The house and gardens are magnificent. My husband who has built houses was totally impressed with the way the house was built. The stained glass windows, moldings and woodwork are gorgeous. The breakfast was delicious. read more

My wife and I were driving home to NJ from FLA so central NC seemed like a good place for an over night stay. We wouldn't usually consider a B&B for a one night stay, especially on a Monday night, but we did and I'm now so happy I stumbled upon Simply Divine. We were expected at 7PM, but ran into delays and also got lost so didn't arrive until 10PM. We were greeted very warmly and immediately offered something to eat and drink. Our room was clean, charming and extremely comfortable. This was our last night away from home after being on the road for 30 days and our bed at this B&B was the nicest and most comfortable of all the different places we stayed at. Breakfast was simple, but first class and the service was attentive. I almost wanted to extend our trip, but there's not much to do in Dunn, NC on a cold Tuesday morning in early March. read more

We were traveling from Baltimore to Florida. Found this place on Hotels.com. Simply Divine is a great place to stay. Large rooms, comfortable beds, friendly service and a good breakfast all for the price a standard motel room. We plan to catch this place again on the way back home. read more
