The only good thing I can say about this place, is they refunded me my whole weekend. My husband went to the hotel before me, checked in and then left (didn't look at the room). He was on his motorcycle and had an event to get to and I was shortly behind him in the car with our luggage. I was so angry when I walked into this hotel room and smelled nothing but a musty moldy smell. The room was hot so I thought, maybe cutting the A/C on would help after a little while. No. It didn't. After such a long drive, I go to use the restroom and literally squatted over the seat like it was a public restroom because of how disgusting this bathroom was. The more I look around, this room reminds me of one of those that you usually only reserve per hour, if you know what I mean. I immediately started taking pictures. I'm not a confrontational person so I initially call my husband, on the verge of tears, because there was absolutely no way I could sleep in this room. There were burn holes on my bed. Mosquitoes and gnats on the ceiling and walls. My door barely latched shut and looked as if it had been kicked in numerous times. The photo with the fly on the rusty refrigerator was my room. The other room had the microwave and coffee pot in the bathroom by the sink on the counter. I didn't even want to sit my clothes on the chair because it looked like it had blood stains. The office chair they have on their desk had all of the leather peeled off of it. My husband has me come meet him at the event and show him the pictures. The pictures Ive attached are of two different rooms. We had another group with us that we reserved a room for as well. Who also just checked in and left with my husband. When I showed him these, he's just as disgusted. I was able to find another hotel across the street with great reviews and accommodations and booked with them. We leave our event and go back to the hotel to get our stuff and I turn in our key. She tells me she knows she can refund Saturday night (the next night) but doesn't know about tonight (Friday night) because we were checked in for more than 30 minutes. At that point I told her I understand but that's also why I'm turning in the key so that they don't think I'm staying the night there and that I will follow up with corporate in the morning with the photos, etc. She tells me to come in the morning when the manager is there to talk to them. I come in the next morning (different clerk at this point) and she says the manager is not in but she will give them a call because of the whole not being able to refund me for Friday night. We, at that point just leave. She calls about 5 minutes after we left to say the owner said he has refunded us both nights. Don't get me wrong, they were nice people working there but their pictures online are an absolute lie and misinterpretation of what their establishment actually looks like. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to even a roach. Shoot, they probably wouldn't stay there either. We didn't stay long enough to figure out where their "complimentary breakfast" was. I'm also still waiting on my refund. They said it takes 3-5 business days. So we'll see. So glad Country Inn & Suites (Angelique) was able to help save us that weekend. read more

The owners should be ashamed of their complete lack of concern for the physical upkeep of the property. I am amazed that the franchise has allowed them to continue to operate under the Choice brand. This horrible property is NOT a true indicator of the Choice Hotels brand quality. The positive - Jamie at the front desk was likeable and informative. She recommended the attached mexican restaurant and we found it reasonably priced and good. Our room was clean. The negative - EVERYTHING else! The room seemed dingy with scuff marks on the entrance door and stains on the easy chair and desk chair with a slight smell of mustyness. ALL the lamps were rusty and all the shades were broken and stained. I did go back to the desk, but it seems all the rooms have similar deficiencies. This room had no ironing board or dry cleaning bags. In addition, the exhaust fan did not work in the bathroom. The topper was the major leak into our bathroom at 4:30AM with the ceiling falling in. The front desk did give us another room to shower. There are no phones in the rooms, so we had to get dressed to go to the front desk....I think a major security issue not having phones. I changed this from 1 star to 2 stars because the GM did the right thing and refunded our money. read more

Stayed there for almost a month, poor customer service!I would never stay there again. When it was time to check out they made up a lie to not give us our deposit back. Police was there almost every night, they have bugs really bad and the room didn't look very clean cause when we checked in their was condoms under the bed. Definitely don't recommend this place. I had first room that telephone sid not work, nasty carpet and bathtub. I entered room a ND looked around there was toilet paper in commode so I flushed toilet then I used toilet and flushed it started to overrun I hD to go to office cause phone in room wad not working. I was than giving another room it was a little better but not by much no telephone in room. When I flushed commode water up running eve after it filled up. Stayed here this past week because my parents/myself relocated and were waiting to close on a new home... While this location is outdated, has spotty Wi-Fi, and no longer offers a full hot breakfast (they have a sad looking breakfast area and says still due to covid), the staff make up for it by being so friendly, caring, and accommodating. All 3 women at the desk were super helpful, especially the manager who helped us with pricing on our 2 rooms. The housekeeping crew were so nice and I spoke w them several times during our stay. Another perk is they're dog friendly and have a lot of space to walk your pup...I've stayed at a plethora of choice hotels and I always find ones that are dog friendly are usually a little more "worn in" (not all but a good amount)...I will say the rooms must be well insulated because I really couldn't hear neighbors or cars in lot (we stayed all the way around back so there was less going on too, but at times it was busy and I still really couldn't hear any outside disruptions). They also have good hot water and water pressure, so that's always a plus. For the price I paid, how myself and my parents were treated, how our dogs were treated, I think this location is good. My star rating is 1 for the front desk, 1 for housekeeping, 1 for the space my dogs had access to, and 1 for room size/price/quietness read more

Worst hotel ever seen. Nasty!! Online images nothing like it. Bathroom floor filthy, cigarette burn comforter, torn carpet, toilet paper/Kleenex holder falling out, lamps/mirrors rusted. Front desk girl extremely rude, talked over us, raised her voice, told us we were liars when she disagreed with what we said, threatened to call law, raised her voice to get off her property when we tried to tell her how bad the room was & we wanted a refund. Told us we could get a refund for the second day but would not give us a printed confirmation of cancellation. Told us we were there 2 hours so couldn't have refund. I wish I had read the reviews before getting a room here but it was 1:00am, we were tired from a 9 hour drive, and the 3 hotels we tried first had no vacancies. You could see where they tried to update the place, but overall it was gross. We wouldn't use the shower. Halls and rooms reeked of stale smoke. Finish on most of the doors was peeling. FILTHY. As soon as I walked into my room, I was skeptical. All metal in the room was rusted, the dresser doors didn't even shut all the way, stains everywhere, and it was super outdated and run-down. The switch on the bedside lamp was literally broken off. I placed my bags on wooden surfaces only because I was immediately worried about creepy crawlies. The room smells like cigarette smoke and weed. Everything in the room felt damp- the comforter and towels were still damp (assuming they hadn't been dried all the way) and had cigarette burns on them. The towels were disgusting- they had brown and black stains on them. I should have just walked out right then and there, but I decided to go next door for dinner to think things through. Upon my return, I got into bed and was on my laptop when a BEDBUG literally crawled on me. That was the last straw. I packed up my things, took photos for proof, and went down to the front desk. The front desk lady acted so surprised... I asked for a refund (I had been there less than 3 hours) and she said her manager would call me in the morning. The manager never called (its been 4 days). I keep calling the front desk myself, but the manager is never there at the property. You'd think management would be more prompt after such a terrible experience. total dump! They take a pet fee but never use it to shampoo the carpets. When white socks turn instantly black you know the carpet hasn't been done in a long time. We usually stay at simply divine bed and breakfast but they had no rooms that night. For a little more money the B & B is beautiful, eat off the floor and I think no pet fee. read more

Visiting here is a cinematic experience. You really feel as though you may run into a broke teen runaway or drug addled mafioso. I applaud them for the attention to detail. They artfully recreated all the trappings of a filthy hovel such as the choking smoke smell caught in the walls, strange stains on the floor, and a single dead cockroach in the bathroom for a splash of color. It reminded me of fond memories watching Dateline with my parents, seeing prostitutes sprawled on cheap carpet. If you would enjoy such an immersive look into the life of societies underbelly then I can't recommend this inn enough. Just keep in mind there will be some stickiness to the sheets but this only deepens the experience the same way having rusted shrapnel instead of a shower handle does. All this being said, if you're in the market for a hotel you won't feel tainted for sleeping in I'd suggest looking elsewhere. read more

We stayed here for one night on our road trip home from vacation. The room smelled like smoke and the place was kind of rundown in a way you'd except a motel to be, but the staff was super nice and the rate for one night was very inexpensive. We booked through Hotels.com and the room was exactly what we reserved. We woke up in the middle of the night because the room was so hot, we had to turn the air under the window. I don't know if I'd stay here again because the outside noise was a little much on the first floor and the smoke smell was pervasive, but if you're on a budget and need some place in a pinch this is a good place to stop. read more

If I could give this hotel ​minus stars. Quality Inn Dunn NC I would. It was disgusting​. The ceiling was totally​ black with mold, not just a spot the whole ceiling, they said it wasn't mold but it was, Said it was going to be painted. What to cover up the mold??? The bathroom grout​ in the​ ​ shower was black, hole in Bathroom​ ceiling was​ filled with toilet paper. The shower​ curtain was all stained and very old. Room smelled like smoke even tho it was a non-smoking​ room. carpet old and dirty​. When we pulled covers down the sheets were stained. Complained to the ​office, they said they had no other non-smoking​ rooms. They did change the sheets. There was a shady looking group of men and women that stayed right outside our room all evening til after midnight smoking, drinking beer and loud talking. We were very nervous​ about going out with the dog about 11pm We would have left but with​ the recent​ hurricane, we were unable to get another reservation. Gross! There were big bugs in the tub and smaller bugs on the walls. The drains were clogged drains. And I don't want to think about how all those stains got on the walls and ceiling! You definitely shouldn't stay if you have children or pets as there is an empty "pool" in the back that doesn't have safety fencing around it but does have a rotting tree in it. I recommend sleeping in your car by the side of the road. read more

For a clean inexpensive overnight stay this is a great stay. It is an older hotel but clean and comfortable.

This place is absolutely disgusting. There were spider webs in the room, microwave looked like it hadn't been been cleaned in months. When I removed the sheets from the bed to dust it off there were yellow stains on the bed sheets. The carpet was also gross. We ended booking at the Fairfield inn on the following exit. Cockroaches on the bread so I didn't have breakfast. Stay was in October 2015. Cleaning in the carpets leaves something to be desired. The people working at the desk were the best! The hotel needs work. But to tell the worker in the kitchen twice that there is a roach on the bread and have her just continue to look at her cell phone is unacceptable. Stay far from this hotel. I stayed at this Quality Inn on May 5th, and the only good thing was the night clerk, who was very nice and made me feel welcomed. When I got to my room which was on the first floor, I was totally appalled. We had to Queen sized beds and thankfully there were 2 because the one was disgusting, it looked like someone had rolled on the sheets and covered it with the comforter. The vent in the bathroom was loaded with so much dirt it was awful. Over the sink there was so much scum on the trim that I felt like I needed to rewash because my hand bumped in it. The switch to turn on the lights next to the entry door had so much dirt around it and above it, I used a towel to turn it on and off. I took pictures of the problems and plan on turning them in. Very Very disappointing. I did turn in the problems the next morning at check out and when I went in no one was at the front desk. When I said hello, a very rude woman (apparently the managers wife or relative) yelled I'm coming like I had bothered her while she was eating. I told her how disgusting the place was and she never offered any solutions or comments to me. With all my travels, this place was the biggest let down I had ever experienced. Shame on them. read more
