Although I prefer to stay at slightly higher end hotel properties like Hilton Garden Inn and Doubletrees, this Hampton Inn reminded me of what a great value this hotel chain can be. Front office staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and modern. Beds and pillows were comfy, clean and warm. The gym was pretty good. Breakfast was the consistent breakfast you get at Hampton Inn. I find most Hampton Inns to be very consistent in that they are not old dated hotels, nothing fancy but it's clean and quiet which is perfect for my needs.

Comfy beds, clean rooms, areas to relax or work and nice bathrooms.

I always enjoy staying at Hampton when I travel. I normally wouldn't be traveling out-of-state during a pandemic but this trip was due to yet another Uncle's death. I had to be there. Parking wasn't an issue and the lots are well lite. The Clerk was friendly, professional and extremely helpful. He even went as far as to come to my room and re-sync the T.V. to the cable box. The T.V. is a must have for me and he avoided the need to change rooms. The king size bed was extremely comforable (no bugs or spiders) plus the room was already set at a cool sleeping temperature. The room had a cozy sofa plus a large desk and work area. I love having a fridge and microwave for leftovers, medicine and my beverages. The bathroom was spotless stocked with bath products, blow dryer and towels. The shower water pressure was terrific and the water was hot quickly. This Hampton is one of the few still serving guests a hot breakfast (6a - 9a). The breakfast area had tables spaced appropriately and everyone spaced themselves at the large breakfast island. The doorway to the breakfast bar had a table across the entrance with a menu to select from. The woman taking the orders was very personable and made each guest feel welcomed. Once you selected your breakfast she dished from the chafers and prepared all, then hand delivered to you. Masks and gloves were worn at all times. I had the scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy. Fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, danish, juices, boiled eggs and more was offered. Coffee was self-serve in the lobby conveniently located at the breakfast area entrance. I so appreciated having coffee as the last Hampton I stayed at couldn't offer coffee (coffee pot in rooms) nor a hot breakfast. I didn't use the pool or the gym so I can't speak to those areas or if they were even open during the pandemic. The staff all wore masks, were friendly, the hotel was clean and I saw staff sanitize areas often. Thank you to the staff for a comfortable and pleasant stay at the Dickson Hampton.

Not too far off interstate, but could be challenging to find for some. Lots of gas stations and restaurant options near by. The reason for the lower score is there was a huge stain on carpet, the a/c was not very effective. Breakfast was okay and nothing special. Price for all of that was somewhat high.

I've stayed here for two years in a row for work and it's only, impressively managed to get worse. It appears to be under new management and they have run this already piss hole hotel into the ground. The two share a single brain cell and you are lucky if they have it at all. The doors make a loud creek sound when you open them. The ice machine is leaking onto the carpet and the only solution is to put a bunch of towels down until they becoming a sopping moat you have to walk over to get to the floors only trash can. My window is quite literally taped together. The rooms are genuinely disgusting which makes sense considering I've yet to see a single house keeper. When I asked for new towels, I had to point to where they were for the guy who was horribly confused at what was a simple enough system, that I was able to figure it out in a few minutes as a non employee. When I asked for my Amazon package, I was told they didn't have it. I had to prove to the guy it was delivered here and describe what I thought it would've been delivered in for him to magically find it. Do you feel comforted yet? Probably not right? But don't worry it gets better. Because one of the people in my group got a concave broken mattress with TOENAIL clippings in it. When he asked to switch he was told they were sold out and to come back. Well the front desk told someone else in our group the next day that they did have a room and he could switch. When he finally comes to switch they are magically sold out and he never said they. They claimed to have put a note under his door and have held a room for two days, both lies. We asked if they could just switch the mattress for ya know one that wasn't broken. He REFUSED. We asked if we could even switch it with one of the extra ones within our groups room and he said no. Customer service who? This place is HORRIFYING. So do yourself a favor and do not put your money here. Stay genuinely anywhere else. 2025 You are better off in a tent This place is a $h!t hole and is run by people who severely do not not what day it is. These rooms are genuinely disgusting and almost inhabitable and the staff running this place should be embarrassed. This is not hospitality, it's prison. My room is disgusting. If it was cleaned the individual must have been blind, Mute, deaf and handicaps. Because YIKES. Tonight I spent 15 minutes trying to exchange towels and I std to talk the guy into which towels werp

He was Governor for 10 years, which at the time was the longest of any 20th century Governor. Second, it shows us what a railroad hotel looked like back in the 1920's. Where else can you find that? Clement was literally born in this hotel, which is how those two things came together, and it's an interesting mix of railroad history and memorabilia, political memorabilia and photos, and other interesting historical aspects of this little hamlet in Middle Tennessee. It's nice to see that some small towns still maintain their individuality and show some unique perspective where not every business has to be a chain, and not every attraction has to include a Starbucks in the lobby. If you decide to take a drive and visit, I also recommend you stroll around the corner either direction for a bite at either Lugo's on Main Street or The Front Porch on Center Avenue. Dickson is striving to invigorate it's Main Street similar to so many small towns in the area, but what's nice about their version is there's not a chain store in sight anywhere downtown. I am from here, but live in Franklin now, and even our award-winning Main Street has a Starbucks. Here's it's House Blend for coffee not too far away. So if you're interested in trains, or interested in historic hotels, or interested in railroad life, or interested in the history of the Democratic party in Tennessee... go spend a few hours here.
