I am lying in bed very glad that I could find a place where there was an indoor pool and great prices because my daughters consider an indoor heated pool a vacation and I could move my aunt with their "help" and few disappointments for them. You might think 4 stars is crazy for a hotel that STINKS of smoke (I smoked for 25 years and it even offends me) from their almost unheard of smoking rooms, pile of lumber by the inside pool (why does an inside pool need lumber?), and stupid free standing mini-fridge with microwave on top. Above the room where we slept there were activities going on that I would have applauded when I was 20. Good job sir. The pace, duration, athleticism, and multiple climax were note worthy. If I needed tips, I would seek you out. Fortunately, my daughters were tired from swiming in your tiny, heated, indoor pool, that has a lumber pile, no tables, and dirty chairs, and they couldn't care less. Neither could I. This is the absolute best spot to spend little and get a place to swim and sleep. If you want class, stop spending $55 and spend $250, which was the next place with an indoor heated pool and no lumber. So, yes, they are a nice dump for $55 a night. They suck if you want to spend $250, but they are the best you could ever get at $55 for a clean room, two queen bed, and an indoor heated pool. I am a contractor and I would gut this place and give you great style at double the price. For a quick visit with family, I'm glad these cheapskates own this place and not me. I will say, the front desk person was very rude when I pointed out there was no milk. She didn't say thanks or let me help you, she said "I just filled it" as if I were lying or had taken all the milk. And then she asked my room number as if I were stealing their meager offerings. Oh, and breakfast until 9 doesn't mean the entire selection, it means whatever's left when you show up. For us that was waffles, one type of mini muffin, bread, apples, and that's it. Well first of all one of the bedrooms smelled like pot very strong then I did get a good sleep but the air conditioning cord kept falling out. Then they only had waffles and sandwiches for breakfast not even cereal just a bad motel experience would 10/10 not recommend it also was very pricey for garbage read more

I thought with the wyndam name it would have been better but the employees were horrible and condescending and I watched them call the cops at least 3 times once on a 72 yr old woman and she was very calm. I was really impressed with this Super 8. It was clean and nicely decorated. Reasonably priced. That bed was amazing, and even the shower pressure was great. This is my 3rd stay at this property. As in my other reviews of hotels in the area, this one is on the top of my list. The wifi has good speed, the staff is great, and the rooms are freshly remodeled. As Kendra mentioned, the bedding is a little itchy, but works if you are on a budget (at least its all there, unlike the property next door). Would I stay here again? You bet. Unless I have the extra cash to afford the holiday inn down the road, this is the best bang for your buck in this area. read more

The hotel is bleh, but staff is great. Very good customer service here, and I did not feel unsafe at all, despite staying alone and arriving after dark. The hotel manager remembered who I was at checkout, and I was a bit surprised that he was actually able to give me my bill without asking me which room, but then again it's not a huge hotel. The room was $39.99/night and included a small fridge, microwave, & tiny coffeemaker in the room. They state that wireless internet is available, and there were several routers to connect with for excellent signal, but none of them seemed to connect to the internet. (I don't know why!?) I asked if there was an access code needed, but the desk said no. I gave up, and was able to connect to Motel 6's network (next door), and use theirs. Needed a fax sent, and staff was able to accommodate at no cost. Bed was average, but bedding was awful! Sheets were like 12-count and itchy, and pillows were really old and lumpy. Ended up going out to my car and pulled a blanket out of the back seat to curl up with between me and the bedding. Breakfast was included, with signs posted requesting that it only be eaten in the lobby area. Don't count on a fancy spread- breakfast included bagels, muffins, frozen waffles and a toaster. There were 2 cereals, with a pitcher of milk, Apple Juice, OJ, and coffee. Fruit was there, but it was old spotty brown bananas. Would I come back? Maybe.. If I were really tired & driving through the area again. Staff was pleasant, the place was clean, I felt safe there, and the price was low. But I'd ask if they'd replaced the bedding, and consider other places if not. read more

I'm a faithful user of Super 8 all over the nation and I can honestly say this is the only time I have ever been let down. The beds were not changed since the previous stayer, and the tub was full of pubic hair as well as the toilet apron check in. Our room was obviously not cleaned between stays and the gentlemen (assuming), before me was a shedder. Housekeeping was not inspected. Your expectations are certainly going to be a little lower than if you're booking the Holiday Inn. For a budget hotel, we liked this one quite a lot. The staff were very cordial and friendly, the wifi was fast and strong, and the breakfast was....well, it was pretty much what you'd expect at a budget hotel...cereal, some fruit, and a waffle maker. We (me, hubby, kids) stopped here on 8/7/11, traveling from OK to MD. I reserved a non-smoking room with 2 queen beds. We arrived and were checked in, lugged our stuff and the kids upstairs and to the end of the hall, got to the room to discover that it was a king bed room. We all went back downstairs to have the error corrected, and were given a new room on the 1st floor, again at the end of the hall. We got to this room and found it had 2 queen beds, but was a smoking room. We decided not to switch since it was 11pm and we just wanted to go to bed. Upon further looking around, we found hairs on the toilet seat and on the ledge of the tub. Ick. Tiny graying towels. Shampoo but no conditioner. Thin mattresses, blankets are awful and pilly, very very old and used. Super thin sheets, awful old lumpy pillows -only 2 per bed. Furniture looks beaten up. Tv has a horrible picture. I didn't feel that the room was clean enough to walk around barefoot, thank god for flip-flops! Trying to sleep I kept feeling itchy, just feeling disgusted with the room and praying there weren't any bedbugs. Another person mentioned remodeled rooms - I don't know what the discrepancy is, but these rooms clearly haven't been remodeled. Maybe they only remodeled a portion of the rooms? In the morning I went down to check out the breakfast at 8:30am (it ends at 9). A basket of apples, a few muffins & bagels, and 2 kinds of dry cereal. There was a waffle maker, but I didn't pay attention to it. Signs posted everywhere that tell you to eat the food there, don't take it back to your room. There are also signs on the ice makers telling you not to use them to fill your cooler. We checked out around 9:30am, and got a couple minutes away when I realized I left my cell phone in the room. We turned back and the manager gave me a key, but as I walked down the hall, a male menber of the cleaning staff had my phone in his hand. I told him it was mine and he handed it to me, however he had been calling my voicemail. WTF? We paid about $65 for this room with tax. Never again. I'll pay $100 for the Hampton Inn. read more

We arrived late and didn't feel like searching for a room so we stayed here. The front desk guy was very nice and helpful. We found the room nasty. I'm 99.999% certain the sheets had not been changed from the previous guest. Dust on EVERYTHING! No latch on the bathroom door so it wouldn't stay closed and no matter who you're traveling with we all need a certain level of privacy. The motel had obviously been remodeled so I don't understand not putting forth a little effort and keeping it nice AND CLEAN! The hallways were filthy. I tried to use the back door and my card key didn't want to work and an employee standing there just looked at me like I had 3 heads. Won't be back. read more

I would stay here again. It was a quick stop for us on our road trip to Texas and definitely served its purpose. The hotel itself although a smoking hotel didn't reek of smoke. It smelled pretty nice. I chose a non smoking room. It was clean and organized in the lobby. The front desk attendant was nice and very helpful. Our room was large and clean along with the bathroom. No complaints there. Plenty of wallet friendly food options within walking distance or a short drive away. A few miles up the road you can find a shopping center with stores like Ross and Marshall's. The area wasn't sketchy. Breakfast included the standard continental breakfast items like muffins, coffee, cereal and juice. Waffle maker as well. Enough to get some food in your belly if you're hitting the road. Overall I was pleased with my stay and would recommend to others. read more

What a dive!! If you are a nonsmoking guest you're still smelling it thanks to management not enforcing the rules. Smokers lighting up in their rooms and propping their doors open so the smoke goes into the hallway. Cigarette butts all over the ground outside. People stood near the exterior doors so the smell of cigarettes came into the building and in your face. Yuck!!! Trash littered the exterior the entire time we were there which included beer cans, empty cigarette packages, fast food wrappers, etc. Mattress was old and dipped severely in the center. I have stories about hotels with bedbugs that ended better than my stay here. At check in they put me in a smoking room. I don't smoke so I asked to be put in a nonsmoking room. Well that room had roaches. So I requested to move to the smoking room, and they accommodated that. So in the smoking room there weren't any roaches, but it smelled awful. Worse than a cigarette soiled room should smell, but it was one am and I was exhausted. So I did my usual check for bedbugs, and discovered that the horrible smell was in fact the mattress. Which someone had obviously peed on and hadn't been properly cleaned. So I slept in the chair. I woke up early began my drive home and received an email from my bank about going over on spending. They charged me twice for the room. I had to call them three times and have my boss call them to resolve the issue, which still took a week. Do yourself a favor and take a hard pass on this one. read more

The non smoking room smelled so bad that I had to wash all my clothes when I got home, even the clothes that stayed in my suitcase. They were remolding the rooms and my room was covered in Sheetrock dust. We only got wash clothes one day of our stay. We had coffee but no coffee pot. Overall not a nice stay. read more

I recently stayed at this hotel, and won't go back . Problems as follows: 1) Owner/Operator stated not enough towels were available since motel was booked. Suggested that towels that were given,to be re-used. No problem but not enough to begin with. 2). Continental breakfast only from 6 am. to 9 am. Needs to be longer til 10 am. for guests!! 3). Rollaway cot rented for 4 nights was broken, missing links and when staff was notified of such stated" don't have another." !!!!! 4.) No clear WiFi directions for use. 5.) Unable to use credit card for purchases, other than what reservation was made under. 6.) Unfriendly night shift worker upon check-in. ( Kenneth) 7.) Very small coffeemaker in bathroom!! 8.) Room mattress lumpy with loud springs. 9.) Unclean floors in rooms! ( found toenail upon floor) 10.) No kleenex found in bathroom upon check in. 11.) Owner/Operator unaware of special circumstances with guests that stayed in this room. ( Booked with Priceline, notified hotel twice of this and Priceline itself!!!!) 12.) Unable to obtain receipt for stay after check out due to booking with Priceline. 13.) Dirty carpet in Halls! 14.) No non-slip pads in bathtub! Very slippery!! 15.) Some unsavory clientele seen, especially in rear of hotel!! ( approached by one!) On a positive note: Owner did apologize for unfriendly staff, breakfast area very clean, towels provided for use of pool but was questioned extensively about how many and that they don't have enough!! We will never stay at the Super 8 in Dickson again! At check in the room was not clean. In a non smoking room an ashtray with discarded cigarette on the bed stand. The bed appeared to have been made without changing the linens so we asked for different room. The next room wasn't any better. The third room seemed ok but we didn't realize the AC was not working well. The next day they brought another AC from a room close by and put the broken one from our room back in it. The replacement AC broke too. A repairman came later in the day and seemed to fix the problem however it didn't last. Another night of a hot miserable room. The window would not stay up without a brace to hold it. When it started raining hard, rain came through due to the weather stripping non existence. When my friend took a bath she noticed mold and mildew and could also smell the fecal matter coming from the toilette. She cleaned both with the Clorox wipes we had. The amount of fecal matter under the rim of the toilette was not to be believed. The snack machine had out of date snacks. I saw the owners unload their car of drinks and snacks so I would think they should be aware. The breakfast is done it seems the cheapest way possible and the worst I have ever been offered by a hotel. The sheets are thin, the blanket and comforter had an odd odor according to my friend. The towels and wash clothes are thin and did not look clean due to stains and the occasional hairs stuck in the fabric. The owners took great acception when I would complain and became argumentative within a couple of days of our stay. I heard the owner say something about white people to his wife but I couldn't hear exactly what he said. I didn't respond and let it go. I only wanted one week of our stay on a particular debit card and they charged two weeks. I wanted the remainder on a different debit card. It caused an overdraft but they did not care. The Hampton Inn and the Comfort Inn are about the same price and will be our choice next time!! read more

We read the reviews and almost didn't stop here, but it was the only Super 8 close by and we were very tired coming off the highway. Our stay was very enjoyable. The staff were friendly, the hotel lobby was clean and bright, the bed and pillows are just like home. I love Super 8 Hotels and you can't beat the price. If you are looking for luxury go somewhere else, but if you want a great place to sleep for the night for a good price this is perfect. There are also lots of restaurants close by. read more

This place is you get what your pay for. For $55 you can't expect much more. Our room probably hadn't been vacuumed because there were cereal crumbs on the floor. There were cigarette burns in the comforter. You probably want to keep your socks on. Some rooms look like they're being remodeled. That being said, the staff was very friendly. The kids really enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool. And really for the price, you can't expect anything amazing. It was a decent place to stay for the night. read more

Plesantly surprised when I walked into my room. I travel and stay in hotels 44 weeks every year and I stay at the budget hotels more than anything. This room was bigger than expected, nice size flat screen, comfy bed, clean room overall. Hotel staff was more than pleasant. Cost of the room was less than the advertised price online. The only negative was a non digital microwave. Had a mini fridge and a sink for washing and storing dishes. Very good value for the price. Will definitely stay again and highly recommended to those that are budget minded. read more
