First, Zani is the GOAT. She was so accommodating and made our stay 10/10. Everything has been fantastic, our room was clean, staff is very nice, great view, close to everything you need toiletries wise. Complimentary breakfast was open until 9:30am on weekdays and 10am on weekends. Also is in a great location!

I considered Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown West Loop solely because of its distance from me, and its accessibility via CTA Train Station-Clinton & Lake. For a night stay, Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown West Loop was pricey ($397.42), but it was also my lifesaver amidst an emergency because of there being a room available at the time. First off, the front desk is located on the 4th floor of the building which I thought was unique. My experience with the receptionist behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room had been booked, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information and giving me my room key. I was also given a complimentary bottle of Niagara purified drinking water which was totally needed at the time. And for your information check-in starts at 4:00 pm and check-out ends at noon. The room appeared very nice! I adored the furniture and the hung-up pictures of sights around Chicago. While browsing around the room, I adored the overview of outside from the window, and the sliding bathroom door which concealed the closet and the bathroom when either open or closed. Another thing I loved were the liquid products inside of the bathroom that added a unique touch being that they were attached to the wall. Seems like hotels are doing away with mini hygiene products like lotion, shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner. The room met my cleanliness standards! Even with everything on my mind at the time, I had no issues sleeping in the king-sized bed during my overnight stay. Not once did I wake up as my head was engulfed in-between the comfortable pillows. I really enjoyed the shower; its soothing water pressure made me feel very cleansed during my usage. Plus, it was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns and the addictive feeling of the pressure hitting the inside of my ear, hehe. Other things the room came with were a refrigerator, and electrical outlets with USB inserts which came in handy. Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown West Loop appeared to be in great condition and clean! If you plan to stay at Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown West Loop, the hotel does have a fitness center, and an indoor swimming pool. During my stay, a swim in the pool and a workout in its fitness center was the last thing on my mind at the time. For you all visiting the city of Chicago, there are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown West Loop. Some that I adore are within Fulton Market District itself, which I refer to as a foodie's paradise. The Chicago Riverwalk is a lovely place for a morning jog or walk, and if you are looking to explore the city or outer piece of the city, the Richard B. Ogilvie Transportation Center and Union Station, and CTA Train Station-Clinton & Lake are very accessible to-and-from the hotel. In spite of Hampton Inn Chicago Downtown West Loop being my lifesaver amidst an emergency, meeting my comfort needs, and all that the area offers; I am sorry to say that it is hard for me to consider it again because of the price I paid for a night stay, even as a Hilton Honors member! If you can tolerate its price, then I highly recommend considering this hotel. ~ Keep moving forward. ~ Thomas G

The hotel overall is very nice with good views. the beds are comfortable and the shower was super nice. everything was clean and the area felt very safe with lots of stuff nearby to eat/do. my only reason for 4 stars is that the parking in the parking garage was so tight and filled up almost fully. if you have a large sedan or truck you're not going to be fitting anywhere in that garage.

I've stayed at this Hampton 5-6 times over the last year and always enjoyed my stay. The people are very friendly and helpful when you check in. I've asked for rooms high up and away from the elevator. I've always been accommodated. It's a newer hotel that's quite clean and in good shape. The views are pretty good when you get your room up high. There's views of the city on one side, and of the United Center out the other. I think I prefer the city-side a little bit more. It's neat to see all the offices, apartments, and city life. They charge to park your car, but this hotel is in walking distance of my office, so I don't have to worry about that. It could be a concern if you're on a budget. There's a really great market across the street that sells all kinds of fresh, delicious food, has a HUGE selection of alcohol, and is really cool to walk around.

In town to celebrate the matrimony of some friends. The groom booked a block of rooms and offered the guest a very special rate. This hotel was perfect, as it was 10 minute Lyft to the ceremony at the Stan Mansion. The staff was prompt and very accommodating. My top 3 favorites from my stay would have to be the gorgeous view of downtown from the bed, the CLEANLINESS, and the complimentary cold pressed juices/ freshly made smoothies during breakfast.

Stayed here while on a work trip and had a pretty enjoyable stay. My room was clean and I didn't hear my neighbors or any hallway noise. ALSO, there's a happy hour from 5-7 featuring beer, wine and basically dinner. Although not a bar in the hotel, the happy hour more than made up for that. There are plenty of bars sand restaurant with in walking distance so have no fear when happy hour ends. The room I stayed in had a vanity in addition to the standard bathroom which was super convenient. Especially so two people can get ready comfortably at the same time. I also felt the lighting in the bathroom was better than most hotels making makeup application much easier. I'm extremely impressed with Hampton and definitely recommend!

The Hampton Inn by Hilton in Down Town Chicago was incredible. It was great being able to stay in a gorgeous high rise in down town with out bleeding every dollar out of our nightly budget. It's Summer time and the band was in town performing a festival, it was a hot day on stage and coming to our room the the AC cranked was appreciated. Went to the spacious gym this morning after having a solid cup of coffee and great breakfast down stairs. I think my favorite part of the down town Hampton was the view from the terrace on the fifth floor. The staff was wonderful, the bedroom views were amazing, the bed was perfect, the shower water was hot and powerful. Very thankful we stayed here.

Long story short... 3.5 stars. Better than average, great location, staff still learning, breakfast lacklustre, parking options painful, and cleanliness can be improved (especially for a new place). This is a brand new hotel in the West Loop area where it's been begging for a decent new place. Work sends me here a few times and most of the time I am in the central loop area with a decent walk. It's an interesting concept where it mix both the short term apartment style Homewood suites with the typical hotel Hampton Inn. Long story short... it's a 3.5 stars. Definitely better than the average (which is Crowne) but not quite 4 or 5 stars such as Hyatt Place. Check In and Lobby The lobby is on the 4th floor above the embedded parking. The elevators are all efficient and work fairly quickly. The lobby itself is interesting as it splits into its respective two hotels. It was nice, roomy, and with big windows looking down onto Jefferson. It's modern so it gives a nice warm feel. The check-in process itself isn't long or painful. I waited for 5+ minutes and my check-in wasn't bad. What wasn't great was sorting out the information for parking. We had a car and needed in and out... the front desk staff clearly didn't know what to tell us or the information to say that Valet is the only affordable option. Instead, he kept telling me to go down and use the key card. When I went back up, he was like ... oh try this. I went back down... still didnt work. It wasn't until the 3rd time I was there that it was clear that we needed valet and not the 'overnight' which does not allow any in and out. If that was sorted out, it would have been MUCH better experience. Though it was only 20 minutes of my time... it wasn't a fun 20 minutes. The other thing to note, I am a HHonours member (though not quite high as I mostly stay at Hyatt Platinum) and I noticed my normal check in wasn't as generous as others. Though i don't need gummy bears or water or other little offerings, seeing other people get it and you don't ... it doesn't make you feel as a welcomed guest. Room We got the King Studio Suite and they gave us near the top floor and it was a corner... that was a nice touch. We had a good view of the available skyline... though one area is just only a parking lot and highway. We were able to see my work tower though! The room size is good though not as generous as the Hyatt Place. The layout is quite good and felt quite modern. It has large big windows to let in a lot of light and take advantage of the nice skyline. The closet space is a bit small but more than suitable for a business traveler. The shelving was sufficient and did appreciate that it had a small fridge. It has a good sized bathroom which includes a standing shower (YES!), large vanity space (Another yes!), and good lightning. The towels were really soft ... that was an unusual plus for the hotel level. The only 2 drawbacks to the bathroom was that our bathroom standing shower had a leak. Every night we'd notice the tiles in front of the shower had a pool of water hours after I'd taken a shower. The other small item was that you can tell the hotel is new... there are still wood shavings in the various corners of the bathroom that were not completely cleaned. It was there when I arrived and left. The bed was quite comfortable (soft but mostly firm... perfect) and thankfully they included outlets and USB ports right at the night table for us millennials (ok, I admit being 100% plugged in). That is a small but required item these days for travel. The bedding was thick and ROUGH! Oh goodness. Perhaps with much washing, it'd get better. The in room WIFI was more than sufficient and loved it that was included. I loved how our top floor did help shelter the normal city sounds from street level. Our room was quiet and I didnt hear the room across from us. The cleaning room service didn't come at a crazy early hour (thank goodness) and it was polite. They did a good job of the bed. Overall, the room is quite good but the daily puddle in the bathroom, lack of thorough cleaning (wood shavings and excessive dust from the new build), and rougher sheets were enough to it keep it from a 4 star rating. Location & Amenities The parking price is $45 valet... ouch yes but not as bad as the $55 and up in the downtown loop. They really should offer an in and out overnight self park. Hyatt Regency does. As for the breakfast offering... I think tthey're still working out the kinks. It's your bare bones continental breakfast of cold cereal, oatmeal, muffin, waffles, two hot plates, fruit, yogurt, and juices. I ate the fruit but I had to tell the person to refill it twice in my stay. The garbage easily overflowed every day. Its ok and included in your rate. Overall, the location and value puts this at the top of the choices for a business stay for me but the amenities, service, and room quality at others makes their choice more compelling.

City view at night room 1715 corner room. Excellent views.

We were fortunate to get an upgraded room with two queen beds and an amazing view out the window of the city. The window was large and clean. The beds were comfy with ample pillows. Four pillows were provided. The hotel set up is a bit awkward. Room is best for one person as lacks storage for large luggage. Plus there is not a defined bathroom. The shower is within the bedroom. Fortunately the shower was frosted but you walk right into the bedroom so you must be comfortable with those you stay with. Plus the room does really have a deck and chair to work. The desk is a fold down from the wall. The chair for the deck is located on the wall and not really suitable for long term working on sitting as does not have a back to it. The best thing above this hotel are the staff. The front desk staff are super friendly and accommodating and aim to please. The bartender was super friendly and attentive as well. Lastly parking is not available right at the hotel. You have to walk two blocks. Plus parking cost 59 dollars and that's the discounted rate. Also not really a suitable place to drop luggage off. If you pull up to the front door, you are blocking traffic. Base on price of 400 dollars the night we stayed, I would say it's not worth the stay. Maybe it's worth 200 or less for Chicago.

I want to say that I have had my eye on this hotel for a while now after looking for Hilton hotel locations with a peloton bike, which this one has. Other than that, I loved that the location of this hotel sits in the heart of Chicago, surrounding a plethora of activities which made it the perfect choice for hotel stay to celebrate. Okay, it was an experience going up to the lobby area to check in at this hotel, a blonde moment as I am known for if you follow my reviews. The lobby is located on the 4th floor, so be sure to choose "L" for the lobby because there is no 4th floor button listed in the elevator. Me and two other hotel guests had an adventure going up to the lobby area after trying to figure out where the 4th floor button was. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and the receptionist giving me my room key. For your information, check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out ends at 12:00 PM! If you have the Hilton honors application, there is the opportunity to check in with the application, choosing your room, and receiving a digital key, which will allow you to go to your room contactless without seeing a receptionist upon your arrival. I have not used this method, but if you are interested in no contact whatsoever then you can use it with the Hilton Honors application. After locating and entering my room, I thought to myself this is fancy once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! There was a variation of vibrant colors in the room from its curtains to the headboard of the king-size bed, the carpet, and a gold chair that looked like something out of your grandmother's house. Out of all, I just could not take my eyes off the curtains which reminded me of cherry blossoms because of the colors. Inside the bathroom there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, safe, comforter, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, and USB and AC plugins attached to either the headboard of the bed, lamps, or the television cabinet, which added a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn Majestic, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. I must say that I was pleased to see several dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, a decent selection of workout machines, and two peloton fitness bikes which charmed me out of my panties once I spotted them. And oh, honey did I enjoy it on my birthday with the lovely Hannah Frankson as my peloton instructor, who put my legs through torture during her low impact workout. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served daily from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM. For you all visiting the city of Chicago, there are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hampton Inn Majestic. As a resident, a few that I adore are Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and the Art Institute of Chicago! Next door is the CIBC Theatre, which I noticed upon my initial arrival at the hotel. And if you are looking to explore the city or outer part of the city, the Chicago Union Station, and CTA Train Station are very accessible to-and-from. I would surely book Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in downtown Chicago. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

I felt like a VIP when I saw the words "Welcome Kaitlyn" on the TV. The pictures advertised upon booking are very accurate. The hotel is very close to train stations and numerous bus routes making it easy to get around, even without a car. I personally chose this hotel because it was part of the Amex Hotel Collection. I highly recommend this hotel whether you are an Amex cardholder or not. I would definitely stay here again.

Shout-out to Nia at the front desk, who was the first person I encountered when I walked in. Her energy was exactly what you want as a guest--warm, welcoming, and professional. I've spent most of my career in hospitality, so I naturally pay attention to the level of service being provided, and she absolutely set the tone for a great stay. Kudos to her and to the team that hired her. My room was beautiful. Nia also let me know I had been upgraded due to my Marriott loyalty, which was very much appreciated. I stayed in a king room, and the moment I walked in, I honestly considered extending my stay another night. The space had a sleek, modern look, everything was clean, and the lighting gave it a stylish city vibe. I ordered room service shortly after arriving and got a burger with fries (which I believe were Parmesan fries ). Everything was very good, and the room service attendant Lorena was just as kind and pleasant. Even though I was only there for one night, the experience was great from start to finish. The bed was comfortable, the linens were fresh, and the location is incredibly convenient--close to everything, which I always appreciate when traveling. I will definitely look to stay here again the next time I'm in Chicago and hope to have the same wonderful experience.

Clean lines, moody lighting, and that subtle blend of science-meets-art that somehow feels both curated and effortless. The art isn't decorative filler; it's intentional. The whole property has that boutique confidence: not loud, not trendy-for-the-sake-of-trendy...just precise. The aesthetic walks a tightrope between laboratory chic and soulful design, and it doesn't fall. The restaurant deserves its own paragraph. The olive cake alone should have a publicist. The food is thoughtful, layered, and memorable without being pretentious. It feels like someone actually tasted everything before approving the menu; which, these days, is not a given. Location? Ideal. Walkable, central, easy. The gym? Surprisingly solid. Not the sad afterthought treadmill situation. An actual usable space. But here's the thing. Beautiful rooms fade. Art becomes background. Even olive cake, tragically, gets finished. What stays is service. And Nia. Nia is the reason my long stay didn't feel like a stay. It felt like being known. Her smile isn't transactional. Her care isn't performative. The attention to detail is quiet and precise. She remembered my name everyday and I was there for a while. Makes you think, "Oh, someone is actually paying attention." There's a difference between service and hospitality. Nia understands the difference. That's what brings you back.

Although we grew up in the Chicago suburbs and know the city well, it was our first time staying at the Langham, and it left a strong impression. The most striking aspect was how spacious the room felt. We likely stayed in a Premier Room, which was quite large by city standards. The bed was massive, very comfortable, and just the right firmness. A detail that stands out is the space between the foot of the bed and the wall where the TV was mounted, which makes the room feel open and calm rather than cramped. The décor was elegant without feeling stuffy, highlighted by thoughtful touches like an espresso machine. The bathroom was another highlight: the frosted-glass window offered privacy while maintaining a sense of connection, and the rain shower had excellent water pressure and felt indulgent. The location is fantastic, convenient for work in the Loop, time in Grant Park, shopping on Michigan Avenue, or dining in River North or Fulton Market. During our trip, we ate nearby both nights, which made getting around easy and stress-free. The staff was warm and helpful throughout our stay, and breakfast at the hotel restaurant was memorable, even if the details are a bit hazy now. The lobby is beautiful, and several family members who stayed with us also commented on how much they enjoyed the hotel. At the time, pricing felt mid-range for a luxury hotel in Chicago, offering excellent value. It was summer, likely a less expensive time to visit, but even so, considering the room size, comfort, service, and location, it seemed like money well spent year-round. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We would happily return and are eager to explore other Langham properties worldwide.

Everything was great until I checked out and discovered that I had been charged $88 per night for parking. That was quite unexpected. I had been in Chicago just a few months earlier and had paid $55 at the L7 Hotel. So I was shocked that the JW could charge so much. How is their valet parking better than the valet parking at the L7? I realize now that had I been traveling alone, and not with my family, it would have been cheaper to fly to Chicago, than drive the 4.5 hours from Ohio. Apparently the hospitality industry hasn't caught on to the current affordability crisis, or at least Marriott hasn't.

I saw friends in the bar area, so I took root at the table nearby. Service was fine, and I enjoyed a few of the Amber bee on draft. The menu looked good, and I ended up with a steak fried rice bowl. The steak was gross. It didn't even look like steak that should be served. It was fatty and tasteless. I ate less than 1/2 the rice and 1/3 of the steak. I wasn't starving, so it wasn't a huge deal, but those who told me to avoid the bar area for food were right.

Both have incredible views but I would definitely recommend having at least one meal on the Miru patio if you are there during nice weather. -I was most surprised by their massive gym and has stunning views. It's also open 24 hours. They offered Pilates classes as well for an extra fee. -the hotel is brand new and all the finishes are so high end. The rooms are clean and quiet. The hallways are huge and felt like a maze to navigate but it also added to feeling of privacy. -there were so many high end details that made it extra special (the cozy Frette bath robes, welcome drinks, treat box in the room upon arrival, and the accent lighting in the room). -the location. It's just across the river from the heart of Michigan ave on the north end of a residential development. You don't feel like you are in the middle of the chaos of the city but the park, lake front and river are footsteps away. Negatives: -view was underwhelming ( fourth floor river view . Might choose the park view next time. I'd also recommend not facing the river as there was lots of honking/noise. -the room layout was awkward. They have this huge desk between the bed and tv. The full length mirror is a down a long hallway from bathroom/ where you would be getting dressed. -the room service comes on these huge heavy trays. The staff seemed like they were straining under the weight of it/ it was awkward. -I'd probably skip the spa/massage -$90/ day parking. Was able to do a spothero for about $40 next door.
