I think I have found my new regular spot when I travel to Monroe. I've been coming to Monroe for the past year and a half for work. Previously I've stayed at a different hotel but it has begun a slow decline in service so I started lol,ing elsewhere. Hampton to the rescue. This hotel is conveniently located right off of the highway. The staff were exceptionally nice, polite, and professional. My room was clean and well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was decent and the food remained well stocked at all times. There was fresh coffee available at all times which was nice in the afternoon. afternoon coffee is for winners. I will be back, likely very soon. If you're in Funroe, I recommend you check out this Hampton. read more

Would be lower than 1 if that was an option. I booked my reservation for March 19-6nights on the Hilton app with a valid working credit card a month in advance. I arrived just after 11p to check in. Levi was at the desk and told me the hotel was sold out. I showed him my email confirmation. He repeated they were sold out and canceled my reservation. I asked if the hotel would be putting me up someplace else. He told me it was up to me to figure it out and he didn't know the hotel policy for this and he left. It was 1130pm and they were sending a single female out in a strange city to fend for herself! Not okay. I was able to get some help from Ciera when I explained it to her. She was able to get me a room at the West Monroe location after midnight, but only for 1 night and at a higher rate. Ciera would have Denice (manager) call me in the morning. I went there and they said I had to check out in the morning. I checked out at 830am, Denice never called so I went back, she was not there and this hotel was still sold out. Left it up to me again. Luckily a room opened up at the West Monroe location and I was then able to stay there for the remaining 5 nights, again for more money than my original reservation. I have tried to reach Denice multiple times and to this day I have not heard a word from her. We are Hilton gold members. We travel a decent amount. This is not how things are handled when you oversell. read more

The WiFi was a MAJOR disappointment. I couldn't ever get connected and it forced you to join Hilton Honors if you wanted to (that's not free WiFi for a paying guest). I stayed one other time previously and I couldn't get the TV/ cable to work. Really seem to have tech issues at this place (kind of a big deal). read more

Very clean, friendly staff & very accommodating with toiletries & towels. The free breakfast area was clean, the food was hot & delicious! I would stay here again...we had a 5 star experience for a great value! read more

HUMAN TRAFFICKING ALERT: Edit: they reported this review because they know it's the truth. You can be upset all you'd like, but the truth won't change. Targeting a single woman was disgusting and jeopardizing my safety should've come with worse consequences. Im still considering filing a police report. It's all recorded. This review is nicer than the one I really want to give that would violate community standards. How dare you report the truth. You all tried to harm me and steal my things. You jeopardized my safety and knew you did: you even admitted it on camera. To report this review because you don't want the truth out is crazy. Had things gone as this janky hotel planned, I probably wouldn't be here. I was vigilant and checked out to go find a safer place to stay: and I said that on camera as well. You deserve NOTHING good. It also heavily documented on multiple email threads with the "manager" and corporate. If what I said wasn't true I wouldn't have gotten my points back or supposedly sent a check for the items they took/threw away. Look at the other 1 star reviews. They're telling you the truth. Digital key didn't work and felt unsafe. They sent a male employee to my room to open my door who was asking if I was by myself and had people coming. I think they saw I was by myself and had an out of town license: they tried to pretend another guest had my exact name, guest and address. If you seem to be by yourself they're going to try to violate you like they did me and give you hell after. When all of these issues were brought up they're all on camera and they admit to so much, but when you call to get your points back or money for your items they threw away they weren't supposed to, they'll pretend they don't remember saying what they said. I honestly hope everyone involved has the worst life has to offer coming to them because they're all pure devils who try to traffick women. Didn't get water or snack Physical key didn't work after first use and I had to get 2-3 new keys every day. Have to stop by the desk every time I need to go to my room which is crazy. They didn't ask for ID when I needed a the keys to my room. If anyone asked for my room number which they kept saying loudly anybody could get access. Told me a random male staffer would walk me to my room instead of giving me a physical key. He asked if I was alone or had more people coming. They didn't ask if I was comfortable with this or just give me a physical key like normal They're rude guests were loud and disruptive and trying to skip Lines and they let them The phone doesn't work, even the representative couldn't get in contact with them They kept saying the storm caused the power outage but there was no outrage and the other hotels worked fine Key is one use I've had to come 2-3 times a day to be let in my room The key machine stopped working at 845 for at least 30 mins Lobby halls and elevators drenched The general manager was called and nothing happened Sunday night Someone entered my room without my permission. I had a do not disturb sign on the door with the blue side facing when I left and when I came back orange showing. I blocked the door with 2 heavy objects and when I came back they were pushed all the way back to the closers and the closet door was covering the bathroom door I've never been this inconvenienced or felt this unsafe before Only one elevator worked They threw away all my food and drinks and toiletries totaling $230 and then they said they would only pay for $200. And I still haven't gotten all of my points or the check like they promised over a month ago. This place is full of liars and unsafe people. I've asked for the bare minimum and they still couldn't do that when THEY did this to me Customer service also hires anybody off the streets and they're all rude and nasty. My number was in the check out receipt so I know they had it and didn't at all try to call it She was going to steal my iPad General manager Denice emanuel read more

Hampton Inn & Suites Monroe - an email from the manager knowing they did wrong with the promise to return my points and reimburse me for the things they took. - Hotels Near Me - Monroe, Louisiana

This is my second stay here. I travel for work and always value Hilton properties..This Hampton Inn is a little difficult to get too but it is nicely placed next to Sam's Club if you have any trouble locating the space. The lobby and rooms are clean. The customer service is good and the gym is really nice. Rooms: Clean, coffee and tea in room, microwave and mini fridge. The TVs are not smart TVs so if you enjoy streaming movies while traveling that is not an option. Breakfast: Pastries, Waffles, pre-made omelette wrap, fruit, oatmeal and cereal. Proximity: Easy access to freeway, mall and walking distance to Sam's Club. You can also easily uber or use doordash for close food options. Pool: Indoor and small..only goes to 5ft. Gym: Nice, new equipment that works. :) read more

Hampton Inn & Suites Monroe - Double Bed Suite - Hotels Near Me - Monroe, Louisiana

Clean , quire , and easy going . This was a clean property. The front deSk person was clean and friendly. Checking in was fast and simple .

The staff were wonderful. The bed linens weren't changed. I had to request they be changed and the bathroom needs to be upgraded. It is very rusty and dated. read more

Overall this was a good hotel. When we got there the room is sealed to say it was clean, but I realized they didn't vacuum at all crumbs and paper everywhere, we had two queens 1 bed had hair on it and the other one was good. I bring Clorox wipes everywhere we go good thing I did the toilet seat wasn't wiped it had black stuff stuck to it so I had to clean it myself, but over all the hotel was nice and beds was very comfy. read more

Another great stay!!! This place is very clean and the breakfast service is amazing (waffles, bacon, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, grits, oatmeal, etc.). Thank you read more

We had a comfortable stay here and found the rooms to be nicely renovated. We loved the barn sliding doors used for the bathroom. The customer service here was good even though it was not enthusiastically friendly. When we called to report issues with our fan, the lady at the front desk (not sure what her name was since she did not wear a name tag) did some research to help us figure it out. When we tried what was suggested, it still did not turn the fan off. The lady offered for us to switch rooms but we had unpacked all our items and didnt want to have to repack and unpack again. Thankfully I had brought some cloths pins to clip the curtains together to block all the air coming out of the fan. The rooms come with a refrigerator (but no ice section) and microwave. To turn the refrigerator colder, you have to change the dial on the very back of the refrigerator by taking the entire refrigerator out. Thankfully a Hampton Inn employee helped us with this but we thought it was strange the refrigerator was built with the temperature gage in the back. The door to our room was extremely hard to open. Even the employee that helped us with our refrigerator was surprised at how difficult it was to open the door. He said the door was probably broken. Breakfast is free and they offer hot food such as bacon, eggs, sausage patties, waffles, etc. They also have juice and coffee. The location is very close to the mall and within 10 minutes to the Duck Dynasty store and diner. Parking is free in their lot. I highly recommend drinking bottled water and not out of the faucet. The water in the toilet and shower were brownish. The water from the sink faucet was lighter and clear in color. I'm not sure where the source of their water comes from. Housekeeping was not friendly at all. I said good morning to one of the ladies and got a response of "uh huh". Thankfully we stayed here for two nights and didnt need housekeeping services. read more

Very nice and clean hotel. Rooms are said to be cleaned and Lysol used on everything. Remote for tv was in plastic bag and room door was sealed upon entry that it had been sanitized. Beds and lines all crisp and clean. Room was a little pricy even when asked for senior rate. I'd recommend booking on one of the hotel sites - about $40-$50 cheaper. Otherwise I'd highly recommend. Restful night! read more

Been to six hamptons in past six nights. This ranks second from bottom. It's ok no more than that. Even though signs on front and back doors clearly state masks are required none of the desk staff i saw either day had them on. Room wasn't ready when we arrived after five even though they let us check into it on the app three hours earlier. Second floor ice machine didn't work. They spray beds with something to make them seem freshly washed so if smells bother you that might be a problem. Floors very sticky, maybe bc of disinfectant??? I don't know. Thermostat didn't work. It was 91 degrees out and we literally had to shut off the air conditioner it was so cold! But fan continued to blow cold air. No way to turn that off. I guess better than sweltering. read more

When I checked into my room in Monroe, La (203) . The commode had been used , not flushed and toliet tissue had been used and put into bath tub. The only reason we did not leave, there were not any other rooms open. I always carry cleaner in my auto , cleaned the tub. The room was dirty. Pills were on the floor scattered under the couch. My husband wanted me to call the law enforcement. I put on gloves and flushed the down the toilet. I went to desk, no one was there. Tired and was not going to just stand there. My bill was almost 300.00 , this was ridiculous. Hampton Inn had always been a favorite for us, but this changed my mind!!!!! read more

We looked online for hotels in Monroe LA and saw this Hampton Inn listed at $117. My husband walked into the lobby, went to the front desk, and asked the desk person what the best rate was on a king room. He said $174. My husband politely said, "OK. No, thank you." As he turned to leave the housekeeper who was behind the front desk snarkily said, "And don't come back!" Oh, don't worry, Ms. Thang, we won't! But we WILL be reporting you to Corporate. How 'bou dat? read more

Yeah it's a nope. Had to go to three different rooms because the first room had someone in it. Second room that was said to have been cleaned had bodily fluid stains on both beds. There's a block party outside and the elevator and near the doorways reek of marijuana. If I could check out now with a full refund I would. I do not recommend this Hilton to anyone. read more

Employees don't wear masks inside the elevator with you , managed very poorly with terrible staff

Very nice place. Nice staff. The hotel is clean. And not loud. They have a very nice breakfast in the mornings. Also coffee and hot water available in the lobby. read more

Loved the staff clean nice family oriented place almost deserves a five star. This is a new hotel that's in competition with a lot of hotels nearby that are also new. Hence it's very cost efficient. What makes this different though is the new energy efficient Atmosphere that makes it Feel very young. I would definitely stay there again if we were passing through this area. read more

Like others have said, this is a brand new hotel. The decor is very modern and sleek, and the king suite I stayed in was very spacious. The fitness center and adjacent indoor pool are very large. This hotel is located by the mall with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Breakfast is standard Hampton with a large decorative seating area. Overall, I would stay at this hotel the next time I am in the area. read more

Without question the worst customer service experience of my life. I have been a loyal Hilton Diamond member for decades. After checking into my room online at 11:30 pm because of a late arrival due to bad weather and 11 hours of driving, this hotel cancelled my room at 12:05 am. I arrived at 2 am to be told that although the room I was checked into was still available, the employee at the front desk had closed the previous nights business early and he was unable to rebook my room because it was a new day and the hotel was full for that day. I told him I only needed the room until my original checkout time of 10 am, for 8 hours. He called his manager, Denise, they were on the phone for almost an hour. Unwilling to take my credit card, drivers license or whatever else they possibly could have needed to work this out in the morning. I left an unoccupied room waiting for me at 3 am, drove 45 minutes down the road in a U-Haul pulling a trailer in a rainstorm to check into a Marriott who welcomed me with open arms. This was not only bad customer service, but could have been much worse. I was so tired that I could barely stay awake to make it to the Marriott. Avoid this property! To add insult, I have now been disconnected 4 times with the Hilton Diamond Desk trying to resolve this problem. No one returned my call. After 30 years with Hilton, Marriott her I come! Avoid Hilton like the plague. Their customer service has dramatically declined. They are definitely not a "hospitality" company anymore. read more

Totally enjoyable evening! After being on the road all day, this was a wonderful oasis!! New, clean, fresh!!! The staff was very friendly, the bed was comfy, found a lovely nearby restaurant, and was able to start the next. day with a good breakfast, coffee to go, and on the road again. It was a bit expensive, but worth it! read more

We stopped in for a night with our four year old on the way from Texas to Florida. Bridget checked us in and had our keys and room ready the minute we got there. She was welcoming and gave great customer service. The room was spacious, pool was clean with fresh towels and Trenel made an awesome breakfast spread this morning. Fresh waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit and coffee that was tasty. When you take pride in your work, it shows. This team and hotel is great! read more

Excellent place to stay. Rooms are big with plenty of work space. Decor is attractive too. Will def come back.

Stayed here when our rental house nearly caught on fire and had to have wiring re-done. It was nice. We were placed in a room above the carport, though, so the view was of an air conditioning unit. But the staff was friendly enough/didn't bother us, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. read more

This hotel is brand new. The Monroe area is ranked as an unsafe city, but we had no problems at this location. Clean. Really nice. Friendly staff. large room. Nice seating area in room. I would stay here again. Enjoyed our stay.

Stayed with these guys this last weekend for a wedding. One of the best service and cleanest ones I have experienced. The customer service was great!! The woman that was serving breakfast was passing out bath toys to the little children and asking people about their plans there like she knew them by first name and their agenda while they were in town. The rooms were some of the cleanest and we stayed in a two bedroom suite for cheaper than I have stayed at other one room motels. Hats off to the front desk staff and all the way down to the maids as everyone was helpful and made my stay the best in 30 years of traveling regularly. Keep up the great works guys! read more

The hotel is very new and very nice. It had the brightest halls I have ever seen in a hotel and the room lighting was good also. The sliding door combo for the closet and bathroom is a bit awkward and might be a problem if you had kids/ others in the room. Also was not fond of the bedspread/ cover combo. Breakfast was typical hotel fare. The entrance is a little difficult to navigate the first time and Google maps sends you the wrong way on the frontage road. Staff was very nice. read more

Beautiful, clean hotel, but with poor customer service. Was up all night with people above me stomping around. I was told by front desk to come down the next morning and my room would be comped. The next morning front desk told me there were no notes and that they weren't sure what they could do for me, but promised they would call me back. They never did. A week later I called them, and was told a refund had to go through general manager but they would call me back. That was a few days ago and still haven't heard from them. They don't honor the Hilton 100% satisfaction guarantee. read more
