They were extremely unprofessional, not careful to follow our clear instructions (meaning that most things had to be redone, putting us behind schedule with our clients) and did not have any sense of customer service. They went through two administrators in the brief time I worked with them, both of whom were very polite and efficient but unfortunately they don't seem to be able to keep that position filled. Rose Anne was always shrill with me and my office and when her lack of knowledge of upholstery and drapery terminology frequently resulted in a misunderstanding she became immediately and unnecessarily defensive, actually shrieking on the telephone on more than five occasions. Ultimately we were forced to collect at our own expense the furniture we had there for upholstery and take our business elsewhere. When calling around to other local businesses I was told that Rose Anne was notoriously shrill and impossible and they often got Hampton Interiors' former clients for that reason alone.

A salesman came over who didn't do the actual work and gave me a very hefty quote. A friend recommended Rainbow as he used them and said they did a very good job at a fair price. I called but was skeptical. The owner Mike personally showed up to my house and diagnosed the problem, explained what needed to be done and showed me photos of jobs he did with the same problem. He then quoted me half of what the first company did and did the job a couple of weeks later. Mike showed up with his workers the day of the job and explained everything to me as they did the job. They seemed very knowledgeable and obviously have been doing this work for many years. The job was very clean, no corners were cut, and they seemed to enjoy the back breaking work. I hope I never need them again but if I do I would not hesitate to call or recommend them. What was refreshing also was that Mike seemed like a very honest person and his pricing was very good while at the same time not cutting any corners.

Needless to say my wife was not particularly understanding of the entire occurrence. I fortunately found Ed from Professional Carpet Systems and he masterfully worked his MAGIC on the carpet. He explained that he had more than 30 years experience, and had worked in the carpet mills down south learning about carpet and carpet dyes. Ed's a good guy. He didn't try to oversell me and told me that while the stains would be better, they might not be perfect. Well, he blended in the stains to a point that they're no longer visible to myself or my wife unless we're really looking for them. Ed saved us the expense of a having to buy a new room of expensive carpet. I don't normally write reviews, but I think this positive experience deserves one.

I hired Village Locksmith to install a digital lock, and they sent a man named Dennis -- who turned out to be completely incompetent, disrespectful, and aggressive. He botched the installation by programming the lock incorrectly -- it never worked correctly from the start. When I called to get it fixed -- which is the bare minimum anyone would expect after paying for a job -- he blew up on me, yelling over the phone and threatening to charge me AGAIN just to come back. This was his mistake, yet he acted like I was inconveniencing him by asking him to do the job right. Dennis clearly has no idea what he's doing and absolutely no grasp of basic customer service. His behavior was hostile and unprofessional -- I wouldn't trust this man to install a doorknob, let alone a security lock. Village Locksmith should be ashamed to send someone like this into people's homes. I felt disrespected, dismissed, and downright scammed. If you value your safety, your sanity, and your money, stay far away from this company -- and Dennis in particular.

My husband planned a bonfire on the beach for my birthday and we were so looking forward to it. We've worked with party planners in the past and I thought Laura was one who really cared about her customer too. I was wrong. The forecast showed rain on the day of our bonfire and Laura's behavior and attitude toward us was unlike anything I've ever experienced. We spent thousands of dollars on this event and it was hurtful to receive callous responses from someone we trusted with our event. First, I sent Laura a message days before asking if we could speak about the weather and her response was "sure but it says no rain, only in the morning." Then, Laura went on to say on the phone that we were the only clients she has ever worked with that didn't have a home big enough to just move it inside (which is insulting and elitist). On the day of the bonfire, I didn't hear a peep from her. Basically just "yes or no?". She also said that even if it didn't rain she wouldn't be able to set it up nicely as planned because the sand was wet. (Yet she'd written me a text saying "it's only going to rain in the morning so what's the issue?" Bizarre.) I truly felt that Laura didn't care at all about our event happening because she was already paid. It was hurtful. Imagine spending considerable money on a celebration and not even getting a message saying "I'm so sorry this didn't work out". Or "Hey, can I at least drop off some of the stuff you paid for it?" Nothing. Our experience with Coastal Concierge left such a bad taste in our mouths on what was supposed to be a happy and joyous celebration. We made a mistake hiring Laura. I would not recommend working with her.
