Wall Automotive is NOT that kind of place. The owner Bryan, as well as the men who work there, are consummate professionals and deeply respectful. It feels more like I am dropping off my car at my Uncle's house than a business. They are always friendly, up front with estimates and assessments, and are incredibly transparent about what needs to be done and why. I would recommend this automotive shop to ANYONE. Beware, parts changers not mechanics…read more I brought my car in because it had a loud clunking noise that was heavy enough to feel through the floor. I didn't have time to deal with it so I took it in. They said I needed struts (which I agree were bad) and a CV axle, which took a week and cost me almost $2,000. They called me to say it was done and was all good except for a small squeak in the brakes. I picked it up after hours and wasn't even out of the parking lot and the clunking was still there over every tiny bump in the parking lot, there was no improvement whatsoever. And the mileage was the same as when I dropped it off, so they never even drove the car. I took it home and got under it the next day and found the problem in under 5 minutes and I'm not even a mechanic. The entire subframe was loose and clunking up and down when I pushed with my hand. A quick search on Google and I learned the bushings were broken. I replaced the bushings and now the car is like new again. I can't see how they could have tried very hard if at all to troubleshoot my problem. They just saw some worn parts and decided to charge me to replace them. And they were working all around that loose subframe the whole time and never once noticed it was loose. And they never drove the car to check if the problem was solved. This is complete incompetence. When I called the next morning they acted surprised and said I could bring the car back. I would never bring a car back to them. I'd probably end up buying more parts and still not have it fixed.

We have agreed to have an independent shop evaluate the external damage and will continue the discussion thereafter. Also, they have agreed to address any interior damage. Was having a parasitic drain on the battery. Ended upo having to haver the aftermarket remote starter removed and a new dash wiring harness. Car was in shop for almost 3 weeks. Came out and hopefully the electrical is fixed (need to let car sit for a while to know). Bad news is there is considerable damage to the car. There is a large dent in the rear driver's door plus scratches on the inside driver door jam, shift knob, emergency brake lever & glove box. The car did not go in damaged as they suggest. Was waiting for them to do the right thing before posting but as expected they denied everything. They said they would look at the interior damage and address it as a courtesy. When asked to check their cameras they said their cameras only go back 2 weeks. Interesting that they kept the car for just over that???

My car was fine, I have my own mechanic but needed it changed quickly before a road trip. I get my car back, and it sounded like a motorcycle. I have a 1 year old with me and needed to get him home. I call them as soon as I get home and they insist on towing my car back to the shop. They call me at 10am and told me my exhaust fell off. It would be almost $1000 to fix it. The woman on the phone, Debbie tells me "honey, these things just happen" My exhaust and muffler were totally fine, my brother is a mechanic and we had it up on the lift the month prior to fix both swing arms and my rear hubs. Also, the rear exhaust is nowhere near the oil pan so how it just "fell off" is absurd. We threw it up in the lift, my brother said it was a couple bolts and a weld and the exhaust was good as gold. The sound I was hearing was because they loosened my bolts on my engine air filter. My air filter was brand new. No reason to go in there. Was it because I had heels on? How stupid do they think people are? Not cool at all. Stay away from this place.

We got nervous and pulled into the nearest mechanic shop Rev it up at 92 Main St, Sparta, NJ 07871 and we're helped by the kind mechanic but we are from NY and couldn't leave our car here he told us what he believed the problem was and told us it could be a couple of days he poured cooling fluid in our car since it over heated but the radiator was cracked so it couldn't hold the fluid. He was also kind enough to let us wait for the towing company and let us use the bathroom. They were so kind then you so much.
