First off, I feel like the walking trails here are nice. More markers would be cool, but I like the ease of the trails. They have a dog park too which is great. I can't wait to come back with my pup before the snow and have her run around too. Everything is very open which makes it even more awe-inspiring and beautiful on a summer day. I also love all of the old architecture here too with the old stables, main house, etc. It really feels like a different place when you step foot on property. LIke being transported through time almost. The music festival was awesome here. I think the lay of the land, the older buildings, and the beauty of the park really amplify the event and make it feel even better than other possible locations in the area. I will definitely be back to visit the park, and back for the music festival.

The rocks in some area in the creek are tough so water shoes or crocs are recommended. I had originally planned on just doing a quick lunch walk to do some bird watching but when I got there I quickly realized I'd be there longer than expected because there were so many rarer birds I had never seen and the place was so beautiful! The trail along the gorge rim was really gorgeous. Pun intended Some of the other trails inside of the woods were pretty muddy and a bit hard to follow because of the leaves, but using the alltrails app helped a lot. All of the trials were well marked too, which I really appreciated. It does seem like this place needs a bit more upkeep, but for the most part it's a really great park to walk at and it's dog friendly. All of the trails are pretty moderate and not too strenuous.

It was a moderately challenging (meaning some extended periods of walking uphill) and about a 3-1/2 to 4 mile hike. The day we went it was not buggy but we did encounter some muddy areas.
