Members are issued a fob to use to enter the facility. The front desk person almost always greets us. There are plenty of machines, and many treadmills and stationary bikes - seldom out of order. Spray containers of disinfectant and loads of white wash clothes abound for members to wipe down equipment. I feel obliged to note that I was duly unimpressed by the group fitness class I attended. On my first visit, the instructor was curt and unwelcoming, barking at me that I wouldn't like the class, in front of the class. She never met me. Knew nothing about my abilities nor interest. The classmates were kind and told me I'd get "used to her". Ah. No. No. No; wrong on so many levels. Especially when a newbie comes to class, who might be self conscious or introverted or scared to attend an exercise class. People will never forget how you made them feel. (Said Maya Angelou) It is a joy to see people of all ages and abilities using the machines. I've seen elders on the bikes and tweens on the treadmills. Wee ones stroll by from the daycare area to play in their own area apart from the adults. There are large tvs and music is also piped in. It feels like a completely non-judgmental environment, and aside from the group class encounter, it's my kind of place.

Overall, my family has been pretty happy with the Y. The workout facilities, locker rooms and…read morebathrooms are much cleaner than what I've experienced at places like LA fitness. I love that they have lockers with locks in the main workout area (you do need to bring your own lock for the locker room), although currently many of the lockers are broken so I hope they repair them soon. I've taken quite a few good classes here although the classes do tend to get crowded so you really have to show up early to make sure you have a spot. We also enjoy swimming both in the lap pool and with our son in the zero depth pool. The one frustration I have had is with the adventure room. This is a great indoor playground which my toddler son loves. However, unlike the rest of the facilities, it is covered in dust. I worry that if they aren't maintaining this area, not only is it covered in germs from the children, but they may not be regularly inspecting the safety of the structure. Overall, it seems like a safe playspace but anytime you have kids climbing at such high heights, a piece of broken equipment could become a serious danger. I always watch my son closely and check out the equipment myself while he's playing. The other problem with this area is that although there is an app with schedules, it is frequently incorrect when it comes to the adventure room. The open hours for children under five are very limited and as you can imagine, it is very difficult to get a toddler out of the house, bring him to his favorite place only to have to tell him that it is unexpectedly closed. I have brought up this issue to the staff multiple times, but it still has not been addressed. In general, I would say the Y is worth it, especially if you were planning on utilizing all of the facilities

So, we signed our daughter up for a free trial at Goldfish Swim a couple months ago (wish I could remember the young man's name who taught the class!) and were immediately impressed! My daughter has been scared of water ever since my reaction to the bathtub incident, but her teacher Ms. Annabelle has been so incredibly patient, accommodating and consistent during her weekly sessions. Our daughter gains more and more confidence and skills each week and absolutely loves her teacher! Our daughter also has a speech/language delay and can shut down when not understood but Ms. Annabelle has worked through each breakdown to show her support and understanding which we appreciate so so much! Our daughter is really coming out of her shell and gaining so many language and social skills in addition to swim and safety skills- we are so grateful! Weekends at Goldfish are definitely crowded and hectic and I do wish sessions were an hour long rather than half hour but the progress we've seen in such a short amount of time has shown us how truly valuable these lessons are! Other parents have noted that week days are much calmer but it just doesn't fit well into our schedule. We like that Goldfish offers makeup sessions and recently did back to back sessions. The second/ make-up session was with Ms. Eva and she did such a wonderful job making our daughter feel safe and comfortable, it was such a great experience! Every teacher and employee we've interacted with has been wonderful. We drive almost 40 minutes each way for lessons and it has been worth every mile and every penny! Our nephew is in swim classes at a Goldfish school on Long Island and his parents highly recommended the program when they knew we were looking for a place to join. So happy we gave Goldfish a try, we look forward to every session and the growth we see weekly! The skills our daughter is building are so worth it and we can't recommend Goldfish Swim enough!

They did not provide any of the "perks" that were advertised- no lifeguard, no activity staff, no Birthday invitations, no tshirt. The two staff that were present sat at the front desk on their phones. This was at the Williamsville New York location. I called directly following her party and all that could be said was "I'll pass this to my supervisor." As we both of my kids did lessons there for the good part of the school year, I asked that I be removed from the calling list as I was getting repeated calls to sign back up. Even a year later, I'm still getting calls to have another party and sign my kids up for lessons. I just received a phone call for a birthday party and I kindly asked, again, to be removed from their calling list. I was told the system was down and I couldn't be removed at this time but they would note to remove me. So you can look up my daughter to know that her birthday is in Sept and look my phone number up to call, yet you can't remove me from your system?? My husband and I have spend thousands of dollars on swim lessons for the duration of a school year. I would not recommend Foldfish in any capacity.

Over the past 4-5 months, I've called at least four times requesting service for a side panel that bows out, exposing the inner workings & wiring of the hot tub to the elements. Rain/snow can get inside the inner workings, esposed wires -not to mention this makes the hot tub energy inefficient. Despite my repeated calls, no one has ever fully followed up or scheduled the actual repair. I was told numerous times "it would be taken care of, I would be put at the top of the list", etc ...with no actual follow up. At one point the service person apologized and said there was a staffing problem and to be patient. I said I understood and patiently waited for that follow up -numerous times. Yesterday (10/21/25) late morning I called and politely gave my information and explained my issue once again and was told unfortunately the service person was busy so they took my information and I was told they would get back to me. No surprise, they didn't get back to me. My patience has ran out. Today, I called the Depew location to express my frustration about the lack of continued response, and the young man who answered the phone (I think his name might be Ryan?) was very dismissive and in the end impatient with me. Admittedly I was very aggravated over the phone and even verbalized to him "to be patient with me" as I expressed my history and ultimately frustration with Majestic's lack of follow up especially with what seemed to be an easy repair. He told me "there was a process I needed to follow" in regard to taking my information & servicing repairs for which I immediately stated "The process is broken!" at which point he literally hung up on me! I was/am flabbergasted. Full disclosure: I was angry over the phone. Was my frustration justifiable -to me yes it was. Do I deserve to be hung up on? Obviously Ryan/Majestic feels this was the best solution for their customer who was justifiably upset with their lack of customer service -even after stating to be patient with me knowing I was angry over the phone. I rarely write reviews, but after being treated this way, I felt I had no choice but to write this. It's hard not to feel Majestic is there for the sale ($10,000), service and support becomes optional from their end after the sale is complete. Not to mention our 1 year warranty is expiring which is now a huge concern for me. I would gladly speak with someone who's willing to listen and actually address this issue - be patient that I am justifiably irritated/angry without being hung up on. In the end, I am just trying to get the product I purchased properly serviced within the warranty time frame. A side panel shouldn't be bowing out after 8 months and it's been getting worse over time. I was patient the first several times I called, spoke with service people and went through "the process". This last call I wasn't patient and hopefully it's understandable how/why we've gotten to the point of writing an honest review. Horrible customer service.

A nice wooden bridge, Ellicott creek, a ton of planted trees , the American flag, and several wooden benches fill up this park, which reaches from North Forest to the UB campus. The best part of this walk, though, was when it started raining and we were heading back....... amazingly, a mama and baby deer came really close to the trail, eating grass and looking up at us every once in a while. That made for a great photo opportunity! I'll be back to take a ride on my bike sometime.... P.S. be cautious of your GPS , the address lead me to the golf course, not the park. The parking lot is on North Forest Ave just a bit past Maple .
