Took my grandsons, ages 6 and 8, here for the first time. The playground is exceptionally large, especially considering that it is within the Village of Blasdell which is very small. Kids of all ages we're here when we arrived, while we were here and when we left. The equipment is in exceptional shape and kept clean. The 8 year old found many things to do and was exhausted when we left. The 6 year old is Autistic so the experience was different for him. He kept himself amused with the slides, tunnels and swings but found himself overwhelmed when more children arrived and it began to get noisy.
Restrooms are open, fully operational and kept very clean. There is a pavilion with picnic tables for parents to use while waiting and for picnics is wanted. The grounds are immaculate as are the baseball diamonds and the basketball/tennis courts. Summer concerts are held here as well.
In conclusion, this playground is an example of "how it should be done" and is more than worth a visit. read more
