Love this park so much. Today I took my son to see the ducks...they ran away lol but we had a good time.

Have you just been released from the police station and still don't want to go home to your loved ones to walk the walk of shame? How about walking the nature path next door instead? There is no map at this entrance, but there are a few directional signs to point out the fishing area and nature trails. Sure, you can stroll the paved paths and still catch a glimpse of the wildlife (deer, and plenty of geese, as a portion does wrap around the lake) but skip sitting on the benches and take an adventure through the woods. Wear your worst shoes, unless you can stand a bit of mud and puddle, and try not to trip over the branches and scattered leaves. There's a few knobby baby trees growing too, and cicadas making sure you won't forget their presence with their constant singing. We did come across a mildly burnt fort in the wild, and broken glass and trash inside. Don't be a dillweed and leave your trash like some scumbag, making me regret sharing the deets on my favorite hiking spot. If you wander long enough, you'll be delighted to find a playground of swings and climbing walls and slides. The ground is coated with recycled tire rubber so you don't run the risk of wood chips to the bottom (which trust me, from experience is not a place you want to get splinters). There's also a tennis court, which is sadly locked, but it is paired with a basketball half court that is free for use. They've painted over most of the graffiti, but that's not to say this place is not a work of art for nature lovers alike.

Ellicott Creek runs through this park, which has some nicely groomed running trails along the way.

After having some ice cream, we went for a quick walk throughout the park. This park really is great. It is a little small but that also makes it so nice. No need for maps or worries of getting lost, it's perfect for a nice walk. My son loves looking for all the wildlife especially if there are any ducks or fish. Luckily for him, there are plenty of ducks around here. Another nice thing about this park is that it is very scenic for photography. There were a few different groups there doing what looked like senior pictures or photos before an event. Whether you're looking for a nice walk, scenic backdrop or just a quiet place to sit on a bench and think, this park has it all.

I am amazed at how restful and beautifully maintained it is. The flowers were welcoming, the small waterfall enchanting, the trails curious and winding, and the wildlife amusing. I felt more relaxed and grounded after my visit than I have in a long time. The only negative was that someone was smoking weed on a park bench and the odor instantly turned me off. I'm sure smoking is not allowed, but I was chagrined that in this little section of The Garden of Eden someone would assume to make the place smell like a stoner's living room.

Interesting facts learned on fireflies: they like leafy dark areas, eat slugs, and snails and really lite up the park. This is such a beautiful park to enjoy a nice walk, jog, a bike ride or to go fishing (no spots to play sports of any kind here). There are a couple small grassy areas you can sit with a blanket and have a small picnic, eat lunch or bring your own lawn chair and enjoy a book. Plenty of benches to sit down, relax and enjoy the view of the water. In addition, the trees provide lots of shaded areas to appreciate as you walk through the paved trail on a hot summer day. Lastly, there are a lot of droppings from the geese (the children were stressing about avoiding it). I didn't see a playground during my walk but there is a very nice playground available for the children in front of the library that is located adjacent to the park entrance - you'll see it. I used my GPS to get here and parked at the courthouse parking lot, there was a path to where the trail starts - in my photos. Bring bug spray and sunblock in the summer and enjoy a stroll after a good meal. Rated this park four stars because I would probably only come back to take a walk if I'm already in the area but there's nothing here you absolutely have to see if you were visiting Buffalo. However, the park is beautiful and serene. If there was more to do or picnic tables for families to sit and eat, I would give it five stars.

The beach is still inaccessible there are giant cement blocks so it's not a straight shot down for a wheelchair and the grass around them is very uneven and hilly like ground for a wheelchair to go over and I got stuck in the rocks and had to ask people to help push me out, then on the way back to the walk way (video I posted) my wheelchair was going to flip. There are small simple things that they could have been done, I've been to other beach's that have strips over the sand/ rocks that wheelchairs can ride over. The building looks nice they added a small golf course. To me it seems like all they did was build the restaurant and build up the rock walls especially around the beach.
