This is a BIG park. There's four waterfalls, but I only found one. Not a lot of water the day I went, anyway. There's ruins to explore, several different playgrounds, and lots of shelters to rent. I even found a small stage. Worth a visit if you're in the area. read more

This park is beautiful. It's in South Wales, near East Aurora. I was here two days ago for a race. It's got many winding tough trails and many not-so-tough areas, where you can walk or run with ease. I agree with the Yelper who said it's less busy than Chestnut Ridge. That's a big high point for me. I'll definitely be back. read more

This is a very well groomed well-managed park. There are tons of areas for private yet outdoor picnic and seating and barbecue type places. You probably have to reserve them, but I didn't check. There are trails for walking, both on the road and off the road. There's signage all around so you know where you are. A nice place for an afternoon hike or an afternoon walk, and there are tons of people walking their dogs here. read more

The first hole is a freaking job!! But by far one of the more scenic and challenging courses out there. Throwing into the woods -hoping to see where it went. Back nine opens up a bit but still really long holes. Watch the ravine ! Be sure to take a moment to catch some of the surroundings. read more

New York is so blessed! We are surrounded by beauty and this park while not huge is such an asset to the community! A little gem at the end of a not-too-long drive into the country. Pack a picnic, put on comfie walking shoes and spend the day in the sun or shade. One specific shelter would make a beautiful place for an outdoor wedding! It made me think "chapel in the woods!" ‍ It was HOT HOT HOT the day we drove through the park, but it felt 20° cooler in the lush old growth woods. Beautiful pkace to walk together! read more

We pulled into Emery Park and drove through the area with all of the pavilions, looking for the main parking lot. There are quite a few pavilions that would be good for get together and parties... when Stay at Home has ended. We crossed a small stream and across the street to get to the hiking trails, however it started raining before we entered any of the trails. After a chorus of complaints, we abandoned our plans and headed back for the car... which is why there aren't any photographs for the review. Summertime. Large get togethers. Groups of kids wanting open space and playgrounds. All of those would be great for the park. Gray spring day with rain didn't get us far, unfortunately. read more

Great park just outside of East Aurora with many shelters for rent, playgrounds, and a disc golf course. This course is less busy than Chestnut Ridge, thankfully, which means it is usually cleaner (less litter). It's a much longer course, with a nice mix of wooded areas and open, grassy areas. There are a couple of restrooms along the way which is nice, as it can take a couple hours to play the entire course. Problems with this park: lots of seedy areas if you're alone; dogs usually not on leash which can lead to surprises or snarls; and grass cut only sporadically in the summer which can get quite long in areas. read more

My daughter wanted to go hiking but we don't want to go to Chestnut Ridge. We want something different. This is near my bf's parents house. We were not impressed with it. Actually we don't even stayed more than 15 minutes and decided to go to west Falls community park which everyone enjoyed more than emery. read more

Another great Erie county park with lots to see and do. They have some excellent disc golf courses here and famously a black diamond course! I'm a hiker so I was a little disappointed but the relative lack of hiking trails in this otherwise beautiful space but I can't complain too much. This looks like a great place to sled and they've even got a ski hill with a lift! There are absolutely tons of shelters, picnic tables, and benches around to enjoy the scenic beauty of this place and it's easy to get to just off the 400. Nice park! a great place to visit and enjoy some time away from life. read more

Went here for some Disc Golf yesterday, so rating this place based on the course. Overall this is a pretty nice place to go. It has an 18 hole course that takes you threw the woods, up and down some ravines and by streams for the first 9 holes. Then the back 9 has a bit more open field on some holes. The terrain can be a bit difficult if you are not an able bodied person. Not a good place to take younger children along for the walk as I know mine would not have been able to handle the hike. Would recommend a nice pair of hiking boots to play in as well. Took us about 2.5 hours to play all 18 holes. Pretty similar to Chestnut Ridge course layout if you have played there. read more

Been here twice this week. Cross country skiing is pretty fun through there. I went earlier in the week with my dog and there wasn't a soul around, it was nice a quite. Pretty huge, I think 290 sq acres. Its really close to main street in East Aurora so a nice short trip from Buffalo proper to great outdoor space. Even cooler yet is that in the winter (now) you can downhill ski for free along side the x country skiing you can do. Parking is free too with no park entry fee (not use to this yet being from California, the land of take all your money). Beautiful park, and for me great to see the hills sides and some light up and down to terrain to navigate. read more

We really enjoy biking in this park. The roads are winding and very scenic. We found the trails to be of nice length and though relatively short, it was fun winding through the park on the different trails. Very picturesque. read more

Went to school down the hill at The Gow School, learned to enjoy Emery Park then. Great trails, hidden jems and NATURE with out the city. One of the better quiet voice county parks, most outside of the locals and regular folks forget its here, but worth the visit! read more

12/30/17 Was here for downhill skiing. 3 small hills great for beginners, people looking to ski/snowboard for free or to escape the large ski resorts. Rustic lodge with a bathroom and fireplace. Tow rope. I would definitely recommend for everyone. read more
