Stumbled upon this park recently and decided to check it out.
There are two parking areas with entrances:
1. The Tonawanda Creek Rd entrance (across from Amherst Veteran's park) has information on the park including a trail map.
2. The Sweet Home Rd entrance (at Glenhaven Dr) has a garbage can and parking spaces, but no trail map or information is posted (as of Sep. 2020). I'd recommend parking at the other lot.
This park is nice if you want to take a walk in the woods and feel surrounded by nature. My only criticism is that the trail wasn't well maintained. There were huge tire tracks and flooded in some spots. Also, although it was nice to be engulfed by nature, the trails themselves aren't very scenic.
Although the trail is flat, its not smooth. Fine for walkers and trail runners, but I wouldn't recommend roller blading or bringing a stroller.
The park is managed by the Town of Amherst. read more
