After having some ice cream, we went for a quick walk throughout the park. This park really is great. It is a little small but that also makes it so nice. No need for maps or worries of getting lost, it's perfect for a nice walk. My son loves looking for all the wildlife especially if there are any ducks or fish. Luckily for him, there are plenty of ducks around here. Another nice thing about this park is that it is very scenic for photography. There were a few different groups there doing what looked like senior pictures or photos before an event. Whether you're looking for a nice walk, scenic backdrop or just a quiet place to sit on a bench and think, this park has it all.

I am amazed at how restful and beautifully maintained it is. The flowers were welcoming, the small waterfall enchanting, the trails curious and winding, and the wildlife amusing. I felt more relaxed and grounded after my visit than I have in a long time. The only negative was that someone was smoking weed on a park bench and the odor instantly turned me off. I'm sure smoking is not allowed, but I was chagrined that in this little section of The Garden of Eden someone would assume to make the place smell like a stoner's living room.

It was a great day to sit in our lawn chairs and look towards the sky. A giant octopus, some kites with really long tails, a parrot, a unicorn. Lots of colors and shapes. The road within the park could use a lot more than temporary tar and a shovel of stuff that does NOT stay long before the potholes return. They should do it correctly and right, when they consider the crowds that frolic and play here. A lot of investment and work is needed here before the park sinks into the sunset. Such a let down after they renovated it for 2 years…read more I used to love sitting at a table in the shade with my book and watch my family bring our dogs down there to play and now I can't even do that because the tables and chairs are gone and they build up the rock wall around the beach. The beach is still inaccessible there are giant cement blocks so it's not a straight shot down for a wheelchair and the grass around them is very uneven and hilly like ground for a wheelchair to go over and I got stuck in the rocks and had to ask people to help push me out, then on the way back to the walk way (video I posted) my wheelchair was going to flip. There are small simple things that they could have been done, I've been to other beach's that have strips over the sand/ rocks that wheelchairs can ride over. The building looks nice they added a small golf course. To me it seems like all they did was build the restaurant and build up the rock walls especially around the beach.

So you can pick up all kinds of crazy things that you wouldn't find at a regular Yard Sale elsewhere in the country. Here in Buffalo, though, we have a beautiful waterfront park along the Niagara River, with grilling and soccer and a dog park and lots of gorgeous views and sunsets. If you squint, you can see the Maple Syrup across the water glinting in the Canadian sunlight. I play soccer here... but not too often because it is the worst field I've ever played on. However other than soccer, I come here because it's one of my fave spots anywhere in the city. You can see the towering shapes of Statler and City Hall across the thundering 190 highway and train track at one end of the park. You have the Barkyard and all kinds of interesting buildings at the other end. And then you have the beautiful waterfront and the pathway along it. Not always the cleanest, not always the safest area at night, but during the day, in the summer, it's stunning. I was here just 3 weeks ago for a soccer game actually. I'm not supposed to be playing, but my goodness, what fantastic views from here on a blue sky day. It's one of the best natural settings for a park in Buffalo. The park isn't always the cleanest, the soccer field is the worst in the region (possibly the country), and the driveways are full of enormous treacherous potholes, but just because of the location and the beautiful views, I have to give it a 5.
