I learned the park is 16 acres large and has been around since 1899! The old trees are a sight to see, and the area feels like you're right in nature. The playground is vast and somewhat outdated, but the kids don't seem to mind. Many events take place here, too, including performances by the Aurora Players Theater and the Rotary Bandstand. Cars aren't allowed, and parking is limited; you might have to find parking on one of the side streets. I noticed there are restrooms too, and a couple of picnic shelters. Leave your beer, your dog and your snowmobile at home; they're not allowed, along with some other items you might want to look up before venturing out. It's a great public park and worth a stopover to relax and enjoy nature on one of the benches or bring a picnic and enjoy your time at one of the picnic tables. Truly, something for everyone.

The park had vendors, people were picnicking, kids were playing, there was a band and baseball field. Hamlin Park was out of a Hallmark Movie. Hallmark should not only continue to use Viddler's as a location for movies, but should also include this park for a summer movie location. Very few trash cans which makes walking your dog and picking up after him a little unpleasant. The fields do not drain very well so if you show up after a recent rainfall, it's a bit soggy and very buggy. If the neighborhood has seen her dry spell, the park is very pleasant. When there are soccer games or other organized sports activities, the parking spaces fill up quickly. There are no bathrooms at this park.

You do need to bring a rubber playground ball - google shows Walmart sells one by Franklin sports for less than $5-) The park is very clean, and it turns it's because one of the neighborhood family keeps it that way. We saw a man walking around with a bag and trash picker collecting whatever litter he spotted - what an amazing guy! There's no public restroom in sight or porta potty. However, there is a playground supervision office that opens from 12-6pm from 6/27-8/12 so it might have a restroom. Maybe?

There are pretend shops set up, a toddler playground separate from the big kid playground and plenty of swings. It's always clean and the people who use it are very friendly. My son really enjoys checking out the replica storefronts as this playground boasts a tiny main street of popular establishments in the village. We visited on a summer weekday and there were about 4 families at 9:30am. I have heard that it can sometimes get crowded, but it's no surprise because of how nice it is. There are also bathroom facilities on site as well that can be accessed from the outside. I believe there is a family restroom as well.

The bathrooms are pretty well kept and didn't smell like outhouse when we visited like so many other playground bathrooms do, at least as far as the ladies room went. There's some paths for walking or biking that looked flat and smooth enough for blading as well. There's a big soccer field. They have a couple movie nights in the summer. This hidden park is a little tough to find unless you live right next to it. It's not too small of…read morea space, is well maintained and has a really nice playground (that's pretty state of the art, given the solar panels, disability swing, etc.). It overlooks some undeveloped land, which, I believe, is a planned future subdivision. Because of this however, coyotes do visit sometimes. It's also pretty overrun with mosquitoes in the evenings (especially late summer and early fall). I don't know if it's the tall spruces, water runoff, or what, but compared to other parts of NoTL, this is kind of a mosquito haven. Overall though, this is a fantastic lesser-known gem.
