He's learned a bunch of new skills and tricks, and had a blast at the second week long session of their summer camp this year. Being in Delaware Park on Ring Road is really nice, with the only downside of course being that parking can be tricky sometimes, so you definitely need to be strategic for weekend games. Having DSC as a safe outdoor activity for him to get out and play during COVID has been a life saver.

It's a super cool location for the DSC, right next door to the best and most rowdy Soccer Pub in the region - Mes Que. Nowhere else in Buffalo or Rochester has the same level of soccer interest and masses of soccer fans coming in and out of this block every Saturday and Sunday for the matches shown there. So DSC is getting quite a lot of interest, and it's helping them move some of their cool but slightly overpriced soccer items for sale. I fully support them, though, and any other grass roots soccer organizations in this country.

Beautiful wide open area with a million soccer fields of all sizes…read more Ok, a million might be an exaggeration... But there really are a ton of them! The fields are kept up nicely, there is also a basketball court and a playground. Though the playground doesn't have swings which....come on...how do you not have swings? Lol There is a building for bathrooms and snack bar. The bathrooms are open all summer but the snack bar is only open for tournaments. It's a great place to practice soccer by yourself or with a team as there are often so many fields that you don't always have to reserve space.

A nice park option when you are not up to some wilderness hiking but wanna get some steps in.

I still play in a coed league twice a week. There still are some issues that lead to the 3 star rating. The drive into the place and the parking lot itself are plagued with pot holes, so you must drive carefully to avoid banging around your car. Some of the ceilings look like they could use some work, and while I did hear that they fixed the roof and there aren't garbage cans filled with water dripping down from the ceiling, I still have seen a ceiling leak or two. The pros are that it is close, much closer drive for those of us in the northtowns and even some in Buffalo than Sahlens or even Epic, and they are working hard to change things. They converted the old tennis courts to a second soccer field with new turf and lights. Over Christmas they redid the turf on the old field two so both are in good condition now. They are also renovating the entrance and desk area, complete with TVs for waiting parents and fans, and most recently it looks like the upstairs that used to be a bar seems to be heading in the direction of some sort of gym, it's still left to be seen what exactly it will be or how it will work but its great to see progress happening. They also seem to host a lot of events besides adult coed soccer, they are the home of the youth empire soccer league, regularly host baseball teams for practice, and host Joe Licata football on Sundays. Bravo sportsplex for looking to make a comeback, I applaud your efforts and look to see great things in the future.

They're owned by ECC, but are used often by BDSL teams which send overweight beer-bellied men to kick the crap out of each other on Sundays and sometimes Saturdays and Tuesdays too. I've played soccer on these fields probably 20 times in my life, most recently about two summers ago for an away game which was brilliant because I scored twice. Great memory. I love the fields. I always play better on lush green fields with the grass well cut and this is not always well cut but it was on the day when I got my win. These days it's 15 seconds drive from my Gym so I come over here and play soccer just for fun with friends every now and again even now. These are absolutely lovely fields, but they get too windy, and they also get a little neglected during the cold months of the year, which is a shame but understandable. All in all they score a solid 4, and I always enjoyed playing here.

It's rock hard and dusty and it has big pot holes, rocks, and almost no grass. It's an injury-inducing nightmare. Whatever you do, please skip playing soccer here if you're even remotely injury prone. Also, because of the surface, you'll probably end up with blisters. I can't believe that the Rec Leagues and the BDSL still use this as a field. It's also directly next to the I-190, so all the traffic fumes are lovely to inhale. Awesome.

A beautifully clean pool that appears to actually be open majority of the time I visit. There are tennis courts one of which acts as grounds for street hockey. Fireman's Park is a baseball diamond, a pavilion, some greenery, some trees, and a soccer field, in the heart of Depew sandwiched between a bunch of railway lines (or railroad tracks if you're American). I used to play soccer here quite a lot, and was on the wrong end of several ass-whoopings by Depew Village who are an excellent BDSL team that calls this location home. I also scored some goals here, including a hat trick once, so it has good memories for me too. All in all it's a great little park, the grass isn't too bad... it's under-utilized and underappreciated by Depew Locals and could be better than it is, so I'll give it a solid 4 out of 5. Speaking of a solid 4, I have a solid 7 or 8 right here.

But there's also a little truth to that, because the team I used to play for here, weren't too crazy about visiting teams that had a lot of, er, non-white players. Some of them more than others, I guess. I was last here maybe 2 years ago. I played soccer here probably 50 times over the course of several years, for a team of old friends. I feel like I know every single blade of grass here. The fields themselves though, are what I am reviewing. They're still used for BDSL matches as far as I know. The grass was usually not cut, and was often rough and spotty and very precarious in terms of getting injuries. Having said that, it was my home field, so I got used to it, and it ended up being a disadvantage more to the opponents than to us. So I'll give it a 3.

Around the end of April every year they have the Japanese blossom festival which is fun to go to. The Japanese garden is an exciting place to visit to relax, reflect, and have fun in the warmer days.
