if it were called Sportspaex instead, then the anagram could be Pop Star Sex. But it's not, so it can't be. So there.
I'm giving it a 3 just for the sentimental reasons described below.
I do believe that this place may have closed down permanently now. Not sure yet, but it was closed down recently for being hazardous to anyone using it.
It used to be really amazing. I have very fond memories of finishing my exams in Northern Virginia at about 3.15pm, then speeding all the way up 11/15 across the very heartland of Pennsylvania, and then doing 100 on the Southern Tier Expwy and on the something90 up towards Rochacha, and then arriving at Sportsplex in NT at 8.55pm for my Championship game which had kicked off at 8.50pm, and then scoring a goal and winning the game 2-1. Oh the memories. But that was long long time ago.
That was when the people who run the place cared, and the facilities were decent, and the refereeing was up to par. These days, the place is a health hazard in all kinds of ways. First of all the parking lot is full of the biggest potholes you've ever seen. They will SWALLOW your car. Secondly the roof is caving in, the changing rooms are a joke, the place leaks, it's freezing, and the showers are all both filthy and broken. The toilet doors don't lock. You name it, it's horrendous. Then the fields are not of good quality. Epic and Sahlens make them look like playing on dirt. And then the fact that it's sort of like "Lord Of The Flies" here, because it's basically been abandoned. The refs don't care, so there are really no rules. You will get hurt, especially when you play against certain teams. It's probably even worse than Sahlens in that regard. At Epic and outdoor (in some leagues) they protect you from brutality. At Sportsplex, nobody cares, so it's like street rules, which means you can get broken bones and cracked ribs (which I did) and nobody bats an eyelid.
Don't play here. Go to Sahlens or better yet go to Epic. And don't try and drive your Lexus in this parking lot either or it will turn into a Sportsplexus. Which is a bad thing. Trust me. read more
