From the initial design process with Danielle we felt at home with her guidance, and she made the entire experience fun and enjoyable. Danielle was extremely knowledgeable, and put us on the right path with regard to our budget, design expectations and really helping us to understand how the entire process works. Right from the beginning, we knew we had reached out to the right company. Then came the build process, in which we were fortunate enough to work with Steve Costa who not only juggled a third-floor walk-up, a building from the late 1800s, but also an extremely pregnant woman who was keen on getting this project off the ground and completed as quickly as possible. Steve led a fantastic group of NKB employees and subcontractors, but I would be remiss to not give a special shoutout to John and Mike who were our dream team carpenters, kitchen décor experts, and mental support during the project. Our dog clearly misses Steve, John and Mike as they became best friends it seems during the project. Additionally, Kelsea from the PMA team was a huge help in keeping the schedule/accounting on track for us. We were THRILLED with the final product (photos attached), and we are so very thankful for all of the hard work of the entire NKB team to bring our dream bathroom to life (before the baby, may I add)! I order a granite counter top from "countertops express" from the owner "cliff Leonard" for the…read morefirst time for one of my rental property and we schedule measurements a week that was done by another company that also installed the granite and brought twice broken granite so check every little thing also didn't put and didn't have the silicone for the granite completely unprofessional I had to call "cliff Leonard" to get this done and provide the silicone after "cliff" got paid completely the full amount. After a few weeks I called because they didn't sealed the sink with silicone correctly so water was leaking I was very polite and explained the situation to "cliff Leonard" he was trying to say everything to not take any responsibility of the work he sold. And this was his reply to me " I'm done with you" and hang up the my call. I'll mention that I still have warranty that he promised And that a violation of state laws. I'm sharing this on google so people well know what to expect when working with "countertops express" and with "cliff Leonard" specifically. I'll also mention that I own more rentals and he just lost all my future business with this company. My final opinion is that you'll find somewhere else and don't use this place from my own experience.

Have had nothing but positive experiences with this vendor. Patty Silvester is awesome. She has been impressively responsive throughout our shopping experiences. Sent a customer to pick out pavers... he walked out with an almost brand new outdoor kitchen!!! (Although, his wife's eyes looked like they could shoot lasers ha!) that is... until he told her he got EVERYTHING, the grill, mini fridge, cabinetry etc all for $4k!!! (When retail, was about $11k!!) The pavers were great too. And BYL even delivered them down the narrow south end alleyway between abutting brownstones which was rediculously stressful. I thought my jaw was going to fall off. We couldn't even get pick up trucks down there! They brought a forklift on the back of the delivery truck, zipped right down and dropped the pallet EXACTLY where we needed it!!!! Needless to say, very pleased with our experience. Now, had the 2 previous reviewers had more patience, maybe they wouldn't have spent $20-30k on materials but half that AND SCORED SOME! Oh well, their loss - Our gain! We have since gone on to work with BYL for 4 projects. We have gotten to know the team very well. They are responsive to email, pay attention to detail to make sure that nothing is overlooked and when it comes to renovations-- man, even the smallest detail overlooked can have consequences of EPIC proportions. Robert was a referral from my next door neighbor. I saw how quickly they finished the roof a few…read moreyears ago at a competitive price so I decided to reach out for a quote. He came by, spent about 10 min walking around, rang the doorbell and gave me a sheet of paper with the quote. Easy and painless as that. I asked for roof quote and got exactly what I wanted. He did not need to come inside or make me listen to a 2 hr sales pitch. I've had at least 2 other companies who tried to do that when I was getting a roof for the quote. 1 of them gave me a quote on sidings instead. The other did not even give me a quote because I decided to kick them out after half an hr. After getting some other quotes I decided to go with Robert and he agreed to come out 2 weeks later. His crew came on time as promised but he wasn't physically there until the end of the day. Overall his crew was efficient. They finished within 1 day as promised. The shingles looked okay, not as flat or even like our neighbors but it appeared to be just fine. They finished the roof before a big snow storm and rain/wind storm within the same week. It was able to withstand everything just fine and no noticeable water leak or anything in the attic. I did discovered a small chipped wood area in the attic which I can see some of the underlayment and shingles but water was not getting through or anything. I will continue to monitor. They actually was supposed to install the chimney as well forgot so they returned a few days later to complete it as promised. Overall fantastic job from Robert and his crew. From the quoting process to the fast efficient work. Cosmetically the shingles could have looked a bit better and more even but functionally it seems to have served its purpose and was worth it for the price I paid.
