My wife, Cindy, and I recently planned to celebrate our anniversary with dinner at Rios Brazilian…read moreSteakhouse. We've enjoyed Rios in the past, and because I have very little free time, it's been more than a year since our last visit. We looked forward to a quiet evening together. I found the Rios business card I had saved, called the telephone number printed on it, spoke directly with a woman at the restaurant, and made a reservation. At no point during that conversation did she mention that Rios had moved from Nazareth to Easton about a year earlier. She also did not ask whether we knew about the new location or confirm the current address. On the evening of our reservation, we drove to the address on the business card, only to find the restaurant permanently closed. Understandably confused, I called the same telephone number again. Someone answered and then told me Rios had moved to downtown Easton. We immediately drove to the new location. Unlike the former restaurant, which had its own parking lot, the Easton location required us to circle around, search for downtown street parking, and scour our vehicle and belongings for quarters since we didn't bring a credit card to pay for metered parking. After everything we had already been through, we still arrived only a few minutes late for our reservation. When I entered the restaurant, I explained what had happened and why I was upset. I will be honest: I was frustrated, and the conversation became heated. However, our complaint was simple and reasonable. When someone calls the restaurant to make a reservation, especially using the same telephone number the restaurant has used for years, the employee taking the reservation should confirm the current location. One sentence during that telephone call could have prevented the entire situation. We were not looking for anything free. We were not asking for special treatment. All we wanted was an acknowledgment that the situation could have been better handled and an apology. Instead, the hostess became defensive. When my wife entered and tried to explain that we simply wanted someone to understand why we were upset, we were told we were not welcome to eat at Rios and had to leave. After owning and operating businesses for many years, I understand that mistakes happen. What matters is how a business responds when a mistake inconveniences a customer. A simple apology would have ended the matter. Instead, a preventable communication failure turned into an embarrassing and disappointing end to what should have been a special anniversary dinner with my wife. Because we were never allowed to sit down and eat, I cannot comment on the food at the new location. This review focuses strictly on the reservation process, the lack of communication, and how our concerns were handled once we arrived. I hope the owners take this seriously and ensure employees confirm the current Easton address when accepting telephone reservations, particularly from returning customers who may still have the restaurant's former business card. I also hope the staff receives better guidance on how to listen, apologize, and de-escalate a customer's concern rather than becoming defensive and turning the customer away. We left shocked, embarrassed, and deeply disappointed. This is not how loyal returning customers, or any customers, should be treated. We will NEVER eat at Rios Brazilian Steakhouse in Easton, Pennsylvania again.

We also each got an empanada. I loved my chicken empanada and my friend enjoyed his beef one. The third member of our party had the 1/2 grilled chicken, 1/2 Brazilian chicken platter. He enjoyed his meal as well. I will say that the food at the restaurant was great. Just disappointed that the happy hour did not exist.

I should've known that this was gonna be a big disappointment when the restaurant was a furnace and we were sweating like we were in hot yoga not only where we charged for water to drink, but at the end, there was a charge for them to cut the cake and use their plates for our dessert that we brought for the birthday person We came for the Labor Day all you can eat crab legs, and the air conditioning was broken, but no one made us aware until we were 3/4 of the way through our meal and sweating bullets profusely. We kept asking if they could please turn the air-conditioning ON and no one addressed it until the very end, they just kept avoiding talking to us, but I literally felt like I was going to vomit at the table, and at one point one of the managers, I am guessing because he never introduced himself. He said that they are trying to work on it, and they finally brought a carpet drying fan and pointed it away from us so that was kind of not conducive to helping us with the severe warmth of the restaurant. Most most of the beef was either overcooked or it was super tough and very hard to chew definitely disappointed because every time I've ever seen an ad for this restaurant, they show tender and delicious looking meats. They also claimed in their dress code no gym clothes and no casual clothes so I dressed up and so did my husband and all of our party however, most of the restaurant look like they just strolled in from the street and the room we were in had way too many tables we were literally pushed up against the wall and it was not a good experience. The table next to us was like a pack of wild hyenas or animals because they were screaming and Hooten and hollering like they were living in a cave or in a barnyard. It was really not an enjoyable experience. I felt like I was among a bunch of savages and people were dressed in jeans, shorts and very casual attire when on their website they put a strict dress code and thank you for following their dress code. We All agreed to have the All you Can Eat Snow crab legs dinner but ontop of things, we spent $64.95.per person for our meals and they never brought out the Churrasco steak which I was really looking forward to trying and a lot of of the meat and beef was either over salted and Cajun or had jalapeño chimichurri sauce, which we don't eat. They didn't really have too many other plainer choices and definitely did Not have 15 different meats, unless you special requested no seasonings. I think there was maybe only five or six different types of meat. They came around with pork, sausage, Parmesan, chicken and mango chicken, New York strip, lamb, top sirloin, but most of the time it was jalapeño or Cajun crusted the Parmesan chicken and the mango chicken were very tough and fatty. They had a bacon wrapped filet mignon, but that was literally so small. I only got two bites of that, and the bacon was floppy bacon and not well done cooked, so I didn't really eat that because I wanted medium cooked and they never had Churrasco steak and they came around with delicious fillets of salmon, but they only came around one time with the salmon fish fillets and that was delicious, but it was only a small portion of five or six bites and they never came back out with. it To be honest, i was kind of afraid to eat that bacon filet mignion, but it was so Small and I was concerned about the Floppy soft bacon that grossed me out. All in all, the servers and staff looked extremely stressed out and sweated Up and instead of them, making us aware of what was going on with the heat, they never addressed it until the final end and then, all of our party ended up in the bathroom with diarrhea. 10 out of 10 do not recommend Buyer beware

Unfortunately, my overall experience was very disappointing due to poor service. Our server, a shorter male who I believe was named Ricardo, took our order. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and yuca fries. After waiting 25 minutes, I asked a staff member serving steak to check on the order, and he agreed. After 45 minutes, I followed up again with another staff member, a woman with reddish hair in a ponytail, and asked her to check with the kitchen. After waiting over an hour with no update, when she passed back, I informed her that I no longer wanted the food, and she acknowledged my request. Throughout this entire time, our server never once checked in on us. When he finally came to the table, I confirmed that my order had been canceled, and he said yes. He then proceeded to tell us that cooking takes time and that we needed to be patient. I dine out regularly and understand reasonable wait times, but the lack of communication and follow-up was unacceptable. The comment made by our server felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially given the circumstances. Overall, this experience did not meet expectations, and I will likely just stick to New York in the future.
