The only toilet for customers to use in the restaurant was smeared with feces all down the side and some was dripped down the side also.

*TRIGGER WARNING* *GRAPHIC PHOTOS OF * Never coming here again! Hamachi has been my and my husband's go to sushi place since they opened as we followed the chef from Joe's in PD. While the service has always been a little lackluster, we've had every roll on the menu, almost every appetizer, and enjoyed the chavelas that are always ice cold! But yesterday the end of my meal was topped off with a very disgusting surprise. I went to the restroom while my husband took care of the check and only after using the toilet while washing my hands did I notice that there was feces smeared and dripped all down the side of the toilet. I tried to get the attention of our server to discretely say something but she didn't see me I guess; so unfortunately I had to go up to the sushi bar and say out loud what I saw and show the photo. The server kinda laughed it off and yelled into the kitchen. Nobody came, then a man who was sitting at the sushi bar eating and drinking (who knows if he even works there) stood up and said he'd take care of it with no apologies or anything. I felt completely disgusted and my meal was ruined. We just spent nearly $100 on food just so I can see the unsanitary bathroom and just have my concerns laughed off. I always tip at least 20% in cash, but unfortunately I did leave no tip, and that's my very first time in my life doing that. I can't complain about the food tasting good, but it makes you think... if the bathroom is like that are they letting the kitchen go that way too? Believe me I don't write bad reviews and want to be labeled a "Karen", but I was craving sushi so bad, but really felt like vomiting after seeing what I saw. Whoever used and left the toilet in that condition should've attempted to clean it obviously 100%, but it was clearly old and dried on so it had been there for a while and the staff should be checking the restroom at least 1X per hour.

Sushi boat

Small restaurant in Cathedral city with some good sushi. Great service and they even have very hot sake. Sushi boat was good couldn't finish it myself. Had to take some home but definitely would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a place to get lunch at a great price it came with me some soup and a salad and it was fresh.

China Roll!

Food was AMAZING. I was honestly surprised by the amount of calamari we got in our serving, usually it's normal to only get about 4-6 pieces of tempura at any other place. The rolls were pretty big and saucy. 1st pic is the California tempura and the 2nd pic is the China roll. Can never go wrong with a classic california roll but the china roll was so delicious. Has a fruity tang flavor to it. Definitely recommend!

Tried, true, and trusted local sushi spot for creative, sometimes Latin cuisine inspired rolls. Everyone I've ever taken here has loved it. Friendly staff, good portions, wide menu to choose from. Surprisingly fresh for it being unassuming from the outside. Definitely a must visit if you're in town! Try the dragon supreme, sushine, chino, or hamachi tower!

A very cute Mexican take on sushi. If you are a sushi purist, you may not like this place. Many inventive rolls are reminiscent of ceviche. But right on the wall when you walk in, there is a recipe for spicy tuna. Cool; so this place is Japanese. On the left there is a television showing telenovelas. Cool; this place is Mexican. Whatever it is; I like it! Quirky cool. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Chewy and dry. What a bummer.

Ordered for takeout. $68 on straight up garbage. Super chewy beef teriyaki. Dry yakisoba. Crunchy roll looks like something from a fair (deep fried?). Decent portions I guess. It's not hard to make Japanese food. Not sure how they'd mess it up this bad. It's almost inedible. The yakisoba noodles taste like the pan and oil it was cooked in, rather than any seasoning. Everything is so hard to chew. The veggie tempura is okay. Save your money and go anywhere else. What a bummer.

Best Roll in the World. Despelucado(messy hair) I'll be back.

Best roll in the world. Despelucado(messy hair). I'll be back! I keep saying I'll order something different next time.

This use to be our spot to have sushi, this last experience changed everything. They were more entertained with guest who were drinking then making sure tables were being served. They got one of our orders wrong they missed the cream cheese, instead of redoing it they destroyed the roll and added the cream cheese. Keep in mind we only had taken one piece of the roll and thats how we noiced there wasnt any cream cheese. Rolls took forever to come out and it wasn't even as busy as it's been other times. Once the roll came back it fell apart, they said they were giving us the same roll. Completely disappointed with this experience. No refills offered. The chefs were drinking as i saw them saying cheers with Coronas in their hands and drinking.

Red Dragon

Sat at the bar and had amazing service from chef Fernando! The waitress was attentive and polite. The menu at Hamachi Sushi is genuinely unique. While they offer the classic rolls, they also have some innovative, unexpected combinations that are a must-try! I was especially blown away by their Red Dragon, which combined flavors in a way I'd never experienced before. The presentation was beautiful, with attention to detail that made each dish feel like a piece of art. Another highlight was their seasonal specials, featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. The chef, Fernando, clearly puts a lot of thought and creativity into every item, which made the entire meal feel special and memorable. Overall, if you're looking for a sushi spot that offers both exceptional service and a one-of-a-kind menu, this is the place to go. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

Mom and I were in cathedral city yesterday and decided to try this place. It's pretty small it seems clean . We only had two rolls. One was really good and the other was fresh but not as tasty. We will be back to try more. The lunch specials looked really good with the tempura.

Service is terrible they were super rude when my friend asked for another egg for her ramen because the one we got looked SCRAMBLED! Obviously super inauthentic which wouldn't have been a problem if the food also wasn't bland and kind of gross. The noodles looked like maurichan ramen I could've made better in 5 min.
