Memos sushi is good place to have some tasty treats. It is sushi with a Mexican fusion and they have some delicious dishes. I have always enjoyed having dinner here , including last night. The service is great and the food is tasty. I ordered one of my favorite appetizers the baked green mussels and they were very tasty, 6 to an order , so plenty for me. I also enjoyed the golden Joe roll with shrimp tempura and crab meat inside , topped with tuna and salmon. All was delicious

If you're looking for great Sushi near Cathedral City, Palm Springs, and Palm Desert, Memo's Sushi is the place to go. Sushi is very fresh, ambiance is cozy and feels authentic to a Japanese sushi joint, and service is great. Staff here are warm and welcoming and are great people. If you come and dine here, you'll also occasionally receive a little treat, but I'll leave the surprise for you 10/10 recommend if you want great sushi at a good price. I will start by saying that I have not been to Memo's for quite a long time. When things started reopening, I hadn't gone back, despite really liking the food. (Plus, my dinner companion isn't a fan of Asian food, so I tend to go to Asian places, when he ain't around!) Early Monday evening, I stop by for dinner. There was two ladies seated by the patio door and two ladies seated by the front door. I sat next to one of the pairs of ladies. I was brought a menu pretty quickly. It is slender and taller than before. (A little hard to read some of the words, due to everything being shrunk down.) I opted for my usual salmon teriyaki bento box with tempura and CA roll. I asked for an iced tea. Perhaps I should have looked at the menu before doing that. I remember Memo's having these huge blue plastic cups. One glass was usually enough for me. Now, they have regular sized cups, which is fine. When I got the bill, however, I saw that the one glass of tea I got was $6.99. That is more than movie theaters charge for a huge cup. Had I known, again, my fault for not looking at the menu closely, I would have asked for a refill, at least. Tea is the cheapest thing that a restaurant can sell for beverages, so to have a markup that high is that much more painful. The server wasn't attentive. It took her several minutes to take my order. She never checked back on me. A nice older lady brought me my miso soup, which was delicious. Another young lady cleared my dishes. It wasn't until she brought the check that I saw her again. When there are that few tables and at least one other person working up front with you, that ain't good customer service. My dinner was excellent. Even though the food price went up, slightly, I still feel it was a value for what I received. The tempura was absolutely perfect. The salmon was maybe a few seconds overcooked, but I enjoyed the teriyaki sauce. CA roll was fresh tasting, though the wasabi paste didn't have much of a bite. I enjoyed the pickled ginger. The owner did send over a free bowl of edamame, which I appreciated. Will I return, yes. Will I order iced tea again? Heck no. I will stick with water.

It says here antiza and the guy kept trying to correct me says it's anitza

Based on experience alone. Didn't get a chance to try the food. I Called to order. I pronounced a roll as Antiza because that's how it's spelled on the website. The guy kept saying "huh?" And asking "Anita" or "Anitza?" I just told him how it's spelled online. He couldn't understand me. It was a bit frustrating. He took my order and asked if I was paying in store or over the phone. I said I would pay at the store. All of a sudden, without warning or him letting me know, another lady answered the phone and asked me for my card number. I told her what I told the guy and she said they have to take payments before. I asked her how much it was. For 3 rolls and a miso was almost $100. I asked for each price and she changed it twice. There are no prices online. But when she told me the prices I added it up and it would've only been about $85. She said it was $95 before taxes. Made no sense so I asked her the taxes and she said it was 8.95%. What.? I had to keep repeating myself and my card number. Which she was yelling out loud and I had no idea who was around her. So I felt uncomfortable giving her my card number. So I asked if I could just pay when I got there because she couldn't hear me. And she said no. She asked if I had ever ordered from here before. I let her know that I have never. Then she said that she would have to wait to out the order in after I paid. The point was for it to be ready by the time I got there because she said it would take 20 min. I just asked to cancel the order. I had a bad feeling that if I had to go through this much trouble to order, then they'd mess up my order or something also. Terrible customer service.

100/10! I would absolutely recommend and come here again! Some of the best sushi/Japanese items I've had. Everything was so fresh, hot, and came out quickly. The staff was very nice and welcoming. There is plenty of parking in the lot and near by areas. There is not a ton of seating but they have enough! We started with stuff fried stuffed peppers (nice and crunchy!)! I got a Thai tea and the serving was HUGE and it was very good! Things we got: Shrimp yakisoba: big portion, plenty of shrimp, came out piping hot 10/10 Horacio roll: probably the best roll I've ever had, the sauce they put on the plate is fire. Would defiantly order again. Lovely roll: very good and fresh, I am more of a sauce girl so I would pass because the Horacio roll was too good. Teriyaki bento box: massive portion! The miso soup was perfectly salty and balanced, came with a ton of tempura veggies (2 shrimp, 1 onion, 1 yam, 1 squash, 1 broccoli), salad (really good dressing), cup of rice (very good!), healthy portion of chicken and veggies! Would drive from San Diego to come here!

We have been living out here in the desert for a year now and we have officially found our favorite sushi spot! The Cabo platter...I HIGHLY recommend. We are obviously first timers here and we were given a free appetizer (I can't remember what it was though, I'm sorry!), how kind! Our overall experience was great. Our servers were attentive and we loved the seating options that were available. We will be bringing friends and family from out of town to this spot moving forward!

Best sushi! You can't miss with this place. Great atmosphere, quick and very friendly! The Jalapeño Poppers are delicious. Really recommend.

We don't have many great sushi options in the Coachella Valley so I'm glad to have Joyce! I ordered the Spicy Crunch Salmon Roll and it was delicious! Very filling. Next time I'll try the lemon pepper flavor. The staff was very friendly and the service was prompt. They even have a cute serving-robot that goes to your table. To start off with the good, the rolls were great, I highly recommend the venue roll and the yellow tail crudo. The drinks were great nothing out of the ordinary or anything I would come back for or wish to have again. The matcha lychee drink was pretty unique though! Now for room for improvement... I feel like the food and drinks alone are wonderful but the service was very disappointing to say the least. We had a reservation for 4 people inside, and when we checked in multiple walk ins of 2 and 4 people were let in before us to be seated inside, even though we showed up at the same time and had a reservation for the exact time we got there * reservation was at 7 we checked in at 6:57*. We got seated right by the restroom and instantly there was an odor that came from the restroom that impacted our experience. Not only that, but half of our party had to continuously get up and move in order for guests to use the restroom. This isn't any negativity on the guests themselves, we understand that they obviously needed to use the restroom. When we asked at the beginning when we were sat if we could move tables, when there was room inside to be seated for 4 people our server told us that there wasn't anything that they could do... I understand maybe other reservations but it really is unfortunate on how multiple walk-ins were seated before our party with a reservation, our party had to be continuously disrupted in order to accommodate for guests using the restroom, and the odor coming from the restroom didn't allow us to actually enjoy the food and drinks.

I ended up giving one to my 3- and 5-year-old kids, thinking it was the mild one. After a few bites, they started complaining that their mouths were burning. I tasted it myself and realized they had been given the spicy ramen--the one that was supposed to be for my husband. Then we waited even longer for the other order, only to receive a shrimp and noodle dish that we never ordered. At that point, we were already starving and had waited so long that I just decided to eat it and share it with the kids rather than wait even longer. The food itself was nothing special. The shrimp was fried, but the noodles tasted like regular packaged ramen, and the broth was bland. I couldn't really taste much of anything, and for the price, I expected a lot more. We spent about $90 for two soups, one sushi roll, and a drink. For that price, the food and service should have been much better. Between the order mix-up, not being told which ramen was spicy, the long wait, and the mediocre food, this place definitely did not live up to the hype.
