I visited lovely nails yesterday for a pedicure and a full set of nee acrilics. I read all of the Yelp reviews and hoped they were spot on because I was in need of a new go to nail salon. Mind you all of this is on a Sunday when they have limited hours. I called and asked if they had time for the above services. I was told to come in within a half an hour. As soon as I arrived I was immediately seated in a pedicure chair. I'm not sure of the gentleman who did my toes but he was great! Their basic pedi gives you a hot stone massage and exfoliating scrub. It was wonderful. Once my pedicure was done I waited about 5 minutes until Kim was finished with her previous client and I was seated in her manicure chair. Another gentleman help clean up my nails until Kim was finished with another client. Once my nails were clean and ready to go can you jump right over and put a whole set of acrylics on and painted them in less than an hour. I cannot stress to you enough how much of a pet peeve time management is to me. I've left many salons before because I'm there for 3 to 4 hours for just a manicure and pedicure. Not only was the experience wonderful the quality is excellent. I asked everybody that work there about lunch recommendations because I'm new to the area, and everybody gave me a little bit of information. I would highly recommend Lovely Nails to anybody. read more

After my previous nail tech retired I struggled to find someone who could do my nails to my exacting standards. I'm beyond picky! Kim not only meets my standards but has raised the bar! I used to come here for years and just stopped over time. It's been a few years since I've been here and it seemed a little run down inside since I used to go here. Not sure what's happened or what's going on but it always looked very well kept but possibly an off day. The real reason for my 3 starts was my pedicure I received. I paid $55 dollars not including tip on the deluxe pedicure plus gel polish (the gel alone was $15 which I thought was really high compared to other places). The whole experience was really meh... not much of a massage, didn't really scrub the bottom of my feet as they still feel quite rough, the sugar scrub portion was more irritating than soothing as he scrubbed it on my skin dry, and the hot rock portion was just a 5 second rub under my feet. I just expected more I guess for the price I paid. Would not recommend the pedicure. I have had my nails done by kim in the past and she is wonderful otherwise! read more

If at first you don't succeed, pay someone to do it for you. I'm just saying, I personally could not paint my nails to save my life. Their is always bubbles, bumps, or polish leftover all around the house. Never as relaxing as it should be, which is why I no longer bother, and head over to Lovely Nails. This 5 star review is 100% due to the fabulous work of the owner, Kim. She puts so much dedication and precision into EVERY SINGLE manicure. She is requested the most of all the nail techs, and her schedule tends to fill up, so book ahead of time! She takes pride in her work, and it is apparent in every manicure you get here! She never rushes, and makes sure they're perfect before you leave. I get gel each time, but have seen her do acrylics, french, and more! She even does a great job at the little designs I find off Pinterest and bring in (such as Jack Skellington for Halloween or little eyeballs - see pics!) , and I always leave very happy. Not only is she extremely hard working, she is also kind, and makes sure her staff is also extremely good at what they do. I will never visit another nail salon in Tucson, as long as Kim has Lovely Nails open! read more

I was so exhausted and needed a pick me up and relaxing visit. I was close by at Pei Wei and so stopped by on my way home. I called to confirm that I could come in within 5 minutes. I'm glad I did because 5 mins later someone walked in and would have taken my spot. Once there, I got a French gel manicure on too short nails. The manicure was ok ($25 gel + $5 French). I was warned that my nails were too short for a French manicure but I did it anyway. Turns out that they were too short and I didn't particularly like them, but they were definitely nicer and cleaner than before I came in. As for the pedicure...that was heaven! I've had many pedicures before but this was by far the best. I had a basic pedicure...and got exfoliation and a hot stone massage. Who knew that could be so good! Oh my god, just what I needed for my tired legs. The hot stone massage coupled with the massage chair for 45 mins was just what I needed. However, the highlight was the meticulous and beautiful color on my toes. I have ugly feet and so won't share a picture, but I love my toes right now. I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back for a pick me up pedicure whenever I'm feeling exhausted. In fact, I'm bringing my mom along too for the next pedicure! read more

I called really late on a Sunday (after another salon blew off my appointment) and they were able to take me! I have a wedding in 6 days and my time is super limited this week, so I was stressing (they didn't know this). This is how they treat all their customers, those in a pinch or not. That says a lot about their customer service. I am super grateful they squeezed me in and my nails look great. I received a pedicure and an SNS mani. The total cost was $66, which is definitely competitive with other salons in the area. The service was wonderful (one of the best leg massages I've had in a long time) and my technician was meticulous. She even stayed late to make sure I was taken care of. I am moving to Tucson in a few months full time and I found my new nail salon! Wahoo! read more

I heard around town and from all of the reviews online that Kim at Lovely Nails did the best nails in town, and y'all were right! I love my nails so much, she listened to exactly what I wanted and was so sweet. I highly recommend Kim! Btw, I cut my own cuticles before I went to Kim, I did not cut them correctly read more

This was my 2nd and last time coming here. I had about a 2 minute massage on my gel Pedicure. Then I had dip and wanted them removed and a regular manicure. Since I only got a basic manicure I get stuck with a charge for the removal of the dip. That is ridiculous. Also has a sign because of high charges for credit cards recommends using cash no mention of a charge for using a card. However when you go to pay they charge you $1 for using card. There are plenty of nail shops so will not be returning. Some shops just love to over charge. read more

I'm giving one star for the nail polish color I picked out. Where do these reviews come from??? My review is lengthy, but worth it. So I saw the "great" reviews and decided to try a new place for my Birthday. I called to ask for a price for mani-pedi and was told it would be 27.00. I thought it was a good price and came in. I mentioned to the man that it was my birthday and also a lady who I think was his daughter. Neither seemed to care less. But this was the least of my worries to come. I told the man that did my mani that I did not want him to cut out my ingrown toenails because on one toe it was sensitive and swollen in that area. I pointed to the area. He said okay. Then he took his tool and pulled it out anyway. I cannot tell you how much that hurt. I told him, "Ouch! That really hurt and I asked you not to touch that area!" He seriously laughed and then, seriously, WIPED the ingrown toenail on the top of my leg right above my knee and said, "yeah, yeah, look! No big deal!" WTF!! It doesn't end there. During the "massage," he rubs a warm rock on my left leg but not on my right. He never got any of the worn part of my heels buffed out. I'd have better luck buying a sheet of sand paper at home depot. Next, when I was sitting in the massage chair, he then shuts it off abruptly without even asking me! I thought that was part of the price. He then tells me to go sit at the manicure table. After all this crap that already happened, I thought I better confirm the price with the lady. Sure enough, she tells me it will be $51.00 plus tax. I told her that is not what she told me over the phone for the mani-pedi package. She said that is because I got a sparkly color so its more. I was never notified and it didn't show on the color wheel. Then she asked me, "Come on, what's the big deal. Why wouldn't you get both done?" I said, "Because I want to spend my money on other stuff!" The flower design done on my nails looked totally opposite than what was on the color wheel. I also asked for the flowers to be on the bottom part of my big toe nail. When it came time to pay my $31.00, which was for the pedi only since I was lied to about pricing, she seemed to stand there expecting a tip. Ha! I walked out with my toe in pain, the bottom of my feet unchanged, ridiculous looking flowers painted on my toes, and my hands not done. I will not be back!!! read more

I wanted to update my review as now I have been going to Lovely Nails regularly since I first stopped in. Kim and her staff have the magic formula here. Experienced and talented in all the services they offer, each person who is part of this team is extremely valuable and customer service oriented. The selection of polish has grown and the nail art that I've seen other's come out of the salon with is beautifully done. I've stuck with the pink and white French tip Manicure as my dress code at work tends to be very conservative and classy. Consistently Kim does a very beautiful job, and my natural nails have grown so long that there are no longer artificial tips on my nails! I've had one backfill since I switched to the Pink and White, and they still look perfect and brand new. I get compliments all the time about how lovely my nails look. The pricing here is very reasonable - combined with the excellent customer service you cannot go wrong by coming here. read more

Halora Nails - Hand painted blue sparkles for a funky French manicure. Love it! - Nail Salons Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

The owner, Kim was very rude, & in front of others. She tends to do the nails in uneven lengths, when I pointed that out, & asked nicely to correct this, she flipped out on me. I let the uneven nail lengths & the lifting go a few times because, I sensed she may get upset, but enough is enough. If you ask her to correct a mistake or 2 on a fill, watch out, she a lots you 20-30 mins, if it takes longer, you get 'attitude', she blames you for being to picky, all she really cares about is her $ bottom line. I will never return. read more

***UPDATED REVIEW*** Just returned to Lovely Nails and was happy to see that Kim now has two assistants and have added more colors and workstations. The last pedicure I had here lasted over a month and a half. A MONTH AND A HALF, people. I was only motivated to go to get the feeties redone, as I could probably poke someone's eyes out with my nails. Like Kim, her assistants are excellent nail techs, gentle on the cuticles and thorough. Plus, you now get a HOT STONE MASSAGE with your pedicure massage...which lasts longer than some people's marriages. Price is still introductory at $20.00/pedicure. ********************** Freshly-manicured hands down, one of the best experiences ever at a locally-run nail salon. Kim, the owner, took over the previous "Pisa Nails". I'd never been here when it was "Pisa Nails", but apparently the previous owners just sold the business and took off without telling any of their clients. When I arrived, the new owner was greeting stunned clients of the previous owners. Apparently, the clients had appointments with the old owners, who'd neglected to tell them about the ownership change. "Kim" - and I may be wrong about her name, as I was enveloped in an aura of lovely nailness my entire time there - is the owner and only person working when I visited the weekend before New Year's. For $25.00 (plus a 30% off limited-time introductory offer) - one can get a 45-minute pedicure complete with salt scrub leg massage and wailing about the Tucson heat in broken Vietnamese-English. (The heat in Tucson - unlike gun control, doing away with American-branded cars and straw cowboy hats - is generally a safe topic to discuss with any random stranger in Tucson.) Kim doesn't push your cuticles as far back as Alaska like some less expensive nail salons, but she is very fastidious about everything else, and doesn't gloop the nail polish all over the place, then try to clean it up with nail polish remover. As I was the only one there, we chatted (while she pedicured) for quite a while, till another client came in, and I told her 5+ minutes of massage on my right leg was quite enough, thank you very much. When I visited, workers were putting finishing touches on the decor, but were very discrete and quite about it. And, if you're not convinced by my review, as the client before me (a customer of the previous owners) exited the nail salon, she told me under her breath, "She's really goooood. You'll be so pleased!" And I am. read more

My new favorite place. Asked Kim for gel builder on my natural nails. Not many people get it but I love it. She includes the shellac with it at no extra cost!!!! She only took 45 minutes from beginning to end. It usually takes a nail tech almost 3 hours. I was very happy with the shaping of the nails and the layering of builder. I did have a slight set back by the design. being a simple spider web, she was in such a hurry to get to the next person, I had to ask her to fix it. I felt awkward asking. If she slowed down it would have been perfect. Next time I'll ask Kim to put my appointment for longer than usual so she can slow down on the design. Other than that I was very satisfied with the service. read more

Must say I am pleased... I went around 10am Wednesday morning and was helped basically immediately. I got acrylics done ($25) and they turned out wonderful. Every nail place I've ever gone too, I always watch them put hardly any polish on the nails. This place actually put a good amount of polish on my nails and really took their time. I'm really pleased with the service I received :) read more

My new favorite place for a pedi! It was pedicure time and I was looking for somewhere close to where I was located...so used Yelp and voila Lovely Nails!! I called and was told I could get in in 15-20 mins. Perfect! It was a full house when I arrived but they stayed true to their word on timing. I walked in and used some of my wait time to select a polish. So many great choices! Massage chairs were awesome and my pedi was perfect! Kim (the lovely owner) gave me my pedicure and it was my favorite pedi to date. My heels feel so nice and smooth! This is my new go-to place. I do recommend calling ahead to make an appointment, as they are super busy (even on a Friday morning). read more

I'm from Texas and in Tucson visiting my folks. Slammed my fingers in the car door, ruined my manicure and was desperate for a nail salon. Found reviews on yelp and gave Lovely Nails a try since it was close. Wow! What luck! I called ahead for an appt. and figured I'd treat myself to a pedi too. Tommy did my pedi then Kim did my nails. The Pedi was gentle and relaxing. Kim put on a new full set of nails. Great job! She is a perfectionist so no bits of nail or polish left hanging. I asked her for something fun as a design for the holidays and she put snowflakes and ribbons and bows in red to match my toes! I posted a picture. Do not go here super expensive for not good quality got a brand new set w diamonds and glitter a nail broke 2 days later and the diamonds were already coming off the next day! I decided to try it again after i got a fill once before because it was close to my job but it was a mistake. I usually go to Paris nails on broadway and I'm glad I now know to stay loyal!! I would not recommend this place! Without going into too much detail, I will just say that I have been here 2 to 3 times and while I have never been terribly impressed, my most recent visit on Saturday was the worst. What was the problem? Well, first off the water they had me soak my feet in was tepid and not hot. The older man who did my pedicure was not paying attention to what he was doing and was more interested in talking to his coworkers then he was in massaging my feet. The next day I woke up with a rough patches on my heels so he clearly did not do a good job removing the dead skin. Then for my manicure the younger man who did my nails did not speak even a shred of English so I could not tell him what I wanted without having one of the other girls translate for me. I had to remind him that buffing my nails and applying lotion was part of my manicure because he asked for payment before doing either of those things. I will not be going here again. The nail place at Orange Grove and Oracle is much better and worth the short drive. read more

Schedule a 9 A.M. (when they first opened) Mani/pedi but had to wait almost 30 minutes to get started. The massage with both the mani and pedi was just having someone else put lotion on for me. Thanks Kim for my new set of nails. Kim is the friendly owner. I got a ombré partial almond mid/length and they look great-and she knows how to do them fast. I think my disappointment is that 2 minutes went into prep. The nails weren't cleaned, buffed, the cuticles were overgrown-so I think after 2 weeks I better have them removed. So my original review was wonderful. BUT now it's been 7 days and 3 nails have broken. All broken for no reason, one just popped off when I was in bed. I'm so sad that I'm updating my review to something less than what I had previously raved about. I had seen Kim a handful of times for fills after my first initial full acrylic set she did that I loved. After having to stop getting my nails done for a while to save $, I decided to start up again and went back to her for another full set. My appointment was at 5:30, at the tail end of their evening. I knew this when I booked my appointment but didn't think it would be an issue. I got there a little early, Kim took me early and we got started. Maybe 15-20 mins into my nails, another client of hers came in with a friend who was also needing fills and a pedicure. Kim mentioned while I had been there that one of her techs had quit, which left them a bit short handed. At this point in my full set, I'm usually told to wash my hands and we would get to painting. Wrong. No hand washing. Barely any buffing. A step or two of shaping was skipped in my set, something I would definitely notice since I've had my nails done more times than I care to admit. She got right to painting and I didn't even have a chance to ask to pay before the painting of my nails started. I wasn't even aware of what was happening until she started painting my nails. I was kind of annoyed. I don't think it's fair that I need to be rushed and steps must be skipped so you can get to your next client before you close. It was not my fault that they were short staffed and therefore I had to receive a less than great service. Two weeks later, my nails had all fallen off. I'm sad because after my initial visits my expectations were high. I'll have to find another nail place. read more

After reading such great reviews I decided to give this place a try. I had high hopes that I was going to find my new nail place since it was relatively close to my house. I decided to have a manicure and pedicure and I also found a $5 off coupon on double take deals which was great. The manicure and pedicure was pretty good the only thing is that they filed my toes down instead of cut them, not a big deal. When my nails were done drying I went to pay and told the gentleman working I had the coupon and showed him on my phone. He asked Kim and she said I would have to print it. Right on my screen it shows redeem now and gives them a code to use. I thought it was ridiculous and will not be returning. There are plenty of other nail salons. read more
