I came here with my mom and my boyfriend on an putting in Hattiesburg. The waitress was very sweet and the restaurant was very clean. The lighting was very dark so if you have a hard time seeing in low light this might not be the place for you. My boyfriend got the shrimp PoBoy with voodoo sauce and said it was very good. I got the catfish which came in some really good sizes but they tasted really fishy. My mom got the crab cakes, which she loved, and the gumbo, which she did not like. The waitress did offer to take it back and for my mom to get something else. The sweet tea was pretty good too. Probably won't go back though. It wasn't worth how much we ended up paying. read more

This place was just okay. We were in Flowood from out of town (South Louisiana) and hubby wanted Charbroiled Oysters. We went on a Friday night at 6pm. Were told 35-45 mins and because of COVID-19 restrictions had to wait in our car (no big deal though). Wait took over an hour. Food took over another hour (1:15) to arrive and we ordered as soon as we were sat after having looked at the menus in the car online. My Royal Reds shrimp were shell-on, which I wouldn't have gotten had I known that (just didn't feel like messing with peeling them), but it wasn't stated on the menu. They were slightly over cooked as well. Hubby got the portobello seafood stuffed mushrooms and said they were really good. One of my boys got the seafood pot pie, it was huge, and he said it was good. The food was descent, but not worth the wait. It was okay. I ordered the stuffed portabellas with asparagus and jalapeño hush puppies as sides. The asparagus was cooked within an inch of its life. Did not even look appetizing. Sent it back and got steamed broccoli instead. Everything was fine. Perfectly edible, but not delicious. My date ordered seafood pasta and after adding salt, he determined it was "okay." It is highly unlikely that we will revisit this establishment. There are better seafood restaurants to be found in the area. There were 6 of us; drinks; appetizers were with us quickly. Even though we enjoyed our socializing with each other, after abut 45 minutes we began to get really hungry, It was one hour and 15 minutes before we got our entrees; my fried shrimp, my husband's baked oysters, and my brother's fried oysters were very good but only slightly warm, even though the plate was slightly hotter. My bananas foster cheesecake was PERFECT, by the way, and brought out timely. Suggestions to the management: 1.. make adjustments in the kitchen by adding more trained chefs and perhaps a faster way to shuck oysters or more people shucking; oyster shucking is an art, but should not be used to entertain as one reviewer said about Mario. 2..perhaps find a head chef that can handle crowds because the crowd is only going to get larger unless the food promptness continues as is. 3..If something isn't done quickly to get food out to us customers way more quickly and HOT then we will go back to places that have kitchens equipped to handle large crowds. 4..Ask head chef for QUICK solutions because there were customers around us getting angry. 5..perhaps your chefs need better training; we can't expect poorly trained chefs to SUDDENLY know how to handle read more

Went here for lunch with a couple of friends. The food and service were great. I had fried oysters and jalapeño cheddar hush puppies. They were delicious. The only negative was a couple of the oysters could have been cleaned better because there were some small pieces of shell (I think) in them. My wife and daughter had the seafood pot pie. They both said it was excellent and full of crab, crawfish and shrimp. We got a couple of pieces of cheesecake (an extreme chocolate one and the bananas foster one). Both were very rich and very good. Our server was so nice. She did not push us to each get a dessert, but actually suggested we just get a couple and share amongst ourselves (4 of the 5 of us shared the two pieces). I use to half shell until tonight. My wife and I with some family members went to half shell to celebrate my birthday. When we walked in they asked how many and we said 13 and were told that we could not sit together. Then to make matters even worse my wife had brought a birthday cake for us to eat and they told us we could not serve it. They would be glad to refrigerate it for us but we could not eat it in their facilities. Needless to say I took my family and business elsewhere. This restaurant changed my life! The oyster platter had great variety with uniquely distinct flavors! Tyler and Dino made our experience exceptional. This place has a wonderful atmosphere. We went on a. Saturday night about 7p. Wait for 2 was about 35 min. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. We got broiled oysters, Lobster corn bisque, seafood pasta and Redfish Orleans. Everything was excellent. My one complaint is the TV. We were seated in he back room, which is a nice area. However the first table they seated is at was under a huge tv, right above our booth, close enough to touch. We requested to be moved and they did. We noticed the next couple seated under the TV was also visibly annoyed. This is a dimly lot room with a nice atmosphere, except for this TV reflecting light off of every surface. Leave the TV's for the bar area and allow the rest of the restaurant to have the nice atmosphere that it has, minus the TV's. read more
