This is the reality about electronics repair. They don't know if they can fix it. They are going to charge a high fee to tell you if they can fix it and shift all the risk to you. Which make economic sense. Of course, I am not going to fix anything. I'll just buy a new subwoofer and be done with it. Now, before you blast me for even having an AM/FM radio from the mid-90s, you should know this radio has received "cult" status among DXers for its ability to pull in far-away AM stations from across the country. As a DXing hobbyist, in Houston I normally pull in AM stations from as far north as Chicago, west to Salt Lake City and Denver, all states across the Gulf Coast to Florida, up to Nashville (and everywhere in between). I have even pulled in two AM stations in Cuba. OK. Back to the broken analog tuning knob. I took the radio to Ron's because it was close and I was hoping it could be repaired. He told me it was probably the dial pulley on the inside of the radio, and said it would take a couple days. The next day he called and told me it was ready! Fast service, very reasonable cost, and the radio worked as good as new!

As I arrived I waited a few minutes, no one greeted and I continued to wait. After a few minutes I asked if someone can help. 2 guys in black shirt I guess target techs? Only said that only the guy in red could help. (Person who was helping another customer) girl in red just didn't say anything and continue chatting with each other. I've noticed they were all helping one customer and when I asked if any of them can help they said no to wait for other guy. Felt like very poorly service as well as no team help.
