Breakfast Sami w/ sausage and avocado
    Yeilyn M.

I ordered the hazelnut cold brew with oat milk and it was delicious. The breakfast Sami with sausage and avocado was good but too small for the price, in my opinion. The bread on the sandwich was very soft and not crumbly like gluten free bread usually is.

    Breakfast Quesadilla...so good and crunchy

Lately, I have been seeing HaleLife Bakery display and I realized it's close by. I went there for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla, unsweetened ice tea and chocolate ganache cupcake. The breakfast quesadilla is more southwest like with corn, black beans and spicy mayo. I really enjoyed this quesadilla. Chocolate ganache cupcake was very chocolatey and very good. My iced tea helped cool myself down because it's very hot outside. FYI --the parking lot gets filled up quickly.

    Beignets
    Jenny S.

Very underwhelming especially for the price. Ordered the beignets expecting them to be fresh only to discover they had been previously frozen then warmed up because the inside of them were still thawing out/cold. Not a ton of space to sit and enjoy your food, but the staff were super sweet though.

All gluten free and vegan bakery - amazing! Very allergens friendly with great labeling. I got two donuts and a pumpkin cinnamon roll cookie. The cookie was honestly a little disappointing, I didn't really taste the pumpkin at all. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch donut and the chai latte donut were both good! I would said that this is a solid option with a beautiful amount of variety for people with dietary restrictions but maybe not the best I've ever had in the category of vegan gf dessert. Employees were super kind and prompt. Small inside space, I'd say it's more of a grab and go type place. Also, get there early if there's anything specific you really want cuz stuff does seem to sell out as day goes on.

My child has celiac and other food allergies so we are always on the lookout for new places that carry items that they can enjoy. We have a couple of bakeries up near Orlando that they go to on occasion that have some really good items. This one came up in my search for safe foods for them. they didn't really want to have a meal so the bakery made sense because we could pick something up to bring home with us. We talked to the employee at the counter to verify that everything they had was gluten and soy free. Their items are also free from most other allergens as well. they have a sign up that says to ask about items that are coconut free. They are located in a small shopping mall on the backside from where we approached and parking was crowded. We were able to find a space and then walked inside. They are a corner building and they have outdoor seating as well as some indoor seating. The menus are well displayed, and the pastries are in a case by the counter. They also have a cooler out front that has more of their savory items so that you can take them home. Each of the three of us chose a pastry item and my child's partner ordered them the soft pretzels with cheddar cheese, dipping sauce. Those items were also safe for them to eat. The pretzels smell fabulous and they did both enjoy them. My child's partner really enjoyed the item they got and while my child enjoyed the cupcake they ordered they did comment that it was a bit dry. This is an issue you can have when making gluten-free products. I ordered the Lava which is essentially a chocolate brownie with a chocolate cream on top. The young lady working in the counter told me this was very chocolatey. Prices for what they have on their menu are in line with what we usually find at bakeries like this. My brownie, which had a very good chocolate flavor but was not as overpowering as it's gluten powered competitors. My brownie also felt a little dry and it was somewhat crumbly. We do expect this, and I really enjoyed the taste of it. Hopefully when we are down in the Tampa area again, we will be able to stop and try something different. They also have a second location in Saint Pete. If you are in the market for gluten-free foods that are very allergen friendly than this place is totally worth trying. Everything on their menu sounded good.

This was a cute spot we found while visiting the Tampa area. My wife has celiac so having a place that caters to gluten free allergies is amazing. The cookies and crème donut I had was very delicious. The beignet was amazing per my wife. Forgot to take pictures of the treats and we ate them really fast.

Oh wow! HaleLife is amazing! If you have a gluten allergy this place is 100% safe and FUN too. There are plenty of options for a nice breakfast. The GF bagels are light and taste like the real thing. The vegan sausage is perfect too. They also have great coffee. The restaurant is cozy and quiet and a nice place to relax. The staff is very knowledgeable and will steer you in the right direction. If you want a healthy satisfying meal that is vegan and gluten free, check it out.

I haven't had a decent cinnamon roll in years but I found this gluten free delicious place today! They have frozen options of cakes, cinnamon rolls, and a full bakery.

Three Cheese Grilled Cheese with kettle chips

Saw this bakery advertised on Facebook. I happened to be in the area for an appointment and they were conveniently across the street. Staff was very friendly and informative. Everything is gluten and dairy free. It's heaven for my stomach. I ordered the three cheese grilled cheese. It was made with their gf flat bread and cut in half. The cheese is vegan it was delicious and made me almost cry because I haven't had grilled cheese in so long. I also ordered a chai and added maple spice and oat milk. I also enjoyed the butter beer cupcake which is seasonal. It is a bit more pricey but that's because America charges more for healthy foods vs fake chemical filled food. Definitely worth it. Hopefully they open a location near the USF area at some point since this location is nearly 30 minutes from me with traffic. They said they should be getting delivery services soon. So here's hoping. Definitely would eat from again.

    Chocolate covered strawberry latte
    Rachel A.

This is our third visit here and I have to give them a well deserved review. The quality and service has been consistent every time, 10/10. My husband had the street tacos, which I had the last time we were here. They are packed full with flavour and filling. I tried the build your own bagel option today and was very pleased. The bagel has almost a biscuit-y texture, like a bagel/biscuit hybrid; I quite liked it. The sausage they use is thick and has a good spice to it. Not sure if homemade or store-bought but either way, it was very yummy and very reminiscent of a pork sausage. The drink and the donut, also incredible. I don't know how they managed to get the exact flavour of a chocolate covered strawberry in a latte but the did. Very happy with our choice. The cashier said the Nutella one is her favourite so we will have to try that next time. The Reese's donut is what you would expect from a Reese's donut with the peanut butter and chocolate, and the donut itself had a nice thick, cakey texture. Love HaleLife and will always be coming back.

    Alexa F.

THESE ARE SO GOOD OMG You would have never been able to tell they are vegan They are nice and soft, thick/dense cakey donuts, texture is amazing My favorites were the Cinnamon Toast Crunch and blueberry cheesecake ones Then lemon raspberry, cosmic brownie, and Oreo Icing on all was super delicious Fair pricing for how great they are and filling

Cosmic donut, Neapolitan cookie. Look pretty, taste a little lacking
    AJ S.

Used to get HaleLife all the time when I lived in Florida. I went to go to the their carrollwood location but it has since closed so I headed to the next closest one here in Tampa. I usually love their donuts so I was super excited to get my hands on some and share with family. Upon entering the location the case was just about empty (worker did say she had most of the items listed on the glass in the freezer if I wanted) unfortunately the family I brought wasn't even able to see what the options looked like bc none were in the case. She settled on the cosmic donut & cookie of the month Neapolitan . We were instructed to leave them on the counter for 15-20 min before Eating so no enjoying at the bakery as planned. Off we headed home after a few other stops. Upon tasting, the cosmic donut was very dry and crumbly not the fudge moist consistency as I remember. The monthly cookie didn't taste of the nostalgic ice cream flavor of its name- We could taste the cocoa in the base cookie cookie but the white frosting layer was very much a plain sugar frosting (no vanilla flavor) and the pink coating tasted just of a royal frosted sugar cookie shell. Was hoping for strawberry or almond flavors to be with the chocolate but notes fell flat. Idk if I will be back, and family didn't seem to be turned on as fans after the visit.

    Jenn L.

I found my new favorite vegan and gluten-free bakery! It was also voted the best bakery in the bay as well. They have 4 locations in South Tampa, downtown St Pete, Clearwater, and Carrollwood. The staff was super friendly and I love how they have samples for you to try as well! My favorite was the Samoa donut but it looks like it's only available this month. What I ordered: - Samoa Donut - Toast Yay Cookie - Oreo Cheesecake Donut - Strawberry Cheesecake Donut

The inside is a decent size with tables, cute decor and lots of plants. When I first walked in, I was taken back by how beautiful the pastry display cases were!! I had the hardest time choosing which pastry to get because they all looked like works of art!! Super friendly staff, great service but now to get to the goods: the coffee and pasties. This is a true authentic French bakery, no doubt in my mind. The iced salted caramel latte is the best I have EVER had. I could taste every flavor and it blended with the coffee perfectly. The ham and cheese croissant was so flakey, the perfect ham ratio and just all around fantastic. The pastry I got had raspberry jam and white chocolate ganache (I don't remember the name of it) and it was seriously the best pastry I've ever had. Most pastries can be too sweet, but this was just right. The jam tasted fresh and homemade (probably is!) and the white chocolate ganache gave it just a touch of sweetness. It is a little pricey so be warned: $48 for two coffees and two pastries. Definitely worth a splurge!!

The person behind the counter was very welcoming and even helped recommend pastries based on our palate preferences, which made the experience feel more personal and thoughtful. What I ordered: two pastries, the strawberry Japanese cheesecake and the goat cheese carrot cake. The strawberry Japanese cheesecake ($15) was a perfect balance of fruity freshness and caramelized richness with a creamy finish. It was not overly sweet and the fruit and cream notes really stood out in every bite. The goat cheese carrot cake ($16) was my favorite. I would go back just for this. It was moist, rich, and had a tangy goat cheese filling that created a very creamy, complex flavor profile. So delicious. The prices are on the steeper side but I love a baker who knows their worth. Totally worth it for the quality.

La Segunda is an institution for Cuban bread and pastries, baking 18K loaves daily and ships nationwide via Goldbelly. Our niece's BF is Cuban, and he said buy anything with guava. In the box (see photo), we bought two each of guava flip (kind of a folded tart or empanada), guava turnover, and guava flip with cream cheese. All of them are delicious! I like the flaky guava turnovers the most even though they didn't survive the transportation across the country in my backpack as well as some of the others. Even though slightly crumbly, still yummy! I also bought butter cookies, sold by the pound. Those are relatively ordinary; I'll skip those in the future. Next time, we are carrying Cuban sandwiches home! I really wish I carried them home. I was having Cuban sandwich withdrawal. This location is older but functional; there isn't seating. Their customers know what they want, and everything moves FAST. If it's your visit (like it was for us), I suggest looking at the menu online to know what to order. The service is friendly, even though I can tell he was a bit exasperated that I didn't just yell out my order and I asked questions. I honestly don't fault him. Busy places have their own pace, and the customers are the ones to keep up. That's perfectly ok.

Paris Baguette has EVERYTHING I love. Cake. Latte. Bread. Pastries. What more can a woman ask for???!!! I was already swooning over the photos and menu options seen on Yelp and Google, but TASTING is BELIEVING and now I'm so glad that I can say it's everything I hoped it would be. It's like a little piece of Paris right here in Tampa! (I've been). So I've come for cake, stayed for latte and quiche, and because why not, threw in the salad so that lunch and dinner is taken care of, too! Okay, first off...what I got. The quiche is light and airy, and is basically a croissant with quiche filling instead of a quiche slice. I love croissants, so this was a nice treat for me that I could hold in my hand. The Salted Caramel Latte I thought was pretty unique, because yes, there's a PRETZEL on top of it (which I plucked off and ate the first thing when I got it. Tasted rich and delicious, and was a great companion for my food. Now, usually I don't bat so much as an eye for a salad, but that Korean beef salad looked fresh and yummy, and it would definitely take care of dinner for the day because, why not, while I'm out? It was a decent size too, not too filling, with a good variety of veggies such as cukes, carrots, tomatoes, on top of mixed greens with Korean beef, which was the only heavy thing on the salad so you don't feel weighed down. It's great to know if you're watching your waist line or caloric intake, Paris Baguette has you covered with no problem as the nutrition facts are listed on the menu so you can make an informed choice. Of course, their cakes are so good, you wouldn't help but want to indulge. Which brings me to my final point. When I saw MOCHA CAKE on the menu, I thought, OMG I have to have it!!! It's EVERYTHING I could want and more and I must ask WHY ISN'T MOCHA CAKE MORE OF A THING NOW???? The sponge cake was light and airy like a coffee cloud as was the buttercream, not too sweet, rounding out my whole meal in nice elegant, finish. The shop itself is cute, but Muffin and I ate outside since the outside area is dog friendly. It reminds me of those open-air cafes in Europe, especially in Paris, elevating my lunch experience with my dog. The staff is super nice and welcoming on approach, too. It's a bit of a drive for me, but it's really not THAT bad depending on when I go and the business hours help, too. The tiramasu is really tasty and perfect to share among two of us. The cupcakes were delicious and the icing is pretty amazing...and different than we have had anywhere else. Fries were a good cut. Sauces were house made, what was it you ask - no idea. But don't care, they were great. Food was great. Just felt like I didn't fit in. Or maybe I just was not prepped/dressed to feel like I was in Mykonos on a cruise and that was the excursion for the day. Idk, good stuff overall.
