I'm all about finding a hidden gem in the neighborhood. I happened to spot Halbert Park on my way to HEB one day and decided to take the fam here after school. If you know anything about my family, I have a huge age gap from middle school to - Tiny Mitty Tot.
A few things a love about Halbert Park.
Parking is right in front, and easy to access. This is key when you are lugging around a bunch of kids and have things like *strollers, and getting everyone in and out of a carseat.
There is a COVERED basketball court. We all know why there needs to be a cover here in Houston. Rain or shine, basketball is a great activity for literally all ages. This was my main attraction my middle schoolers.
The playground equipment is newer and well maintained. There are swings for the little littles, as well as regular swings, big slides, and little slides. These are all so important for each developmental milestone.
Lastly there are tennis courts. I would LOVE to see pickleball in the future, but as for now they are set up for tennis. Will be back...
Will also get some pics next time! read more
