Looking for long beautiful, well paved biking or walking trails with water views, trees for light shade, well kept grass, fun up to date play grounds this is the spot. Very well kept location, soccer fields, loads of grassy areas for plenty to do whatever activity they like.

Nice park to indulge in outdoor activities. Pros: -Walking/ Running trails -Open fields for baseball/ soccer/ football/ random family activities -Outdoor exercise equipment -BBQ/ Picnic areas -Large designated dog park -Restrooms Cons: -The trails can be confusing the first tome around. It splits up in multiple places that takes you to a dead end. (This only matters if your trying to walk/ run for distance.) -There's not an unpaved trail option. (Only matters to those who prefers to walk/run on a softer surface)

Great park for biking or walking. Sometimes people walk their pets with no leashes which can be extremely annoying. Also some pet owners don't pick up after their dogs. So watch your step. Other than that a great place to walk run or bike. Great way to see nature up close and personal. I've seen squirrels, deer, snakes, turtles, ducks, swamp rats lol Really good for biking as well. When the temps get cooler I really enjoy biking there. Great to get some cardio done while enjoying nature. Highly recommended this park if you are in the area. Gets packed. Also don't leave valuables in your car. I have heard of break ins. Other than that this is one of my fave parks to get cardio in.

My favorite park. I was looking for a large spacious park to ride bikes. This was truly what I was looking for. So clean and the trails were wide enough to rides bikes on and it had different entrances you can start from. It wasn't too crowded, plenty of trees for shade and was very peaceful. I loved the officer on site as well.

Branches of trees come over soccer fields. It does not allow good videography of games in most of the fields. People managing these fields should trim those branches. Unacceptable

This park is the best in Spring. A little something for everyone. A tots play area with benches for the parents to watch. Soccer fields. Trails for biking. You can use rollerblades as well. Lots of picnic benches. Trash cans all through out the park. Plenty parking space except on Soccer game days. Restrooms too. If you want to grill, the park has you covered. Very clean too. You can bring you pet on a leash too. You can fish and feed the turtles if wish to do so. Highly recommended you try this park out.

Wow! Really great park. I always went to Cypress Park for a nice morning or evening run, but now I'm going to Meyer Park. I've come here twice now and today was when I was able to see what more they have to offer. This park has plenty of parking, is off both left and right sides of the street on Cypresswood and is great for bikers, families, gatherings, and dogs. On one side of the park, there's a huge dog park which looks like so much fun for the furry friends and also contains a lot of shade on the trail. On the other side, there are two ponds that you can walk around and hang out near. In the smaller pond, I saw 5 capybaras (nutria rats) which is the most I've ever seen in one sitting! There's plenty of turtles and we came across many nature trails, which I plan to do one day. Heading to the larger pond, it feels like you're back in summer camp. Nice, nostalgic feeling out in nature. This park has so much to explore and is in a great location!

Meyer Park isn' the grandest of parks, but it's free admission and pretty darn magnificent for its size. This is where I come to de-clutter my mind and relieve stress. At times I find myself daydreaming that I'm in another world. I like to jog on quieter trails, especially during the evenings. It's humbling and breathtaking to never have the same scenery painted twice.

Nice place, it's good to see that there are nice families in the community. There's a cute group of geese that walk around. Many cute dogs and puppies being walked. There are two sides to the park, one with playgrounds, the pond (with geese, ducks, and nutrias), and the nature trail, this side has a lot of people/families. The other side (across the street) is quieter, has less people (though the joggers seem more serious), the trail features little activities along the way (like balance beams, pull up bars, monkey bars, etc). I enjoy the quiet side if I'm just jogging, but when I take my dog I like the busy side, because he gets to see more people and other animals (plus he'll get more compliments :P). The only thing I don't like, though I'm not too bothered about it, is that the path has many cracks in the pavement from roots growing in, so watch where you step.

A little hidden stream you can find if you walk at Meyer Park

Definitely wear tennis shoes or closed toe shoes here. The trails are a good mixture of dirt and then some parts are cement. Nice fishing spot as well. Catch and release only. Be careful letting smaller kids near the pond. I have seen a kid slip and fall in. He was okay and got out, but after seeing that I keep an extra eye on my kids if we want to get close to the pond. They have a sand volleyball court. Lots of walking trails. Even behind the trees where a retention pond is. They have covered pavilions with picnic tables and bbq pits. Also love that the playground is covered and kids can play in the shade. That's a MUST for Texas parks!

FYI: the trail is paved and stroller accessible. On the way back, we took another trail which was dirt and had no issue taking the stroller on that as well. Nice playground for kids. There are bathrooms just past the playground. I initially thought they were closed because the gate had the lock still on it (in a locked position) but luckily, someone advised me that they were actually open. So, don't go by appearances and actually tug on the door! There are two relatively small parking lots that fill up quickly but there is also street parking available.

Been here so long ago for a walk and didn't know there was an actual center for visitors to walk in and it's free to explore. My first family visit here, we went on a walk around the trails, where we saw wild blue berry bushes and lots of turtles In the pond. We took some amazing photos. Then I kept telling people about the trails and the ponds and my nature experience. Some days I'd go here and just sit for a while listening to the sounds of the wild. Then one day I went just me and my daughter and saw parents and there kids going and coming from the building and I decided to go see what's there. It was the best idea ever. For the hot days it's so nice to be in nature but still indoors and learn about cool rocks animals and even see and real insects and animals. My daughter loves this place just as much as I do. Great for homeschoolers who wants to learn about science. There are all different types of insects you can view under microscope and some to see in real life, there is a reading nook, building blocks to resemble habitats, aquatic animals and birds. There's also some reptiles that I love to take pics of. It's like a hidden gem. So much to explore, even if you can't make it in time for the nature center which closes at 4pm Tuesday to Saturdays, you can walk or bike around the ponds and see the trail maps for different routes. There is also a kids park.
