Very nice resource to the public and along the well paved Spring Creek Greenway trail. Definitely a hidden gem.

This is a great park with 8 mile long or under trails, that are great for all ages. Plenty of parking from entrance to right outside the nature center itself. We have yet to visit it as our trips often are with the goal to soak up all the vitamin D we can. Bluegill trail is the closest trail from the playground and parking lot that loops around Bluegill pond. Out the gate they have a small dock that lay way a good view of the pond you are about to loop around. Pond has tons of life to see from water fowl, turtles, and frogs. Trails are well maintained and while on Bluegill we encountered 3 other trail marker entrances. I'd definitely say pack the bug spray. Fishing at bluegill is catch and release only and requires a fishing license. There are tons of completed Eagle Scout projects throughout the park that are fun to admire; from work benches to seating areas. The new play area is a wooden construction with a fort like theme with lots of energy consuming climbing activities. Definitely hope to come enjoy more of this park now that the weather is cooperating.

Doesn't look like anything when driving by, plus this place is difficult to spot if you're going the speed. You will more than likely miss your turn. Came across this park by pure accident. This park is huge only had the time to venture out on one trail. Next time I come I'll more than likely get a bike. If your looking for some great scenery for pictures this is the place to be. I was able to get some great images of the many small details of the park during my short time here. I definitely plan on coming back Fishing is allowed here too if you into that.

Beautiful natural area in south Montgomery County. Great for social distancing walks with your best four legged friend.

Some days I'd go here and just sit for a while listening to the sounds of the wild.

Definitely wear tennis shoes or closed toe shoes here. The trails are a good mixture of dirt and then some parts are cement. Nice fishing spot as well. Catch and release only. Be careful letting smaller kids near the pond. I have seen a kid slip and fall in. He was okay and got out, but after seeing that I keep an extra eye on my kids if we want to get close to the pond. They have a sand volleyball court. Lots of walking trails. Even behind the trees where a retention pond is. They have covered pavilions with picnic tables and bbq pits. Also love that the playground is covered and kids can play in the shade. That's a MUST for Texas parks!

Super impressed by this park!…read more They've done a really great job with adding beautiful manmade waterfalls and such. The walking trail is very pleasant. FYI: the trail is paved and stroller accessible. On the way back, we took another trail which was dirt and had no issue taking the stroller on that as well. Nice playground for kids. There are bathrooms just past the playground. I initially thought they were closed because the gate had the lock still on it (in a locked position) but luckily, someone advised me that they were actually open. So, don't go by appearances and actually tug on the door! There are two relatively small parking lots that fill up quickly but there is also street parking available.

Now, that was a pleasant surprise for Lulu and me last Saturday. We stayed sitting at one of the tables, watching the games. But there's more here; it's a children's playground, several trails throughout the wooded areas, and the paths are cleared of debris. It's a really clean park, the tables aren't stained. There are plenty of garbage cans throughout. It's plenty of parking; even on Saturday, when the park was packed, we still got a place. I like that the big trees block out more of the sun, giving Lulu more time to enjoy her walks and being nosy. As you can see in the picture, there's a little bookhouse, and I bought some books the other day to drop off. That's the least I can do, my way of apologizing to the ducks and turtles for Lulu barking and wagging her tail at them.

I was hiking alone on a trail once in 2023 and a light green snake rose from the ground and intensely stared at me. This snake was taller than me and I'm 5'6 for reference. The specific trail I was on was connected to the playgrounds. This was a terrifying and honestly traumatic experience; but I wanted to share my experience as a warning because I know lots of people bring their kids and pets there. Please be safe if you choose to go; but no matter how beautiful it is I can't recommend due to safety issues concerning the wilderness. I only walked away from the snake incident unscathed by the grace of God.
