Delbar - A delightful dining experience (8.5/10)…read more Delbar was such a great experience! We had a 7:15 PM reservation but arrived around 6:45 PM and were seated right away. The ambiance is beautiful, making it a great spot for date night or an adult night out. They are also family-friendly and welcome children. Our server, Kennedy, was fantastic! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and shared that she first fell in love with Delbar after visiting with a girlfriend. I love hearing that kind of genuine enthusiasm from someone who works there. We took her recommendations, and she did not disappoint! We started with the wings and one of their dips. Those dips were OUT OF THIS WORLD! I was surprised to learn they were yogurt-based rather than cheese-based. So creamy and flavorful! For our mains, we ordered the lamb and steak. The lamb was giving more soup than stew, which I wasn't particularly fond of, but the steak was tender and flavorful. We paired everything with their raisin rice (!!), which was SO delicious. Unfortunately, dessert was where things took a turn. I LOVE baklava, but this one missed the mark. It was very dry, lacked that thick, gooey, syrupy texture and practically fell apart when cut into. The rose flavor was also extremely overpowering. I took one bite and knew it wasn't for me. Definitely not my kind of baklava! One thoughtful detail worth mentioning: the unisex bathrooms have wicker baby bassinets for changing little ones. A nice touch for parents dining with babies! Overall: 8.5/10. Between the ambiance, service and delicious food, Delbar delivered a lovely experience. The dips and raisin rice were standouts! The dessert is the only reason I'm not giving it a higher rating. Definitely worth visiting for date night or an evening out with friends.

Absolutely worth every bit of hype and way above my high expectations. Atlanta has been graced by…read morean elite-level sandwich spot. I'll put it right there with Fred's. The owner told me someone once said Atlanta isn't a sandwich city, which is baffling. We are! It's just that no one wants to open a good sandwich spot. Featuring outdoor seating only, this is a charming spot right in the middle of a neighborhood intersection. We ordered at the window and ate out on their patio. The owner is a true gentleman--I'm so glad we got to meet him! He paired my sandwich with a nice pineapple Jarritos and suggested we try his homemade pasta salad. Y'all, this sandwich was on another level. We got the Jack's Fish Market, and it was freshly made and uniquely good. I can't say I have ever had a sub quite like it. It's going right up there with the Korean cheesesteak from Fred's and Hattie B's hot chicken sandwich as one of my favorite ATL sandwiches. I split it alongside the pasta salad, and that was more than enough food. Bottom line: if you live in ATL and haven't been here yet, shame on you. It's a very casual spot with unique flair, a great owner, and mind-bending food. Can't wait to go back!

If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go check out Hudson and Alphonse Deli…read more I had to come on here and give a major shoutout to Sammy, the cook and founder. From the moment I called in, his customer service was top tier. Professional, warm, and intentional. He made sure my order was right, sent a quick payment link so things moved efficiently, and had everything ready by the time I arrived. That's how you run a business. When I pulled up, he greeted me with a smile, brought my food out, and confidently told me I was going to enjoy it and he was absolutely right. I originally planned to grab my food and go, but his energy made me slow down, sit, pray, and actually enjoy the moment. I asked for a lime Jarritos, and he recommended pineapple instead to pair with the jerk seasoned wild caught salmon sandwich. That recommendation was on point and really elevated the whole experience. That sandwich hits. Every bite pops with flavor across your entire palate. The salmon was perfectly cooked, juicy but not soggy. The kale had the right crunch. The onions tied everything together. And that homemade garlic butter on the salmon took it to another level. It's a creative spin on a traditional cheesesteak. I'm sure the beef options are great too, but if you want seafood, this is the move. I've had a Philly cheesesteak in Philly before, and honestly, I don't need to go back. When I'm in Atlanta, I'm coming here. Sammy, thank you for the hospitality and the intentionality behind what you do. You didn't just serve food, you created an experience. Thank you for praying with me. I will definitely be back.

He was craving Indonesian food because…read morewe've been back from Bali for over 3 months now and miss the flavors and since we've never been here before, we were excited. This took over the Bun Factory (?) location. Hopefully this restaurant does well. The lot is quite and therefore parking will never be an issue. We were here early there were 2 other tables already eating. While we were shoveling our delicious food, 3 other groups came in. The hubby had nasi padang - beef rendang, curried chicken, sambal egg and collard for the fusion on rice (nasi) and 2 other types of sambal to accompany your proteins. I tried the chicken, I loved the flavour, it was tender and moist. I didn't try the rendang and therefore can't comment. My husband liked it. The sambal egg was delicious he said. I ordered the tilapia goreng (fried tilapia). If like me you love fish, this is a treat. The entire tilapia was deep fried, not oily and so crispy, I could eat everything. The fish was accompanied by a serving of rice, a few slices of tomatoes and a few slices of cucumber. So fresh. Also a sambal (of a different kind) from what we already have on our plate. I requested for sambal hijau (green sambal) to go with my fish. So good. Perfectly seasoned fish, no fishy smell. Between us, we shared a chendol, green noodlely things in coconut milk and gula melaka (palm sugar). It's a cold dessert, mildly sweet and fragrant because of the coconut milk. Try it on a hot summer's day. Very refreshing. On Friday and Saturday, they have a AYCE Indonesian fare buffet for $25. Taxes not included yet. But I'm going to say it's going to be great just judging by the food we had today. BTW, the chef Ibu herself is an Indonesia cuisine trained cook. So you know.....

After asking some questions about the menu (to which Mohammed responded happily and patiently), I ordered the Nasi Godeg looking for a hearty veggie dish and boy was I not disappointed. Amazing flavors, portion size, and excellent customer service. They also have a small market and a section for clothing. This place is definitely a new fav. Give it a try!
