    Fried Fish Over Rice
    Angela K.

Ordered the fried fish rice platter. This place tastes like halal guys but better. The white sauce and green chimichurri sauce paired so well with the fried fish. There was no fishyness at all and the lettuce with sauce was so fresh. They had bogo deal so 2 rice platters came to $25 and delivery was very fast. The amount of food given was a lot.

Ordered a BOGO rice platter and 4 falafels via Uber Eats. The amount of food was amazing- I have a big appetite and one platter left me stuffed. I enjoyed the white sauce but was a bit disappointed that they didn't include the green sauce or hot sauce. The rice, chicken, and salad were all tasty- would definitely order again. The falafel was a tad dry but decent flavor. I bet some hummus or tahini topping would add a bunch to the falafel. Will order again

rice platter is $14 but the "BOGO" rice platter is $22

The regular rice platter is about $14, and they have a BOGO rice platter for $22. That's very shady.

I ordered through DoorDash for pick up. They had a BOGO on some of their menu items so I ordered the salad platter with lamb - $16.99/2 and 6pcs of falafel - $4.50. The lamb is processed and a bit salty. They are very generous with the meat. It was on a bed of lettuce with diced tomatoes and cucumber. The tomatoes and cucumber were diced really small. I had it topped with the white and green sauce and it came heavily sauced. If you wanted to eat it later, ask for the sauce on the side. The falafel was ok. I had to air fry them to crisp them up a bit as they were steaming in the to go box. It came with a sauce as well. Next time I'll try the chicken. They also have fried fish.

Very excited to have a halal chicken over rice spot in SF, something the city has been sorely lacking! The halal city platters are generous and well seasoned. I got the combo platter that comes with both chicken and gyro over rice and lettuce, all drizzled with their white sauce. They forgot the red sauce on my order but it was still pretty good. The chicken was great, I found the gyro a little too fatty but I'm sure others may like that. I'll definitely be a regular here. This is a commercial kitchen set up so fine in! A few restaurants operating out of the shared space so you pickup from the lockers.

Food was yum! Get it if you're craving halal food. Also the quantity was really good.

Living la Vida Loca…read more.. It's always a good day when tacos are involved, and even a better day when they are absolutely delicious! La Vaca Birria is counter service- you order at the counter, you pick up your food at the counter. The menu is fairly simple, and who needs overly extensive when what you're ordering is hitting a 10 out of 10 in taste and flavor ?!? Working backwards, the Horchata is delicious! I often find that when I order Horchata at different restaurants, it's either been watered down, or somethings going on with it where it's locking the fullness in flavor. Chips- house made. Perfectly crunchy, definitely tasty, could have used salt or some seasoning. I still enjoyed them. I ordered three birria tacos with consommé. ( combo #4) with the plan being that I would enjoy one and have the other two later on. These were so good, that I finished all three. The meat is tender, flavorful, and the overall flavor profile super tasty. The consommé did exactly what it was supposed to do and added a layer of flavor to the tacos. I found that that's not always the case, but this was definitely the exception. The tacos were fairly light on the filling, which is why I was able to finish all three. The added bonus is the house made churro that comes in the combo. Who doesn't like a tasty churro? Services nonexistence since it's a counter situation. Are you getting the biggest bang for your buck here? No, not really. It's pretty pricey for the offerings. The meal cost pretty close to $30. Definitely not cheap eats. Go for the deliciousness!

The baba ghanoush was absolutely fire, and the shakshuka was packed with flavor. The chicken plate was solid, the kebab plates were incredibly juicy, and the glazed braised lamb was completely off the hook. For dessert, the muhalabia was the perfect finish, and the grilled hanger steak is an absolute must-order. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We shared one breakfast platter, and it was more than enough for us. The restaurant itself is also beautiful, with a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy your meal. The biggest disappointment was the Turkish coffee. I had been telling my husband how amazing authentic Turkish coffee can be because I had previously visited a Turkish café in San Mateo where the coffee was served in a traditional pot alongside Turkish delights, allowing you to refill your small cup. I expected something similar here. Instead, we each received only a tiny cup for around $5, which felt more like ordering a small espresso. It wasn't bad, but it definitely didn't live up to our expectations. The service was another area that could be improved. We arrived early and were ready to order, but we waited quite a while before anyone came to our table. During that time, I noticed another table that had arrived after us was greeted, had their order taken, and thus received their food before we were served. That was a little frustrating. One small inconvenience is that there is only one restroom for the restaurant. Despite those issues, the food was excellent, and that's what matters most. We would absolutely come back for the Turkish breakfast because it was truly delicious. Overall, I'd give this place 4 out of 5 stars. With a little improvement in service and a more memorable Turkish coffee experience, it would easily be a 5-star restaurant.

Parking for this location was very difficult, especially when you visit on a busy day. The atmosphere is moody and dark which is perfect for a date night. I ordered - Burma Chicken Mint - Nan Pia Dok - Tea leaf salad We started off with the tea salad since it was highly suggested by our waiter. I love the amount of toppings they add onto the salad and having it served table side is even better. For the salad, it was more savory and the flavor was light which helped bring out the salad more; which is a positive. The Nan Pia Dok noodles were also served table side and honestly, this was good but not quite extraordinary. Eventually halfway, the noodles lost its flavor and just felt like stir fried noodles with toppings. This was also more of a savory dish. The Burma Chicken Mint dish was also somewhat delicious but fell short towards the end as it tasted exactly what it looks like. It's not bad but does get boring fast. If you love spicy food then I highly recommend getting this; otherwise it's not really for me. The service is honestly top notch, can't really complain when the person serving you the salad is extremely friendly which breaks the awkward silence every now and then. Overall, I would definitely come back to try some of the other dishes as I'm venturing into newer territory, and honestly that's okay. The service and food was decent enough for me to give it another chance. The salad was honestly the best thing to get here.

And the chicken meat inside didn't seem marinated and tasted bland. It probably would be better if they added lemon juice after it was cooked or had given us some lemons to squeeze over the chicken before we dug in. 3.5/5 MANGO HABANERO CHICKEN WINGS ~ the sauce was spicy and tangy sweet, but it doesn't seem like they marinate their wings. It's only the sauce that gives the chicken flavor. 3.5/5 The wings aren't at all crispy. And flavor was ok and could have been better. But what was off-putting was the smell of the wings after we boxed it up and took it home! It had this gamey chicken smell as if it was old chicken. At least none of us got sick, but I'll think twice about revisiting.
