Delicious! Fast service. Perfect sized rolls and generous with roe. Will definitely return.

Still the best sushi in the far NW burbs - 4 stars. Wow, it's been 9 years since I ate at Hajime! I've been on a sushi binge lately so I stopped in again...and then again a second day in a row...to satisfy my sushi cravings. The food is great, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable. (The photos really say it all.) I'd go back again any time. Thanks, Hajime! -Maxx

Chefs choice selection sushi with 5 types of caviar!

5 different types of caviar.... WHAT!!?? Un heard of!! I have never been so impressed with a sushi restaurant since Little Tokyo in Los Angeles. Absolutely top notch and anyone and I mean anyone that goes here better appreciate the amount of flavors, work, and quality put into this amazing food. Emily our server was so amazing. She was fun and joyful and made our experience even better! Do not look over the chefs choice sushi! My goodness !!! Top notch! We will be coming here again and again! So delightful and delicious!

This is our regular local sushi place. Always fresh, delicious and great happy hour specials. They really need to upgrade the chairs and tables. The service is great and very friendly.

I love this place. The sushi is excellent and fresh. The staff is so friendly. Parking is hard to find sometimes but it's worth finding a place for this sushi! Bring a friend and order several rolls and enjoy!

Sushi Rolls (Hawaiian, Anchor's Tattoo, Devil)

Tried a little bit of everything on our stop in... the best item on the menu was the fried rice with yum yum sauce. While that was actually a surprise, it's also not a good thing. The potstickers were alright, but hard to mess up anywhere. When it came to sushi though, it was extremely mediocre. I'd say the best roll we tried was the Hawaiian and it was probably a 3-out-of-5. If you're dying for sushi; it's better than nothing. But there are much better options out there!

Note how beautifully packed the sushi is in a to-go container!

The fact that I live so close to this restaurant is both exciting and scary (for my wallet). I've both dined and out of this restaurant many times. I've always had an impeccable experience at Hajime! They have great happy hour deals, especially for sushi! The ambiance feels like you're in a cool club, with strobe lights and music bumping. My Top Three Choices Are: *Sweet Potato Roll: I ordered this and had no idea what to expect. I love the crunch, the sweet potato, and the sauce. Just a delicious combo in a roll! *Tuna Avocado Roll: Just how it sounds, but always so good! The tuna is always fresh *Avocado Roll: Again, just how it sounds, but never fails to disappoint!

I ended up here from. Recommendation & am super glad we went! It was late night Happy Hour & they had a ton of deals on rolls & drinks! I had a saketini & hot sake which I enjoyed both. The Saketini was in the sweeter side. We went big & got a bunch of rolls, edamame, & a few sashimi's. The sushi was really solid! We definitely want to go back! I was told that the Blaine location is also great! -- Rolls: Devil Roll - Deep fried freshest fish, cream cheese roll, topped with special chili sauce and chopped jalapeno. North Shore Roll - Tuna, avocado, fresh salmon, caviar, seaweed salad, crunchy, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. Superior Roll - Pepper tuna, avocado, wrapped around spicy tuna, kari, crunch with honey wasabi sauce on top. Crazy Tuna Roll - Deep fried spicy tuna avocado, tobiko & topped with special sauce. No 9 Roll - Fresh Salmon, avocado wrapped around shrimp tempura, cucumber with tobiko & spicy mayo Sashimi: 2 - octopus 2- White Tuna 2 Salmon The sushi was really solid! We definitely want to go back! I was told that the Blaine location is also great

Elk River is lucky to have this place. Hands down the best sushi I've ever had. The Hajime roll is the bomb.

We had the whole space to ourselves, as the café was empty. Everyone was taking their orders to go. It's the best old-fashioned doughnut I've ever had, and my mother-in-law said her apple fritter was delicious. Both of my kids chose the Oreo specialty donuts, and neither of them could finish because they were on the very sweet side. But they had leftovers for after school! I'll be stopping in soon to pick up a dozen to bring to work with me. So glad they are in the neighborhood!

Despite the demand and weekend rush for these donuts, there are always plenty of options for everyone, whether you're a fan of classic, no-frills options or dessert-style, specialty creations. I love that they offer appetizing vegan and gluten-free options! My kids were absolutely over the moon for these treats, and even I--someone who doesn't usually go wild for donuts--couldn't help but appreciate the freshness of the dough and the perfect glaze on the jelly-filled varieties I tried. The jelly hit the sweet-and-tart balance just right, making each bite delightfully satisfying. The shop itself is cozy and inviting, with plenty of indoor seating if you want to enjoy your donuts on-site. It's the kind of place where you can linger, sip your coffee, and savor each bite without feeling rushed. Uffda Donuts makes it easy to see why they've got a loyal following: quality, care, and a little bit of magic in every donut. Go early, go hungry, and prepare to leave with a smile (and maybe a sugar rush).

The pastries are consistently soft, flavorful, and not overly sweet, which I really appreciate. Their cakes are also top-tier--light, fresh, and perfect for any occasion. The drinks are just as good. Whether it's coffee or something more specialty, everything tastes well-made and balanced. Service has always been friendly and efficient, even when it gets busy. What really stands out is the consistency--you know exactly what you're going to get every time, and it never disappoints. Great place to grab a quick bite, meet with friends, or just treat yourself. Highly recommend.

When you first walk in grab a tray to your right and some paper squares to pick up items. There are pastries both forward to the left as well as to the right. Also don't miss the cakes to the left of the check out counter. My favorite thing to grab is the fruit tart! I usually pick up a coffee to eat with my pastry. In terms of service I do say the staff is busy and does not interact as much as I like but the food makes up for it. The atmosphere inside does vary. As it is a busy coffee shop on weekends but week days and early morning weekends is a quiet place to have a coffee and read the paper.

We had a grumpy toddler and a spill but the staff seemed completely unfazed and attentive. I didn't ask for more napkins but they appeared, I didn't ask for coloring books but they showed up, and when you're a mom a bit anxious about being out with your children an attentive and kind staff makes a huge difference between a good night and rough night. The food was great, the kids burgers were way larger than I expected, my French chicken (?) was delicious. The burger my husband ordered was certainly made from fresh ingredients, maybe a bit more bland than he expected but that's the only complaint and it won't stop us from coming back for a date night in the future. I also tried the Snickerdoodle holiday cocktail and loved it. To add even more sweet holiday cheer to this review the hostess let my boys pick from a selection of presents under their tree and when my 7 year old got a Barbie (not his style) she told him he could pick another. He got slime and I'm suffering the consequences but still grateful for the Christmas spirit and wonderful time the staff gave us!

Although it's a bit of a hike outside the city, still not too bad on a weekday and it was nice to get out and try something new! It seems like an up and coming area for Monticello and development nearby. We came right at 5 when the restaurant opens and got a seat in the high tops. NOTE! If you want to partake in the happy hour, you have to either sit at the bar or in the high top tables. We didn't know this and wanted their chicken wings on the happy hour menu so ended up switching tables. In addition to the wings, my husband ordered the corn bread app which was pretty good too! Wasn't a huge fan of the spicy butter it came with, but strange but the bread itself was good. The wings had a good seasoning and the house made ranch was really tasty! Surprised there were only wings and no drumsticks which I prefer and the wings themselves didn't have a whole ton of meat on them so I'd give it 3/5 on the apps I ordered the 12oz New York strip and at market price it was $62, came with broccolini and French fries. My husband got the turkey burger which he wasn't a huge fan of he said but he enjoyed the fries. My New York strip wasn't seasoned well - if at all to be honest but thankfully they had some leftover A1 from Mother's Day brunch where the bartender made some bloody Mary's so that helped. Can't say the food was a knockout but the service was really good. The bartender who was our server was conversational, great dude, and offered great suggestions. Host and folks were also really accommodating when we hopped around the restaurant so we could participate in the HH. All in all, great experience and nice place to try!
