Your receptionist and Kristina were gracious enough to squeeze me in last minute as a walk-in. After showing her a picture of the vibe I was going for, she proceeded with precision and intention, using scissors masterfully where others would've used clippers, point cuts as opposed to shears, but most importantly made the minutes feel feel luxuriously longer, the styling bespoke, and cutated a creatively current cut for a happy man who upon leaving, looked ten years younger on his 50th birthday. 50 is the new 40, and Hawthorn has a new, grateful and loyal client. I finally found MY salon!!! ‍ Now, fair warning: I'm a little bit of a salon snob. (Okay, maybe more than a little ) But in my defense, I literally named my first daughter after my former stylist, so when I find "the one," I'm loyal for life. And for the record... she moved away first, so let's not throw around the word hypocrite Here's my personal salon checklist: Fun area where I can wander before/after A funky, welcoming vibe inside A stylist who knows their stuff and is super friendly AMAZING products And of course... FABULOUS results And guess what? This place checked EVERY. SINGLE. BOX. Shoutout to Zoey she absolutely nailed it! My hair looks incredible, I felt totally taken care of, and the whole experience was just FUN. Located in the Five Points area, so parking can be a hassle arriving early at busy times suggested!

My stylist is from NYC and asked me specific questions about what kind of highlights I wanted, where I wanted them and whether I normally opted for toner. Still waiting to see the outcome. Slightly awkwardly waiting in the reception area while she juggles another client. Slightly disappointed at the lack of mindless magazines - No Self, Seventeen, Vogue or Glamour. Fortunately, there was Harpers Bazaar so I could catch up on Paris Hilton's latest. I did the face framing height lights - 8 foils but I think she gave me a few extra. Saved around $60 by skipping toner and a blow dry. Asked for thick highlights, and they looked a bit skinned but the stylist showed me how they were actually thick. She was right. She didn't show me my hair automatically at the end. I had to ask, but I did like what I saw.

My first time visiting and I showed Chris what I was looking for - I wanted to grow my hair out a bit and he helped start me on the journey. I have followed her from the previous salon because she's someone who really masters her craft. She listens to what I want but always has a helpful suggestion that I always end up grateful for. With someone as indecisive as myself she makes it easy to achieve the look and feel I want but cannot always express so simply. Whether I'm in for a simple trim or a complete transformation including length and color, she makes sure I leave happy and with increased knowledge as to what products she recommends and how to style and keep my locks healthy and looking fabulous. It's always been a challenge to maintain my hair as it's so easy to whip out the old faithful bun routine, but with her help I now love getting into her chair and have had fun experimenting with different hairstyles and techniques utilizing her guidance and expertise. I've recommended her to my friends and family, and those who have taken my word left the salon more than satisfied with the results. As long as Ashley remains in Jax, I shall be her faithful client! Thank you Ash for teaching me that hair care doesn't have to be daunting and stressful and for making every visit not only a fun one full of laughs but also a learning experience!! I will be sure to continue recommending you specifically to anyone looking for a hair stylist. As for the salon itself, the staff is friendly and helpful and the coffee they serve definitely gets me through those morning appointments I definitely appreciate. From what I have seen, there's talent in the salon with varying styles and techniques but the outcomes make for happy comfortable clients.

For the last 6 months I tried different home remedies and nothing was working. My hair was dry and curl at the top was just not doing anything. That's when I decided to look on Yelp and see what others have been saying about local salons. This brought me here to FRS, Veronica the owner was very responsive through Yelp messaging and suggested glossing with some curl treatments. After reading the existing reviews I decided to give it a try. Veronica had an opening for today with a stylist that I remember reading good reviews on. An hour later I met with Sandy. She took the time to ask me about my hair and evaluate my needs and my hairs needs. After protein treatments and drying I am happy to report I have some curl revived. I don't expect to leave with my healthy curly hair but I left with hair that I believe is the beginning stages of restoration and rejuvenation. I decided to buy the product line they used to continue the curl treatments. After about a month of use I will be sure to provide another update as to the results. Thank you Sandy for a really great experience. Sometimes we overthink going to new places and trusting new people but you made this experience an enjoyable one and I will be back soon.
