At Plush, if you tell them that you want a Vava Voom or a Pin-Up or a regular blow, the response is always the same: "Ok." ESPECIALLY when I call them a month in advance to book a "blow dry". If these people want repeat, GOOD business, they'd better cut the attitude and explain the nuances of their services a little better. She was a few minutes late into my appt, which was fine, since I wasn't in a hurry at that time. Asja is very friendly and personable. At one point before she started cutting my hair, she asked me a question and I didn't understand what she said (she speaks w/a very strong accent). She picked up a razor and asked if it was okay if she used it to cut my hair. I said sure, why not? As I was waiting to pay, I just so happened to confirmed the price of my haircut - and that's when I found out that w/her utilizing a razor, they charge an additional $10! I told the receptionist that I had no idea that it cost more! She said, "oh, well, then we'll just charge you $5." I really don't understand why they would charge more for this and can't justify the extra cost since all she did was use a different tool and honestly, it seemed much easier for her to use rather than a pair of scissors (which she did use, as well). I was completely put off by this. If you're going to offer a certain type of service but not tell the customer that's an additional fee, that's just shady. It's a shame, because while I think she did a good job cutting my hair, I don't care for people not being completely transparent with me.

APPOINTMENT ONLY. If you are a first timer, you will get texted to review and accept their Covid policy. In the text you will also get direction for parking in which they will direct you to a parking lot located behind the salon (pay by the hours). Upon arrival, you will get your hands sanitized and temperature checked. Instead of vinyl apron they will provide you with a disposable, clear rain coat to wear over your clothes for the haircut. My hair stylist is Hiroshi and I plan on requesting him whenever I need a cut. I love his hair cutting technique and precision. He has also colored my hair from a light bleached yellowish red to dark brown (almost black), just in time for the colder season.
