Quarantine had me wanting to make a drastic change... I had not colored my hair in a decade but decided I should do some bayalage for the summer. It was my first time coming to Glambar and found it via Yelp. Luckily they were able to get me an appointment within a week of them reopening. Joelle was my stylist but all the staff here are super friendly. I had to wear a mask per CDC guidelines as did everyone else but it did not take away from the experience. Glambar is the best, I love it. I made the switch last year and my hair has looked better ever since. I go to Jules for color and Gianna for cuts - they are both very talented and I have respect for their professional skills and opinions. I have had blowouts from all staffers and they are all great. At this point, I have done color, cuts, blowouts, curls and makeup here and always been happy. Most recently, I was sitting in a chair when I realized that I needed a last minute bouquet and boutonniere for a wedding. Gianna started texting on her phone and had it sorted out in 5 minutes flat! I found glambar during COVID because they were the only reasonably priced salon for brides! I had to find hair and makeup only two weeks before my wedding day since my previous salon had decided to up-charge me due to covid changes and they were incredibly helpful. I called to have a trial and Danielle did my makeup and Gianna did my hair. I couldn't have been happier, that was last September and now I've continued to go every few months to have Gianna cut my hair. The owner is very nice n sweet but one of the girls at the desk blonde hair (they alternate as desk & assistant) gave me the worst shampoo of my life. Literally 2 mins long didnt shampoo twice, nothing. Just horrible. I already came in with wet hair but being it was my first time i wanted the experience and squeaky clean hair bc it gets greasy. The girl that styled my hair did an awesome job and surprisingly the curls lasted a few days (i guess since my hair was dirty from the wash lol) my cut was ok, the lines weren't straight when i washed n styled my hair myself at home so I fixed my bangs to make em even n thick as i wanted on myself and called it a day. I understand i have thick hair and it can be intimidating. The owner made my experience pleasant so I wasn't mad at the price or lack of service. I would probably just come back for a blowdry bc i loved it so much. read more

GlamBar is the best!! Not only are all of the girls extremely talented, they're also sweet, kind and fun to be around. Gianna, Danielle, and Sade did the makeup and hair for me and my bridesmaids on my wedding day. They went above and beyond. They were there all day with us helping us, not only with hair/makeup, but helping us get dressed and organized. Sade did my makeup which was amazing and stayed perfect ALL night. I don't even remember having to touch it up once. Danielle did the bridesmaids' makeup which they loved! Gianna did everyone's hair...she's so talented and makes it look so easy.
