I spent almost $500, and I left with my hair looking damaged, dry, and unhealthy. My highlights are also several different colors, and many pieces of my hair have broken off. I completely understand that bleaching comes with risks and can cause damage to any type of hair. However, I felt that my stylist was extremely busy and was working with multiple clients at the same time. Throughout my appointment, I was moved to different chairs and was sometimes only checked on after she finished applying color to another client. I don't necessarily blame the stylist, because it seemed like she was being stretched between too many clients at once. However, considering the amount of money I spent, I expected much more attention to my hair and a better overall result. I have since gone to another salon to have my hair corrected as much as possible. Unfortunately, because of the amount of damage and breakage, I was advised that I need to wait at least a month before they can safely do anything further with my hair. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the experience and the condition my hair was left in, especially after spending nearly $500.

She is THE BEST hairdresser I've ever gone to and I've been to so many. As a blonde, it's really hard to find someone that knows what they're doing and will not damage your processed hair. She really knows what she's doing with color and styling and most of the time you don't come across someone that can do both. I can't believe it took me so long to find her, I'm only sorry I didn't find her sooner! The whole staff is just so friendly and easy to get along with, they all just make you feel so comfortable. The location is off the main road with convenient parking, and when you enter the salon, you feel like you're in a NYC specialty salon. The services are great...from hair care to nail care to even skin care and they continue to expand. I've never been disappointed and can always rely on their quality stylists. I'd recommend making an appointment, but they've always been accommodating to walk-ins as well. Roseann has always been my favorite stylist--she's young, hip, and knows exactly what to do to my hair to bring out my best features. And she really listens to you. There's someone for everyone there. My only negative is that it's a 45 minute drive for me from Stamford...but it's well worth the trip! Most recently, I was sitting in a chair when I realized that I needed a last minute bouquet and boutonniere for a wedding. Gianna started texting on her phone and had it sorted out in 5 minutes flat! And comparing Hair Saloon and my little reliable shop... the phrase I would use is you get what you pay for. The quality Brianna and Danielle exposed to me to is something I would never turn my back on now that I've had a taste of it. When I walked into the salon, which shares a little building with a nail salon next door, my nervous little self was greeted with warm smiles and welcomes. I was given a little tour of the cafe/bar side, and then the section where the actual magic begins. Seeing as how they've open during the height of COVID, they're still very infection control friendly! The chairs in the cutting/stying section are more than generously six feet apart, and the chairs by the washing station are separated by clear screens. 10/10 for cleanliness because you see these other businesses and since late 2021, you know hygiene has definitely been thrown out the window. You know you're dishing out a little more $ when there's massage chairs during the hair wash. In my head I was just wow'd because Chinatown could never lol. Brianna was great during the wash. One thing I have to commend them for is the communication step-by-step. She asked me my preferences in shampoo, and I usually opt for products that offer volume, so she introduced me to R&Co, which was pretty much *the* brand that was used on me throughout my appointment. I really appreciated how she explained the different types of shampoo they used and who would benefit from what. The shampoo, the hair serum, and hair spray I'm pretty sold on because I'm that person who's always looking for the next best thing when it comes to hair and face products. Now Danielle. You are the GOAT. Thank you for showing me what it's like to be well taken care of as a client. There is something in that customer service of yours that feels so warm and it's like, of course the business would be 5 stars on here! You're like the big sister of hair, telling me what works and what doesn't. I use Adolfo (chair next to Pino) but all the guys are throwback and unbelievable at their craft. Where else can you get a hot shave?! All the barbers wear collared shirts, dress pants and their hair meticulously combed. Pure class. Price is irrelevant. They should be charging double! No bells and whistles. The space itself is very dated but it doesn't matter...these guys are true professionals, trained in the old European style. Appointment isn't necessary but it does get busy. I hope it never changes.
