I drive from a neighboring state to get my hair done at Salon Topaz. I have tried and tried to adapt to other stylists but none compare to Lisa. She is an artist, and a skilled and highly experienced master of her craft. The staff here are friendly, welcoming and attentive. I always feel relaxed and taken care of when I am there. Highly recommend!! read more

Beautiful cut and blowout by Armani. She meticulously cut each section of my extremely long hair, listening to all of my preferences, then styled to perfection, lasting into next day. Plus she even did a root touch-up. Highly recommend!! read more

I was searching for a new salon and the reviews looked good. I went on a Sunday and there was only one hair dresser and no one else at salon. she was very nice but hair service was so bad. I went in wanting a fun fresh haircut and showed pictures. she washed my hair and than didnt part or sections my hair. she cut my front hair into a mess and didn't even touch the rest of my hair. there was no hair on the ground. she took more time hand blow drying it than the hair cut. she didn't cut any of my hair or give it style but horrible not even bangs in the front. she curled it after was cute but this wasn't a haircut at all for 85 bucks. my work place laughed and said the front of my hair is a mess. very upset read more

I visited the salon for the first time a couple of days ago and met with Roman, who cuts my fiance's hair and does a fantastic job. My hair has been thinning terribly for the past few years and Roman really took the extra time, patience and care to see what the "root" of the problem was. He spent a lot of time precision cutting my very thin and fine hair and came up with a plan to get my hair growing again. Roman made me feel confident and hopeful that I might actually be able to have a cute haircut again. I've already scheduled my next appointment and I'm excited to see the progress. The manager and other staff at the salon were very friendly and engaging and the salon was spotlessly clean with a modern, upbeat vibe. read more

I recently moved and was looking for a new trusted hair stylist. After looking on line and at reviews and found such great words about Salon Topaz. I now have a new trusted hair stylist!! Jenny is amazingly talented and a kind and intuitive listener. She asks questions until she understands exactly what it is I want. And with her expertise provides it. The salon is clean and warm and the owners so lovely, welcoming and friendly. AND they are committed to mindfully choosing products and dealing with waste in ways that make the smallest and cleanest footprint possible. I could not be happier that I found Salon Topaz and my new stylist, Jenny and couldn't recommend them more. read more

Jenny is THE blonde master. She turned my brassy, solid hair into a cool blonde with beige highlights and depth. She helped me realize I like my natural root color as a base, which saved my wallet and my scalp from extra processing. I won't trust anyone else with my hair. Thank you!! read more

I did not think spending hours at a salon was my idea of relaxing, but to my surprise I had the best time ever! What a wonderful team, and Karen was guiding me through every step. My hair has not felt this cared for and loved in way too long. It looks stunning, healthy and ready for summer. Thank you so much everyone at Salon Topaz. read more

Was hoping to schedule a haircut here but when I called to ask about the salon's COVID safety policies, the manager I spoke to was very rude and said "I don't know how you want me to answer these questions." Very simple questions about masks and their cleaning protocols. The call was really cold and didn't reassure me at all. If you're concerned about this, I would avoid this salon. Edit: I got a message saying the manager responded to my review and they were very defensive and combative about it. They are also making false statements about my call. I was never informed about the cleaning protocols and when asked if the staff was vaccinated, the manager said "I don't know how you want me to answer these questions." To clarify, medical records were never asked for. To claim that I asked for records shows how defensive they are when asked about safety procedures. Reading other reviews, it seems that management is a big issue at the salon. read more

I came here from the city because my current salon hasn't been the same in the last 2-3mo & this one is one of a few that use the colour I prefer. Called to make an appt & spoke with a guy - how much is root touch up? $95. Perfect. Same as what I pay in the city. Brought along my colour formula, ok, no problem. Showed the girl how I normally style it after. Oh blow drying is extra. What to you mean extra? Blow dry is only part of the coat with a haircut not colour service. Um, ok fine no one told me when I made the appointment. It's also 55F today so why would I leave with a wet head? Shampoo out the colour, end up with a face of water because somehow the shampoo girl sprayed me. Do you need a new robe? Yes because I don't feel like finishing in this wet one. And thanks as my mascara is now smeared all over my face and you gave me a towel with my hair colour on it to blot my face. So, in the end, I was guessing the "extra" BS blow dry charge would be $20-30... nope! $70 and didn't even attempt to do it from how I showed you & you parted it completely the opposite of what I told you. 3 stars because I gave you my colour formula so that wasn't difficult. -2 for the BS drying charge I wasn't told about and getting a face of water when washing my hair and not even apologetic about either. read more

I was not treated like an "Awesome Guest" at my recent hair color appointment at Salon Topaz, Dobbs Ferry. Jenny, my colorist, did an amazing job with my color. An entry level employee was responsible for: rinsing my hair and swiping the dye from my eyebrows. She did such a poor job. There was water halfway down the back of my shirt. My eyebrows looked like I had coffee grounds on them - the dye was not adequately removed. My left ear was covered in dye! I had to remove the excess dye when I returned home! I was not scheduled for a haircut, but asked if someone could trim my bangs. The woman who usually cuts my hair was on her phone during my entire visit. She had no customers the 2+ hours I was there. Previously, she had told me I could drop in anytime to have my bangs trimmed. Jenny said that she "would try to find someone" to trim my bangs; she didn't. The hair color cost $207, plus a $35 tip ($242.) I combed and blow dried my hair. These services are not included when only a color is booked. I'm returning to a salon in the city. read more

In the age of Covid, this is a GREAT choice for a haircut. I came with a freshly-shampooed wet head. Eva took me directly to the open-air deck in the back and gave me a great haircut, as usual. Full disclosure: they have offered to enter the names of all reviewers in a raffle to win a giftcard for $100. read more

Salon Topaz is fantastic. I regularly recommend it to my clients as the best place for haircuts and treatments in Westchester. I am a wardrobe stylist and for over 7 years I have been sending people to see Lisa DeMaria and her capable staff. I have only gotten great reviews of this clean, charming and professional salon. Lisa educates her team on a regular basis and it shows in their work ethic and skill. I used to send my clients to the city, but since meeting Lisa I send them here-and that includes my 17 year old child who is pickier than any diva! High praise for the whole crew. read more

I have been getting my hair styled at Salon Topaz for years. Once again, I can honestly say that I have always had a great experience. While the cost can be a bit high, I have gone to other salons, which cost less, but left me unsatisfied. Lisa is always amazing, but I have had my hair cut by other stylists; this time by Sydney. I love my hair cut and style. She did a great job. I am always treated with dignity, professionalism, friendliness, and competence. I plan to continue going here. read more

I recently had a keratin treatment done by Jenny. Up until then I had someone else do it with just ok results. I decided to let Jenny do it for me since she already gives me a fabulous cut. Monica is the first stylist who truly understands my curly, wavy hair. Other stylists have tried to blow it out straight or have given me cuts that just don't work given my hair's natural inclination. Monica gave me a cut that I don't need to blow dry and then showed me exactly how to use products to get it to hold its shape without getting frizzy. I can now style my own hair in five minutes or less, which is a miracle, and it looks healthy and shiny, too. read more
