For one the name on the building does not match the name listed here. First I called and asked if they took walk ones and she was very abrupt and said yes. I told her I was coming on my way of that would be fine and she replied "yes" and hung up. I needed my hair cut really bad before I went out of town for vacation. It's a Cheap hair cut, and that's exactly what you'll get. I don't know if she was overwhelmed by how many people were waiting or if she's that careless with everyone's hair, but I just wanted a couple inches cut off and she literally just cut straight across my back. In general, when I get my haircut here, they have done what I have asked. The first time I went here, Nou cut it. I liked what she did, so I made an appointment with her next time. However, when I got there, a woman said Nou stepped out. Nou never came back, so another woman cut my hair. To me that was super unprofessional to not be there when I made an appointment. Also, the last time I went there, the hair stylist cut my hair weird, so it fell on my shoulders really weird. Nou not being there for the appointment really did it for me. Hair evolution is a decent haircut place for asian men and other men too I'm sure, for $10 a service, it was quick, clean and best of all it opens at 9am in comparison to other places at 10/11am on Sunday's. My haircut was an easy one, just a very short haircut- kind of like military hairstyle so I can really say much about their skills and art form when it comes to haircutting, but for what I envisioned I think I got what I wanted. In the past however, when I wanted my hair in an undercut style, they weren't the best at executing it, because they didn't really know how to, because I don't think they are trained barbers (men haircut specialist), they are just hairdressers (which specializes in women haircut more) . But if you are a men or boy and would like a short simple and nothing too fancy haircut I would go here. The service was not too bad, had a slight casual conversation with my asian hairdresser, she was not the most gentle when cutting the hair, but was not super rough either. I just thought that while she was using the automated razor blade, she could have held my ears down to protect it, but she didn't, instead she just went around it kinda scratching and luckily missing my ears and I feared my life that my ears were going to be bleeding from that machine, but it didn't, not this time, but just saying feeling that safe comfort feeling would have made the experience better, because other barbers normally do this. Cleanliness of seats and surrounding was good, but the shop was kinda tacky looking, with cheap interior, just saying it could be more appealing. I asked her if she cut men's hair to barber quality. She told me that she's not going to say if they're good or if they're bad she assured me go check the reviews that should answer my questions. So I went into the place after seeing a few good reviews. The lady that cut my hair was a very sweet woman but botched my hair!!!! The haircut that I got was definitely a $10 haircut! Very nice entrance and there was no wait. The lady was very friendly but when she was wetting my hair she soaked my face in the process. They don't listen to how you want to cut your hair. They will do the opposite and give you a whole another style and look. They start off by cutting way too short, instead of trying to leave it a little longer at first and slowly trimming if needed. I'm so disappointed. Don't get you hair cut here. It took a long time for any of the employees to notice be standing at the front, and then the lady who cut my hair didn't say a word until I spoke up to tell her what I wanted. But it turned out really well! I just wanted my hair trimmed, and usually when I say that stylists will still take off way too much, but she didn't do this. Don't go here, especially if you're a guy. They'll cut your hair the exact same length everywhere and it's purely a terrible haircut. My stylist was rough and cut me twice! I can let it go once, but of your in such a rush to get me out your chair that you cut me twice?! Totally unacceptable. On top of everything my hair is way shorter than I wanted it. Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and there was only one other customer. We were greeted right away and my daughter was taken to the back right away. The stylist was very attentive to my daughter's desire for her look she wanted. Even though my daughter had a picture the stylist still asked questions to make sure she knew what was wanted. After looking at the reviews on yelp I decided to call and make an appointment but was told we can just walk-in. Upon arrival at about 4ish pm, I was greeted by an Asian lady, I told her I would like to get an ombre done and her reply was "right now?" then she stared at the clock as if she had no time. A few minutes later I was seated. I explained what I wanted to the stylist named Youa. She looked like she was clueless, I should have left right when I saw her clueless expression but I ended up staying because I wanted to give them a chance since the place had such good reviews from yelp. So the process didn't finish till 8:15. At that time I was satisfy with the outcome NOT until the next day! The next day my hair color began to fade. i paied them 65 dollars for THIS!!! I went in to have my sides cleaned up ( long hair, both sides shaved) and sat with Nou. She was amazing! She did a marvelous job with the sides, and made the lines really sharp and tight.
