Don't ask about mens haircuts or shaves. They just hang up on you. Apologies in advance.

Excellent cut! Definitely will return! For my fellow Asians, Sally is the real deal when it comes to cutting Asian hair. I haven't found anyone in Fresno who knows how to cut Asian hair until I met sally Update: I take it back. Only the first time was good. The other two, my last two, were terrible. read more

I have yet to hear from the owner! Who was no where to be found for 6 months of me coming into the salon to get ahold of him or her! So I will continue to spread awareness. This is a very unprofessional salon! They do not know what they are doing! The only experience they have is ruining innocent people's hair! Do not go to this trash salon! The staff is rude! They are pretty much hired off Craigslist because the job they do is complete garbage. This salon needs to be shut down There's a lot of sketch going on there Multiple people complaining about their hair being ruined.. People walking in asking for the owner.. even an attorney walked.. The lady who lied about her name! Sally The salon name changed because their previous name has been well known with many negative reviews! I'll tell you right now that they messed with the wrong person. A savage marketer who will make sure that 100% of Clovis and Fresno are aware and do not step a foot into this salon. How many peoples have to walk out of this salon with ruined hair for the owner of this salon to take action?! It's not fair at all.. if you had a bad experience contact the local news channel and tell them the story! They will help spread awareness and get this place shut down If you had a bad experience with this salon I'd love to add your story to my ad This place is now called "Hair Kare" sane people working there, same owner! It's all a scam Don't for get to contact the BBB and file a complaint If you are the owner of this salon I highly suggest you contact me and settle this If your looking for a legit salon I highly recommend ( The Dandelion Salon and Barbershop in Clovis) they are incredibly professional, and talented at what they do. The atmosphere is wonderful at the dandelion. read more

Horrible place, tried getting an ombré look and the lady did a horrible job. Didn't get the color I wanted, there was a black spot on the back and it wasn't blended in well. Please see the picture! I demanded my money back. The owner gave me half of the money back. read more

For one the name on the building does not match the name listed here. First I called and asked if they took walk ones and she was very abrupt and said yes. I told her I was coming on my way of that would be fine and she replied "yes" and hung up. I needed my hair cut really bad before I went out of town for vacation. It's a Cheap hair cut, and that's exactly what you'll get. I don't know if she was overwhelmed by how many people were waiting or if she's that careless with everyone's hair, but I just wanted a couple inches cut off and she literally just cut straight across my back. She kept complaining about people not being there and the other girls calling in. She kept telling people to go shopping and then come back. Just very unprofessional in my opinion. read more

Hair evolution is a decent haircut place for asian men and other men too I'm sure, for $10 a service, it was quick, clean and best of all it opens at 9am in comparison to other places at 10/11am on Sunday's. My haircut was an easy one, just a very short haircut- kind of like military hairstyle so I can really say much about their skills and art form when it comes to haircutting, but for what I envisioned I think I got what I wanted. In the past however, when I wanted my hair in an undercut style, they weren't the best at executing it, because they didn't really know how to, because I don't think they are trained barbers (men haircut specialist), they are just hairdressers (which specializes in women haircut more) . But if you are a men or boy and would like a short simple and nothing too fancy haircut I would go here. The service was not too bad, had a slight casual conversation with my asian hairdresser, she was not the most gentle when cutting the hair, but was not super rough either. I just thought that while she was using the automated razor blade, she could have held my ears down to protect it, but she didn't, instead she just went around it kinda scratching and luckily missing my ears and I feared my life that my ears were going to be bleeding from that machine, but it didn't, not this time, but just saying feeling that safe comfort feeling would have made the experience better, because other barbers normally do this. Cleanliness of seats and surrounding was good, but the shop was kinda tacky looking, with cheap interior, just saying it could be more appealing. But can't complain much for a $10 haircut place. read more

In general, when I get my haircut here, they have done what I have asked. The first time I went here, Nou cut it. I liked what she did, so I made an appointment with her next time. However, when I got there, a woman said Nou stepped out. Nou never came back, so another woman cut my hair. To me that was super unprofessional to not be there when I made an appointment. Also, the last time I went there, the hair stylist cut my hair weird, so it fell on my shoulders really weird. Nou not being there for the appointment really did it for me. But, they do an ok job in general with my straight asian hair. read more

Sorry but this isn't worth paying $100 for something like this. I'm not really happy with how it all turned out. I think this place is definitely overpriced. read more

So I started off by calling this place to ask what time they close and if they cut men's hair I was immediately encountered with attitude from young lady. I asked her if she cut men's hair to barber quality. She told me that she's not going to say if they're good or if they're bad she assured me go check the reviews that should answer my questions. So I went into the place after seeing a few good reviews. The lady that cut my hair was a very sweet woman but botched my hair!!!! The haircut that I got was definitely a $10 haircut! Men please do not go to this place! This is the most uneven haircut I've ever gotten!! I'm looking in the mirror right now and I am definitely disappointed with the haircut I received! And she kept blaming it on the shape of my head! WTF! Iv never heard that before! I do not recommend this place to any man who values their image or their haircut!!! Yes I'm pissed! I seriously look soooo bad! Ahhhhhhhhh!!! Now I'm stuck looking like a jackass for the next two week THANKS GUYS! read more

Great place, $10 dollar haircut, can't beat that... Beats Supercuts without a doubt... They know how to cut men and women's hair perfectly, the way you ask them to do it... I have straight hair so it's easy to spot an imperfection on my hair... ***I'd highly recommend this place*** read more

I was a little nervous when I first arrived at Hair Evolutions. It took a long time for any of the employees to notice be standing at the front, and then the lady who cut my hair didn't say a word until I spoke up to tell her what I wanted. But it turned out really well! I just wanted my hair trimmed, and usually when I say that stylists will still take off way too much, but she didn't do this. She turned out to be really nice, and I was satisfied. Not to mention, it's so cheap! I'll definitely be going here from now on. read more

Place is really unwelcoming. Sally made a comment about my hair which by the way if I wanted it done it would be done by a professional that I could see more their work online/social media unlike her I don't know her work at all. Sally was very rough combing my hair and seem upset that I walked in while she was doing nothing but on her phone... I was told she was good but the haircut was terrible and I could not tie my hair up nicely in a bun nor could I let my hideous haircut down... I COULD GO ON but I'll stop there read more

Very nice entrance and there was no wait. The lady was very friendly but when she was wetting my hair she soaked my face in the process. She seemed very focused on taking to the lady who was sweeping the floor verse cutting my hair. It felt very rushed. Overall good price but i don't know if I'll be going back. read more

They don't listen to how you want to cut your hair. They will do the opposite and give you a whole another style and look. They start off by cutting way too short, instead of trying to leave it a little longer at first and slowly trimming if needed. I'm so disappointed. Don't get you hair cut here. Plus when they blow dry your hair... they don't have that tip for the blow dryer so you feel all the hot heat burning through your head. read more

I was driving through town and stumbled upon this hair place randomly. I'm glad I did because it is one of the best haircuts I've gotten. I got there at 9am, no line and 1 stylist named Lee (sp?) was working. She was very friendly and cut my hair meticulously well. $10 haircut + a well deserved $5 tip. I would come back again if I lived here. read more

Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and there was only one other customer. We were greeted right away and my daughter was taken to the back right away. The stylist was very attentive to my daughter's desire for her look she wanted. Even though my daughter had a picture the stylist still asked questions to make sure she knew what was wanted. There is a huge "menu" on the wall for the prices of all that they do. Everything is very reasonable. My daughter loved the cut she got, just what she asked for. read more

Don't go here, especially if you're a guy. They'll cut your hair the exact same length everywhere and it's purely a terrible haircut. My stylist was rough and cut me twice! I can let it go once, but of your in such a rush to get me out your chair that you cut me twice?! Totally unacceptable. On top of everything my hair is way shorter than I wanted it. She was nice enough to ask if it was good, then proceeded to hack more off because she took too much off of the other side. Why ask if you already screwed up and have to take it shorter just so it look okay?! Very upset and disappointed in my decision to go here. STAY AWAY! read more

Good for our boys but the raise in price for quality we haven't been to happy with especially with all the rotating of new employees. After looking at the reviews on yelp I decided to call and make an appointment but was told we can just walk-in. Upon arrival at about 4ish pm, I was greeted by an Asian lady, I told her I would like to get an ombre done and her reply was "right now?" then she stared at the clock as if she had no time. A few minutes later I was seated. I explained what I wanted to the stylist named Youa. She looked like she was clueless, I should have left right when I saw her clueless expression but I ended up staying because I wanted to give them a chance since the place had such good reviews from yelp. So the process didn't finish till 8:15. At that time I was satisfy with the outcome NOT until the next day! The next day my hair color began to fade. i paied them 65 dollars for THIS!!! I want to cry! :'( There will be a picture attached to show the results of an ombre done at this place!! I will NEVER go back there again! read more

Got a haircut and eyebrow wax. They advertise $10 for a haircut but that's just a basic blunt cut with no layers. However, mine was only $15 dollars (trim of 2 inches with layers). My hair dresser was nice but hard to understand. Wasn't the best hair cut I've ever gotten but much better than a super cuts or great clips. I'll probably make this a place to go get a quick trim but not for a more drastic or shorter hair cut. read more

Dude. $10 for a ladies' haircut is unheard of! The haircutters here were very nice and very attentive to what I wanted in my haircut. I have wavy/curly hair and so am always leery about getting haircuts because they always end up too short, but the lady who cut my hair did a great job! They do men's hair as well, and they take walk-ins. Hair Evolutions = great haircut at a great price. read more

I went in to Hair Evolutions for the first time today. I am fairly new (have only lived in Fresno for a year, So Cal transplant) and have had a hard time finding a good hair stylist. I had the pleasure of having my hair cut by Oua today. She took her time to make sure I was happy with my cut. I love my new haircut! read more

For years, I've been going to hair salons that were overpriced for what I was getting and even more frustrating, hair salons that would make me wait for a long time for a simple wax or haircut.
