1st visit to Hair Cuttery and was fortunate Ashleigh was assigned to me. Though my style is pretty basic, it had been months since my last cut. After the standard "what are you looking for," Ashleigh actually listened and had follow up questions to understand my preferences. She checked for satisfaction all the way through and did a great job. Bottom line: got a real good cut that I was well satisfied with (even my wife agreed). I went in on Sunday morning and got the best stylist on duty. Joanie greeted me and proceeded to be undeterred by a huge tangle in the back of my head. She took the time it required to get the tangle completely out, which I was grateful for, before proceeding to wash and style my hair. Joanie was the ultimate professional and so pleasant, despite the tough detangling job I presented her with. She truly made my day. They always do a good job with my kids' hair. They get it done quickly before they lose their tolerance for sitting in the chair. I decided to try them for a simple haircut/trim for myself and wasn't impressed. I asked for textured ends because I don't like a blunt cut, and even after her redoing it before finishing up, it was still too blunt. I eventually got it fixed by someone else. read more

Mediocre haircut last time. I described what I wanted, but I ended up with a 90s boy-band has has been haircut. I wanted to make another appointment today. No one answered the phone after five tries over an hour. It directed me to the website. I have no desire to create an account just to get a $%^&* haircut. Normally this is the only place I go. The last three times I've gone I've logged in online and showed up at the exact time stated. Each time people walk in, sign in, and get helped before me. No, these were not people with appointments. This most recent time, I waited over an hour while three other people were helped before me. I was quoted 30 minutes. I know these people did not have appointments as they went to the counter and i listened as they signed in. A stylist would see them and call them back, obviously recognizing them as a friend or repeat customer. There seems to be no management at this place anymore. Online sign ins seem to be on a separate list, as last time they didn't even know I was signed in at all until I asked after 30 minutes. I always tip 50% and I've been going tot his location all my life, but I will not be returning. read more

I booked for a signature hair cut that costs $24. After the shampoo and hair cut the stylist started drying my hair and charged $35. I never asked for a blow dry and it was not styling at all. I walked in without an appointment, but early in the morning, and was told that they had a 4 hour wait and couldn't take me, even though the place was nearly empty. No one was waiting, and there was one hair dresser sitting around playing on her phone. I was told 30 minute wait, which stretched to an hour. I was a walk in without an appointment, I get that scheduled clients have priority, but if I may make a suggestion, please don't waste people's time by just saying a random number of minutes when giving an estimate of wait time. I'd much rather hear "to be honest, it's going to be a looooong wait" to which I'll reply thank you and I'll come back because of honesty. Instead I was told a random number for wait time which was obviously not true. My time was wasted, and time is money. This Hair Cuttery made me waste money. I left after an hour and a half of waiting. So why the one one star rating even though I didn't get a fair cut? Well on top of the lack of honesty when it came to estimating wait times, during my time sitting in the waiting area, i was able to see other people's finished work. And i gotta say, maybe it's a good thing I didn't get called. This one guys fade was all jacked in the back - I felt so bad for the guy. I'm pretty sure all he asked for was a nice hair cut so he can look nice for a lady. Instead, he'll end up on one of those "I got you fam" barber/stylist memes. I showed up on a Friday around 3:00. The shop was not very busy. There was one person waiting and three folks behind the counter. Several people were getting their hair cut. I checked in and was told to wait. The person waiting was taken after a couple minutes. Another person came in and was also taken before me. I'm assuming they were on a waitlist. During my entire wait there were always at least 2 and sometimes 4 people (stylists) sitting or standing by the register. After 20 minutes of waiting I had enough and left.
