She taught me how to style certain parts of my hair using the blow dryer, which I asked about because I liked the way it looked on a kdrama actress, LOL. Now I do it everyday and love it! She also provides great product recommendations. Lena's salon is petite and cute, but it feels spacious enough since she usually has one customer at a time. Lena has a gentle and sweet approach to hair, making recommendations without feeling like they're being forced on you. I really appreciate that. Before booking, I was required to place a $20 deposit to reserve my spot, and shortly after completing the authorization application, I received my confirmation details via email. I then reached out to Veronica on Instagram to ask a few questions regarding my service. She took the time to thoroughly respond to each question with precision, knowledge, and detail. With this useful information, I decided to upgrade my service to an All-Over Color & Haircut. Later on, I changed my mind and decided I wanted to maintain my natural color and only proceed with a haircut. I also needed to reschedule because my calendar no longer aligned with that date. I contacted Veronica again, and she kindly rescheduled me for a new date: September 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Finally, the day of my appointment, I walked in and waited for only about a minute. Veronica greeted me with a positive attitude and seated me to begin my service. Before starting, she asked to see my reference photo. Once I showed her, she was very transparent with me upfront: she wouldn't be able to perform or guarantee that I would be 100% satisfied with the result because my reference photo did not align with her specialty. Veronica could have simply proceeded with the service and taken the payment, but instead, she honestly explained the situation. She even went out of her way to refer me to someone else who specializes in what I was requesting, and on top of that, she immediately refunded my $20 deposit. Instead of jeopardizing my service for her own benefit, she valued my time, money, and self-confidence by passing up a business opportunity. If you're reading this, I highly encourage you to consider booking your next appointment with Veronica because that level of integrity and honesty will definitely gain her an abundance of business opportunities and loyal customers. Olivia did my hair and makeup for my wedding this past August. Found her here on Yelp. I'm glad I did because she did a fantastic job. She was on time, very professional, and just made me feel comfortable the whole time. She brought her chair, assistant, and all her tools. She was very organize and was very good with keeping me on schedule. She made sure that it was all about me and made me feel very special that day. She listened to how I wanted my make up and made some suggestions with my hair since I didn't know how I wanted my hair. My hair turned out beautiful, she had even put my veil on for me. She also did hair and makeup for my matron of honor, bridesmaids, and flower girls. Originally she was only suppose to do my matron of honor's and bridesmaids hair only, but they ended up changing their minds and decided to have Olivia do their makeup. She was able to accomodate the change and she was more than willing to do it. Her price was also really good for the quality of work you get. I called so many other makeup artis and believe me she was the most reasonable one. Eventhough it was reasonable I truely felt like I was at a high end salon eventhough I was just in my bridal suite at a hotel. I would definitely DEFINITELY recommend her to anyone, especially to brides that don't want to worry about their hair and makeup on their wedding day since they already have a million other things to worry about that day. read more

As someone who works in the hair industry myself, I appreciated their energy and skill. We connected on Instagram, I reached out with availability, and I was genuinely excited to work with them. I even offered a deposit, which they declined... The trial went really well. I explained that the timing of my engagement photos depended on my fiancé's custom suit being finished. Everything seemed clear and straightforward. I also asked for recommendations for someone who could do a midi horseshoe haircut on me, and Marilyn said she could. I reached out to schedule because no she doesn't offer online booking... didn't hear back for about a week, she texts me if I wanted to come in... since I didn't hear back ... ended up going somewhere else. Later on, I tried booking another haircut. We agreed on a time, but she canceled two hours before. We rescheduled, and again she canceled two hours before, this time due to her mom being in the hospital. I tried to be understanding--I've been through similar with my own mom--so I gave her space. Even if she was going through stuff she could have told me she needs more time off. Even 2nd time around she could have messaged or called me at midnight saying I'm not well and on a good head space ... But then I noticed she was still posting on Instagram a few weeks later and pinged her. When I reached out again to move forward with my engagement hair, she told me she was mostly available after 3 PM because of her day job. She did offer more availability if she had 2 weeks notice to take a day off to open her day up more or offer a recommendation for someone with more time ...I said I could work around that schedule or 2-3 weeks notice so she could take a day off since I already paid for the trial and loved the trial look. I let her know December was hectic, so we likely needed to shoot in January or February. I was still willing to give a deposit and finalize dates. Out of nowhere, she sent a message saying we shouldn't work together anymore, claiming it was due to me calling her out for being online ( I pinged her to see if she was back to work ) and "contradicting" myself because I wasn't ready to book in December--even though I had already explained the logistics with it being the holidays and I was ready to schedule for January when confirmed and was willing to send a deposit... Sounds to me she needed to push for me to schedule in December for Xmas money or much needed cash for something big. After looking back at everything, the red flags were the multiple last-minute cancellations and the inconsistent communication. Even when trial was booked... I was told it was at the Phoenix Suites in Anaheim. No suite number no buzzer or information... I myself have a salon suite at Salon Republic and when clients book... I five them the suite number, buzzer code etc. I had to ask her how to do I enter or is there a buzzer code? Their work is genuinely beautiful, and her sister is incredibly kind, but reliability matters.
