5/5! So glad they finally opened a Haidilao here in Mississauga. I tried this location earlier this month for my birthday and I really enjoyed! You can never go wrong with Haidilao tbh.. and I'm glad the Mississauga location did not disappoint. The meat quality and vegetable quality was top notch, and so was the service. I felt like there was never a moment when the trays of vegetables, dipping sauces, etc, were empty. Same can be said about my glass of water and what was on the table - the servers were very attentive and work quick! They currently have a promo running right now - $36.95 per person, Monday to Thursday, 8:30pm to close! Definitely a super good promo and I hope to take advantage of it again soon. Be sure to try this location if you haven't yet.

Tips: - There is a parking lot. You need a ticket to enter and exit it. The first two hours of parking are free. If you need more time, it's a flat rate of $5 and you can pay by the gate with a credit card. - If you have long hair, you get a hair tie for free! - Make a reservation. It can get busy, especially on weekends. My two friends and I were due to meet up. We were supposed to meet in February, but due to being sick and trips, we met up a couple of Saturdays ago. One of our friends had never had hot pot. I recommended going to this Haidilao location across from Square One. We all had never been here, so we were game. I made a reservation a day before we were to dine here. It worked perfectly. I had no problem finding this eatery. I entered the parking lot that required grabbing a ticket. It said that you could pay at a kiosk. I never saw it. Instead, I took a chance to pay at the gate, just before leaving. I knew that I'd be exceeding the first two hours that were free. I was good paying $5 with a credit card, especially when catching up with friends. No parking spots were available in front of the eatery. I parked a bit further away and walked over. I could see the entrance fine. My friend who took an Uber asked where the front door was. I shared photos, which helped her go around the back. My other friend parked across the street at Square One. His parking was definitely free! I walked into the eatery first. I was greeted by a nice man. I let him know that I had a reservation for three. He nodded and asked me to relax in the waiting area as they got our table set up. The waiting area had complimentary drinks and snacks. I held off, as I knew that I needed to save some room for the main hot pot event. I loved this kind gesture. I got word that we would be seated at table 23. My friend who said that he had just parked missed me in the waiting area. I didn't know he was parked at Square One until he found me. I used the washroom a couple of times. I liked that there was a beamed sign on the floor and a number of physical signs to get you there. The women's washroom was clean and nice. When we all were at the table, we used the iPad to place our order. One friend has a seafood allergy, so we steered away from anything associated with seafood. We went with two soup bases: - Pork tripe and chicken - Sukiyaki The former was subtle, but enjoyable. The latter had onions that caramelized as we ate. We loved both soup bases. We ordered a variety of items for our hot pot: - Veggies - Udon - Konjac (no carbs) noodles - Chicken - Tofu puffs - Pork We ordered egg fried rice as a side dish. It was excellent, with fried egg and green onions. We also ordered cold drinks: - Honey yuzu tea (normal ice with a bit of honey) - Matcha coconut - Golden phoenix lemon tea (normal ice and slightly sweet) I loved my honey yuzu tea. It was citrusy and refreshing, with a bit of sweetness. I'd get it again. My friends enjoyed their drinks. I'd love to get them next time. We enjoyed making our dipping sauces and getting fruit at the station steps away from our table. My dipping sauce had a lot of garlic and green onion, with soy and sesame. I loved my masterpiece! It was fun cooking our food in the soups and chatting. The chicken morsels took the longest to cook. I put an equal number of morsels in both soups. We got cold water with lemon in our glasses that were constantly replenished. When our soup bases looked low, they were also replenished. Service was stellar. There was a man a few tables away making hand-pulled noodles. It was a treat watching him work. A lot of folks had birthdays when we were there. It looks like a lot of fun to celebrate here. We were thoroughly stuffed. We made room for dessert. I went with strawberry ice cream. My friends went with a condensed milk ice cream bar and vanilla ice cream. We loved this end to our meal. I enjoyed seeing a robot move around the eatery with various proteins. I liked that this robot had a cat face! One of our friends paid our bill and we then paid him for our share of the meal. It worked out nicely. There were candies at the front. I should have got a handful. The one that I tried was yummy as we headed out. We had an excellent experience at this restaurant. I look forward to going back for more. (146)

Haidilao is definitely a bit of a splurge, but the food is solid and the service is super attentive. Fyi the parking has a 2 hour limit, so be careful not to go over, or else you'll need to pay bit. The face-changing mask performance during dinner was super cool to watch live.

I have been to the Scarborough location and had a positive experience. It was the same for this new location. There is parking at the back that's free for the first 2 hours when I went yesterday (Dec. 20th). It opened in November this year and is really popular. The interior is really clean, contemporary and cozy. Service was pretty quick and consistent. The food and the hot pot broth were delicious. The buffet-diy style dip stations is pretty cool. Though there wasn't a designated dessert station, there are fruit slices where you make dip FYI - You can get unlimited bowls from the dip station. - If you like spicy food, I would suggest that you order a non spicy hot pot broth and diy a spicy dip.

Saying "I love golden bricks" will get you these fresh fried donuts with sweetened condensed milk for free!

Be prepared to feel like absolute ROYALTY The thing that stood out to me most was the service! Never once did my water get below half, they constantly refilled the broth and everyone was just so attentive! Ting was our server and she was just lovely. Place is pretty new and everything is *pristine*. Big seating area, sauce bar was conveniently located and booths are very comfortable. Room for 4 different broths and the food was fresh as can be! We had their meal for 2 and it was a lot of food! Will come back again soon!

This is the 3rd haidilao location I have been to, and it never disappoints. The entire customer experience is always on the top of haidilaos mission, and from start the finish it was incredible. The really think of every little detail and make things so convenient and easy. The food is also fantastic, best hot pot ever. Always a great time when you go to haidilao. Super clean and organized interior.

Fast forward to 2026. We're in the Toronto area and I notice there are a handful of Myung Dong style restaurants on my search. We ended up picking this one because it was the closest one from our hotel. Without knowing the quality of the other options, we were so glad we made this choice. Similar menu and the kimchi is one of the stars of the show. Slightly unripe, but loaded with garlic, we couldn't get enough of it. The kalguksu had a mild, but peppery broth; and all members of my family thought it was the best they'd ever had. We also ordered the bossam (pork belly) and steamed mandoo. Eating here was the highlight of our trip. We even considered going back the next day!

There are some booth tables and others are wooden tables in the middle. The banchan was just kimchi and yellow pickled radish. I prefer when they give a variety of little starters. I got a beef soup (bulgogi jjigae) which the broth ended up spicier than I wanted. I thought it should have been on the sweeter side. There are many other Korean dishes one can choose from, especially their popular large pork dumplings. Overall, it was a good experience with my friend.

All of their meats were fresh, well tempered (not stale/straight out of the freezer). Condiment bar was self serve and had a wide selection to customize your sauce. Their veggies were also very fresh & the appetizers such as wings & the squid ink dumpling were AMAZING. Soft drinks are also included in the Premium AYCE price at $45/pp after tax. All of their waitstaff we interacted with were kind, patient, attentive, and helpful. Their seating layout is also notable-- each individual table was enclosed, it gave a more cozy/private feel rather than loud & overstimulating despite dining during peak hour. If I could critique even just one thing, it'd be the dessert options, almond pudding and ice jelly were a bit disappointing to end the meal with cuz they weren't great in our opinion, but not problematic enough for me to dock a star. Next time I'm craving hotpot, Daimaru will absolutely be at the top of my choice list moving forward!

And when we found out it's a joint where you pick out your own components for a bowl of soup, we were extremely intrigued and excited to eventually check it out. So it was that we popped in for a meal on a recent Saturday. The place is quite small inside, but the man behind the counter was very friendly and explained how everything worked. We were given a large plastic bowl and told to fill it with the various components we wanted, which proved to be no small task as there were dozens of options available. I wound up cramming my bowl with different kinds of meat and sausages, along with a few standard veggies like bok choy and mushrooms. After that was done, I took my bowl back to the aforementioned man and requested the bone broth and the spiciest level of heat they had. (I was urged to go with medium instead, which I did and which turned out to be the right move, because the medium was more like very, very, very spicy.) The finished soup was brought to the table a short while later and it looked quite tasty. I wasn't expecting much but I'll admit that my socks were properly knocked off. This is one terrific, flavorful bowl of soup. The broth is so rich and layered, and it's enhanced by a heaping helping of garlic and chili oil. I'd put this right up there with the best ramen on offer in the GTA. Did I need quite so many components in the soup itself? No, probably not. When I return (and I certainly will), I'll definitely be a bit more conservative in terms of adding in ingredients. But wow, I am so impressed by Youxia Malatang.
