The food is so tasty. I highly recommend the barbecue! The combo includes two ulams, noodles, rice, and iced tea. I was really full but I finished it all. I'm so grateful the man that worked there told me that two of the ulams I was going to pick were based off the same sauce so I did not end up with the same tasting food. Even my meat eating sister loved the food here! If you're short on time and don't have a chance to try out other vegetarian restaurants here (due to meat eating traveling companions and a bunch of family living here) you need to at least come here!

It serves Filipino staple foods like Kare-Kare, Pansit, Beef and Broccoli, Barbecue, and many more. The only twist is all of these dishes don't contain any kind of meat in them. How can you have Beef and Broccoli without beef? Is there even a type of Barbecue that's not made out of meat? Well, Bodhi uses tofu as a meat substitute. Their food tastes so good, you can't even tell that everything is made out of tofu. It's way healthier and cheaper. I usually have issues concerning my weight. I just can't imagine myself looking fat. Whenever I feel like I am gaining a few pounds, I just stop eating at fast food restaurants and I go to healthier options like Bodhi. They have a wide selection of meals to choose from and all of their dishes are sold at a very fair price.

We had to flag someone to have our orders taken. The staff were either talking to each other by the front door or by the baarea. We ordered: Pinakbet, which was really good. Bangus in Yellow Bean Sauce. Just OK. Didn't taste deep fried at all. Not even crispy. Crab Omelette. I like this one. Went well with Pinakbet. Turon Kanin Club. They should just stick with plain bananas. The whole stuffing combination doesn't work. When the food was delivered, the server didn't even acknowledge us or tell us to enjoy our meal. To get our bill, we had to wave at the server who was all the way at the back. Very disappointed at the staff. Some of the food was very good. But, I can not recommend a place who treats their guests in such a way. There are many other great Filipino restaurants with much friendlier staff, such as Manam.

Not sure how they pulled it off but the fusion of flavors were amazing! Next was pork belly dish with curry. Another hit! Last but not least is their signature salmon dish. That was really good too! Solid choice! Light on truffle so not overpowering, the cheese on there is lightly salted sort of like a parmesan. Amazing. 2. Roast Beef Bun - 10/10. Another banger. The hoisin sauce was thick and reminds of me of a peanut sauce. Nonetheless a sauce worth mopping up and having on the side. I don't know what they did to the hoisin but it was phenomenal. 3. Pork Kare Curry - 6/10. I'm a huge kare kare fan but I think the sauce lacked the kare kare punch I wanted. The pork belly was also quite firm on the non fatty spots of the cut of pork. The rice that came with it was awesome. 4. Indo Smashed Chicken - 8/10. Well cooked thigh, good flavor. 5. Ginamos Rendang Halibut - 9/10. Can taste the Indonesian flavors. Light but filling. Great choice if you don't want to feel heavy after lunch.

A bit hidden on P. Guanzon, the street directly facing the frontside of A.Venue Mall, this restaurant is widely known among the neighborhood, but could be easily located on an online map. Dining was an easy breezy as the dishes are described in the updated menu spread with photos of their best-selling items. We had their famous Mee Goreng, Beef Rendang, and Thai Iced Tea. Our food was served in less than 15 minutes, considered fast for table-service restaurants. Calling the attention of the service crew, asking for recommendations, and ordering were all easy. Most service crews were welcoming, though we encountered one who just grabbed the menu spread and the tissue rack off our table when we were still dining. We didn't mind, but it could have been much more courteous if she spoke with us and asked for permission, as we were still eating. Also, the music could have been much softer to preserve the relaxing vibe, because it was hard to hear my companions when we were chatting, to the point that we had to shout at each other. Their Mee Goreng was full of ingredients and a plate could serve up to two to three people--but less in seafood. I mean, what's a "spicy seafood noodles" without much spice and just a few pieces of seafood? It was flavorful and a bit on the sweet-spicy side, may be catering to Filipino tongues that are used to the sweet palette. Beef Rendang, their take on Malaysia's spicy beef curry, was an instant favorite. The meat in the dish generously spicy and soft that it tasted like it was braised slowly and carefully. With rice, the dish can only serve and would leave you wishing you'd have more. The Thai Iced Tea was the spice quencher, if it suddenly feels hot when eating both the Mee Goreng and the Beef Rendang. Crying Tiger is definitely a must-visit in the area if you crave for Southeast Asian dishes, but make sure to get a table before groups go in around dinnertime as it gets full with avid patrons.

A hot, boring afternoon quickly turns into a game of bahay-bahayan (upon insistence of the girls), which also includes lutu-lutuan. Younger pyros, like me, are quick to pounce on this suggestion, as this gives us a reason to do two things: start fires, and burn things with wide-eyed, maniacal glee. Fast forward to now, and the pyro in me still demands that a sacrifice be made to gods of fire (preferably through a tiki statue), while I demand constant feeding, preferably barbecued beef. For a fee, I can indulge in both through Sambokojin. This buffet joint is, pardon my enthusiasm, the balls! I get to eat as much Korean fried chicken (but of course), and I get to cook and eat as much beef as is ethically allowed. Their cakes and desserts are tempting enough that I do manage to slyly fall off my wagon when I do this, and that's saying something for a guy with diabetes and no sweet tooth; I actually actively seek out something I have no interest in, and prohibited to me. To cut a long love letter short, cook your own food on a hot plate, eat fried chicken, finish with dessert. Yum!

Most likely Tim Ho Wan curtailed their menu/dishes, way of cooking to the fillipino palate......maybe???? I'm confused that a previously Michelin rated domain super franchise has some super mediocre dishes. Actually the Yang Chow fried rice is 1 star at best. Didn't even finish it. The pork chop was decent, they had a different take on the frying and I appreciated it. But the fried rice, 3 bites, nope. The Prawn Fried Chicken wings and drums........soooo confusing. When it arrived I smelled shrimp, it was strong enough to overtake the table, not in a bad way just had u questioning how chicken could smell so strongly Prawn. I guess that's why they call it that! Perhaps it's a thing here or am existing trend I'm clueless about, but for me, yea.......no. Fried chicken itself was good, just like the Tim How Wan in China (without the prawn frying) but the prawn frying here was just nope! The beef brisket noodle soup.......noodles mushy. A big nonooooooooo. Beef and tendons were just ok. Broth just ok..... The BBQ Pork Buns thankfully NOT messed with. Always the shining star of Tim Ho Wan. Flaky, hot, tasty. The salvaging only dish here. Everything but the Buns (4 Star), 1 Star. Service, hard working people, especially front desk taking names and numbers - 4 Star girl. 2 stars overall. Super odd, and I hope a super outlier for a franchise I expect WAY MORE FROME.
