This place is grossly overpriced. I don't mind paying for high-quality produce and goods, but when it's low-quality for an exorbitant price, I have a problem. They say 'local' but a lot of their produce is from Mexico and South America.....their packaged arugula and spinach is ALWAYS about an hour from going rotten, and their deli section is very disappointing- the meats and cheeses are pre-sliced...who knows how long it sits like that..if this place weren't the only conveniently located grocery store for us, we would never shop here. Goods are literally twice as much as at Safeway or Albertsons..again, if Haggen had high-quality produce, I would not complain, but it's just expensive- that's all. read more

Stopped here for a sandwich and some soup on a busy day. The woman that made my sandwich was a bit short with me, but she did a great job. I absolutely love this store. It is the only place other then whole foods that sells ellenos yogurt which is my FAVORITE! they also have a great deal on drumsticks from the deli 10 drumsticks for 6.00. They also have a really good Chipotle dip and the Chinese food is great. They have sushi available every day and it is made fresh. I love shopping here for local produce they feature different farms weekly and bring in their produce. Plus they have a great selection of organic and natural foods. read more

First off, this is the only grocery store within 100 miles, so they got you with those WAY TOO HIGH prices... But the real reason I can only give it 1 star is the pathetically slow check-outs. Seriously. They move the check out line with all the speed of a constipated turtle. For the love of God, Haggen, PLEASE increase your speed. The staff has all the sense of urgency of a dog looking for a place to pee. I've had major surgery that went quicker than these people move. Just my 2 cents. read more

I would give this place more stars if they lowered their prices a tad but other than that it's a great store the 10 drums for $6 is super cheap and the prepped food is great.. The cinnamon rolls were good too but I had a hair in one which wasn't great but wasn't going to throw it out. The $7 plate is also decent. Always open makes this a good alternative read more

I really like how fresh everything is at Haggen's; however, I'm out $10. First, I opened a can of Hormel Chili to see green mold (that's $2). Great produce, you can accurately judge nearly any store by their produce & cheese. Actually I've never been disappointed shopping here. It is slightly more expensive than some surrounding stores but I usually haven't lost my complete faith in humanity after shopping here. So, I'll pay a little extra for peace of mind... it's cheaper than pharmacology. Great deli, meat department, et cetera. Staff seems cool too. read more

Great produce, however what really sold me was the amazing ladies in the Haggen Kids club! I dropped my little one off for the first time yesterday and the ladies there were SO sweet and helpful and really made me feel great about leaving my daughter in their care. When she needed a diaper change they just buzzed me on my pager and even gave me an extra diaper they had on hand since I didn't have one with me at that moment! The whole time during the diaper change my daughter was asking to go back and play, she loved it! The only reason for one less star than 5 is the prices, their prices are way too high on most things. For me though, the Haggen Kids club will keep me coming back now! read more

Went to Haagens today which I normally do not do because they are sooooooo expensive. I needed an item that of my local stores Haagens is the only one that carries it. Decided to buy my groceries there so I wouldn't have to go to another store but after shopping around Zi decided to get only the hard to find item. Large shrimp were $13.50 per pound versus $9.99 at Albertson's. From the deli a fried chicken breast costs $3.49 versus $1.49 at Albertsons and in my opinion Albertson's has better chicken and other food in the deli. I am not a picky consumer but when it comes to just giving my hard earned money away I am not the one. Unless Haagens carries something you can't find elsewhere you are giving away a lot of money. read more

I frequented this store when it was Top Food. What's the same, since it became Haggen? Fresh produce and high prices. I don't mind paying a higher price when the quality is better. I'm not complaining about prices. What's different? Bad customer service. When this was Top I received nice cashiers. Always helpful. I believe they have the same people, or at least some of the same people working here, so not sure what happened to the pleasant people, but my visit was not pleasant. I never had a price question when it was Top, but I seriously doubt I would have been treated in the same manner. I ran in to buy a few items. Saw a great deal on pizzas and grabbed one. At the checkout my son noticed the price came up wrong. I had just slid my debit card and the gal, CeeCee (may possibly have been DeeDee), finished the transaction. She called up another employee to to check the price. I went back and showed her where I found the item. Haggen had mistocked the pizzas. This was not someone just dropping an item in the wrong place, the whole shelf was stocked with that price. The gal and I walked back up and when the other employee (who was quite nice) told her it was mistocked, CeeCee chose to let out a huge (no exaggeration) huff, looked at me and asked in an unpleasant tone, "Well, do you want to return it?" Meanwhile the line was growing and so were the glares. I was already late, so I told her no and left. In the car, my son said he was embarrassed and felt like we were some type of scammers. That ate at me and when I finally got that evening, I called the store to speak with the manager. They were in a meeting that was suposed to be over. I called back an hour later and apparently the manager was still unavailable. I wrote a letter to Darryl Johnson, the store manager, explaining the treatment we received. I expected an apology. But, it's been a month and a half and no word. My assumption is, he feels that's an acceptable way to treat customers. So, with all the other shopping options in the area, I'm happy to go elsewhere. TIP FOR CUSTMER SERVICE: If your store made the error, you apologize, adjust the price and still treat the customer nice. read more

So I bought another watermelon here. No luck... it wasn't sweet at all and so dry. Never get watermelon from here. Waste of money.

The place is over priced for food that they claim is fresh (I've been told by multiple people, currently employed there or recently left, that nearly everything comes in frozen. The dough from the bakery being the most gross to me) and the second you touch something, the tower they made into a trap falls everywhere. The employees are constantly cursing at each other and yelling out everything that they hate about their work. I also recently came over to grab some dried items and was wandering to make sure I got everything and saw a girl come into the store and immediately go to the back (I'm assuming to clock in, since the restrooms were before the doors she entered). I saw the same girl walking around with a coffee in her hands and a white coat on and wondered if she was working yet. While I was checking out, I saw more people who were clearly employed grabbing coffees at the starbucks in the store before going to their stations/areas. I'm not even allowed to chew gum while clocked in at work. I wouldn't think a place where you have to dress in a uniform would allow that sort of thing. I'm kind of disappointed by how unprofessional it was there. There's a difference between being laid-back and just not caring. read more

Quality produce, quality atmosphere, and NOT necessarily more expensive than other stores. Sometimes, yes. But I find even Walmart can be more expensive with some items! The stand out difference here is that Haggen offers the best selection of any other store in the Bonney Lake area--comparable to that of a Whole Foods without the Whole Foods prices! They have the BEST blueberries AND they are one of the few places that sells figs!!!! I love shopping here and will always continue to do so, it's a very lovely place! read more

Sushi counter is awesome!!! If I could 5 stars all across for the sushi chef, he's always so helpful & courteous, I love buying sushi from him. Chinese food, so terrible! I had to ask for fresh rice to be made last week at 445pm on a Tuesday & the chef with attitude reluctantly made fresh rice even though what he had left was visibly dried out, oily & in limited quantity. After fresh rice was put out, another worker proceeded to MIX in the old with the new!! Yuck! Seriously? By now it was the dinner rush & they should've thanked me for asking for fresh rice because either customers would've gone elsewhere or a stressful line would've piled up. Onto real food...produce is always great! Haggen's pumpkin bread is addictive, (you have been warned, also sold year round) bakery cakes are actually reasonable, but the store is overall very pricey. I hate having to give in & buy toiletries or other non-grocery items. Fantastic selection for Pacific Northwest specific foods to send as gifts, skip the touristy trap shops, bring your out-of-towners here for food souvenirs, except skip the Chinese counter!! read more

I have mixed feelings about this store. Love that it is close for me and it is the only store in the area that carries a better variety of organic products. Altho what they carry isn't consistently available. I have been shopping at this store since they opened. I have dealt with hair in my salads ( quit buying those), the slow ordering of popular organic product in a variety of areas, a lot of out dated products, but in the last week I was pushed to write a review when I have never written one before. Usually customer service is pretty good, but last week and today I was pretty much called a liar. earlier I argued with a meat person when I ask if they were going to get the organic steaks and roast back in ( they do have organic hamburger) instead of just grass fed natural, which doesn't mean organic. He told me they haven't carried organic red meat except the hamburger. I told him I just bought some a couple months ago and have it in my freezer, he told me to bring it in then. Really? Today I asked a woman in produce, ordering, about when they were going to get the large bags of unsalted in the shell peanuts. I have been trying to get them back in and finally a few weeks ago they had them. I bought 4 bags. Then this last week I bought the last bag. So when I ask the ordering lady she said she had never ordered them and I must have gotten out of date peanuts. No! they were dated April 2019. She was quite rude, as well as the meat guy. I spend an average of $300.00 a week at this store. I'm in there at least twice a week, but I think it may be time to do my major shopping at PCC or Marlene's. Sad I enjoy the store and most of the employee's. read more

Today, I came across an odd situation at this particular grocery store; I was asked to leave my "service dog" elsewhere because someone in the store had a sensitivity/allergy. Here is my perspective: as costumer I have no problem taking my shopping elsewhere, but as an individual with a service dog I find this awful disappointing. The reason why I find it disappointing is because I don't take my dog to the store as fashion statement or for charismatic smiles, i take him because I need him to calm my anxiety. This is indeed a medical issue; perhaps not seen as serious as an allergy but to me is extremely critical to have my puppy at all times. Although, the sales clerk was demonstrating loyalty by looking out for the other costumer with his or her medical issue; but she forgot that i was too a costumer and that to me is bias and I can't offer my business to a company who does not value me as an individual. read more

The Haggen chain should probably look up the word "fresh" in the dictionary before blatantly misleading consumers by plastering it on their signs. Or perhaps the definition of "Northwest Fresh" is growing mold like a science experiment. I've been to several Haggens, found them to be over priced and not once has any of the food I purchased actually been "fresh". I cracked open a $3.99 a pound Sumo orange to find it half black and moldy on the inside. I picked up a bag of grapes and smartly looked at the bottom before putting them in my cart- white and fuzzy with mold. The blackberries in a plastic container- the bottom layer was all...you guessed it- moldy. This is an unfortunate trend that has continued throughout my Haggen experience and I'm simply fed up. Haggen needs to stop trying to dupe honest hard-working consumers with their farm fresh BS and fess up to their "clever" marketing ploy. Don't believe the hype, all you'll get here is a waste of your money and food you have to throw out within hours of purchasing it. read more
