We have been loyal Haggen customers for 4+ years and overall have loved the store. The staff have not always been welcoming, but we've never been made to feel uncomfortable in the store until today. Unfortunately, we had just a terrible customer experience that we feel compelled to share. We walked in without a mask as we have numerous times before and this time, the store manager chased us down into the produce section. He asked us if we had masks. I asked if they were required. He replied: "did you not see the huge sign in the front of the store?" in a very arrogant and condescending tone. We respect that the store has its policy, however many other customers were walking around without masks and were not approached. There is a way to approach this more tactfully and respectfully. Based on this experience, we do not plan to shop at Haggen for the foreseeable future and would ask them to do better. read more

This Haggen's store is the least friendly grocery store I have ever patronized. If you interrupt the employees' conversations to ask a question, they seem perturbed. After living 14 years in the area, one is rarely greeted or offered a simple hello. The prices are much too high, and when I recently tried to purchase some "sale" items, found the only products available were past their sell by date. The only exception to the lack of customer service is the Pharmacy, which is the only reason this review garnered 2 stars. If employees and management don't respect customer service skills, at least learn how to act like it! read more

This is a very nice store, but so expensive. And because it's expensive, one would expect that quality would be high. But it isn't always. I bought some granola out of the bulk bin that was rancid (had almonds in it). I should have taken it back, but was not worth my time for $3 bucks. For half the price, the quality is so much better at Winco down the hill. We used to shop at Haggen often, but the prices are just too high. read more

I love this store! It's the only Haggen left in my area. (Area meaning 7+ miles.) I would travel that and more to go to a store that stays stocked, is kept incredibly clean, has wonderful produce, plus sushi, awesome fried chicken, delicious salad bar, and yummy deli counters. When it (Haggen) was bought out, the new owners never intended to compete with Haggen stores. Consequently, they bought all the Haggen stores to quell the competition. If you get the chance, go to a Haggen store. It is well worth the trip! (It isn't a Safeway or a Winco in price, but then again what is? Covid-19 is aerosol, therefore if someone sneezes without a mask, it hangs in the air for up to 3 hours. Maskless people allowed to wonder the store and allowed to stay if they claim they have a health issue. That is not what the law states. They are supposed to offer them another way to shop. It is disheartening that my health is compromised because they have not hired staff to control the mount of maskless, under the nose or no mask. It is our lives at risk. No excuse. read more

It seems trivial, but I think represents a broader look into price gouging when yesterday a standard old fashioned chocolate donut was $.99. Today it was just over 30% higher at $1.29. I can't think of any ingredient that has gone up 30%. Certainly not the labor that makes it! Made me ponder how the rest of this store's pricing is determined. Buyer beware. read more

I was in the store with my two kids yesterday morning to get my son some breakfast before dropping him off at kindergarten. We were circling the walls to look from dairy to drinks for things he could bring when my other son, strapped into his stroller, started crying from the announcements. I looked back up from calming him to see my five year old getting close to this mechanical lifter with a few pallets around it. I yelled at him to get away from it before he got hurt and had to not only deal with one boy begging to check it out, but the other started crying again right after. Equipment like this shouldn't just be left out for someone to injure themselves on, especially with so many small children always running around at this time. I have seen equipment left alone, employees yelling out profanities and ignoring customers, and I was surprised to recount just how many times I've seen people walk out of the store with carts full of alcohol without paying for them. I will never be coming back, especially for my childrens' safety. I advise others to do the same. read more

They lose one star because of their sometimes horrible cashiers. They have bad attitudes and don't greet you. Some seem annoyed even. On the upside, they have the best food Auburn has to offer when it comes to a deli. They are overpriced for other things though. Their child watch is amazing. Never had a problem until I bought some food for work, including a medium sized fruit bowl. Just to find a maggot on one of the berries... I'm going to guess that wasn't the only one so I had to throw an $8 fruit bowl away. Won't be buying any pre packaged food here again. read more

When a butcher stops everything to prepare a 5 lbs bottom round roast for me personally during a stressful time, THAT impresses me. AWESOME SERVICE!! Another store employee showed me where the sour cream was (I'm new to this area & store) then I headed to the bakery and was personally helped by two others to get the perfect French rolls for the French dip sandwiches we were preparing. To top it off, the cashier was kind, courteous and quickly got us out the door! I wish the local markets in Bonney Lake would taken lessons from this store. THIS is true customer service at its finest! Haggen and its employees are the BEST! The only negative comment would be a little lower prices, HOWEVER the quality of the items is outstanding compared to every other market I've been in locally from Bonney Lake especially. read more

This is my go to grocery store in the south end and I drive 20 minutes to get there. I am not a fan of Safeway or Fred Meyer. Haggen has items I can't find elsewhere. Great quality produce and meats. I have always found them to be courteous and helpful. A bit more expensive but worth it, in my opinion. read more

Haven't ever had a good experience here shopping. I love the products since they're unique and a lot of items are made in Washington but the customer service is just truly terrible. Most recently, I encountered a woman cashier who refused to look at me the entire time. My boyfriend was checking out before me and she proceeded to group my things into his purchase for some reason. Not sure if she assumed he was paying or what but didn't talk at all to us. I told her I was paying for my items separately and she threw my cocoa bag out of the bag, back onto the conveyor belt dramatically. After I paid, she sneezed in her hand and handed me the receipt...huh? It was just an odd, not very human-like experience. read more

The Lake Tapps Haggens has the absolute worst cashier's. Sullen, arrogant, disrespectful, loud, yelling at fellow customers, being extremely rude. No couth. Today we witnessed one of them acting this way towards a fellow customer. We were shocked and very put off. Are you having difficulty finding quality employees? I don't frequent this store but was in the area shopping for some things and stopped by. Love how clean and presentable everything is and people were super kind and helpful there. I was going to leave my review at that but glanced at past reviews and here are some things ppl don't seem to be aware of. Facts :) not opinion. Val lady said that wearing masks is a law? But did you know it's not a law? It's simply a mandate. That's a step above from a "recommendation" Mandates have been removed from many states including Florida. Only 32 states out of all of them currently enforce these cancer causing mandates. Watch for the cancer wave after this "pandemic" investigate hypoxia and depriving your cells of oxygen causes cancer and multiple antibiotic resistant staff infections have been reported in ppl who wear masks. Now, the CDC had it clear on their site a few mos ago that only infected ppl should wear masks, then why would they remove that? Why are hospitals profiting from the pandemic. They get funding money for each death and for each Covid diagnosis. And why were $1B in infected masks sold to the US? Cali to be more exact. And if masks work why the social distancing at 6' when the virus travels 32 feet? And why are there little to no tuberculosis and flu deaths reported? And why Dr Birx said that the flu doesn't exist anymore during WH press conference? Did it magically got replaced w Covid? And why whistle blower DR JUDY MICKOVITS was sent to jail when she discovered that Covid has been put in flu vaccines since 2013? And lastly if masks work, why free rapists and murderers from cells instead of giving them a mask? Why is there a warning on mask boxes saying they won't protect you against Covid? And why a lot of masks have tags that say prolonged used can cause cancer? Do masks really work and are we terrifying children w the Covid facts and raising a generation that will have a series of physiological issues we don't even know what the extent of the psychological damage will be. Also, if the WHO had the worlds best interest why are they recommending forced vaccines and separating families and forcibly vaccinating refugees, homeless, low income families and vulnerable human beings? Along w corrupting our children around the world requiring all countries including US to teach children in kindergarten about alternative life styles and using cartoons that clearly depict different sexual positions? If you are a parent pls look into bill 5395/referendum 90 in your ballot. Regardless, we still need to remain kind to one another. Man made engineered patented Pandemics will come and go and all there will be left is us, helping one another. If you weren't this paranoid when the media covered the H1N1 And the 600k ppl who die a year of the flue... then you shouldn't worry about a virus w a 98.93333% survival rate. Pandemic or no pandemic, we should wash our hands often, clean surfaces often, physical contact heals the body... a handshake, a hug, can heal a heart. Do not let a pandemic keep you away from your loved ones specially the elderly. Ensure they have good gut health, good quality vitamins and nutrition just like all your loved ones and we will all have strong immune systems to fight the flu, pneumonia, and any patented (man made) deceases like cancer. Investigate, and don't fall for the sites that feed false information. Question everything and ask heaven for guidance and your eyes will be opened to the truth so that you can best protect your family from the invisible enemies but most importantly from those who lie to profit from this so called pandemic. I hope people unite and sue the hospitals and senior centers and gov officials who are to blame for enforcing policies that have killed many seniors. Do hold them accountable and prosecute to the full extent of the law. In this people need to unite so their deaths were not in vane. If you want the salad bar open again, simply encourage those who think the same to write a review politely requesting and expressing this wish and eventually I'm certain the manager will find a solution that works for all. List in your review what you buy there and maybe an entire fixture w fresh salad prepackaged can be put together for people to easily be picked up. They have great selections of produce, deli, flower shop, wine and salad bar. Sushi Wednesday is one of my favorite things to get from the store. Also I'm loving the new bakery addition of pastries!! Everything seems to be a bit pricey side but it's so clean and well organized. I live in near by neighborhood so I walk to Haggen with my baby in stroller. Their new addition of Starbucks inside the store is a nice touch to make the shopping experience more enjoyable! read more

Best grocery store around south King county by far. I used to drive to Bellevue or Seattle to go to some of the posher stores there but have found Haggen has almost every thing I want. They have been remodeling and have been add a lot of new amenities and products. Great meat, produce, wine and organic selections. The cashier on the express register is something else (happened 2.11.18 at 11am). I put all my 3 things im buying on her little table and she starts hand gesturing telling me something, I didnt hear her at first so I said "im sorry what?" Then she said "can you push your stuff towards me because I cant reach it" "its too far" I was in awe so I was like "you seriously cannot reach it?" And she was telling that she has short hands blah blah. When obviously she is not even tryin to reach them. It was literally right in front of her. What in some lazy ass world is she in? Just moved into the area and since this place is close by ive been buying a couple things here and there.. Last night September 1st 2015 my husband went to but desert and a loaf of bread along with Bologna.. To start of your cookies "Voortman Cookies" i gave my 2 year old two of these cookies he vomit them up over night and has tummy pain.. Second of all i bought two packages of bologna one of the packages the bologna was color white/green. Im on my way to complain i hope i get my money back i bought that food for my kids im not rich to throw my money away like that.. And the workers.. This is my favorite place to shop. After the remodel they are similar to a Whole Foods and have so many choices for people who are looking for fresh organic and many choices. Their wine selection is excellent and the olive bar is awesome. The meat and fish department is always fresh and many selections. We also enjoy the pub from time to time and play trivia or just relax. The staff is always pleasant and this store makes grocery shopping enjoyable. read more

The prices are extremly high but the store is Clean ,organized and well stocked it's open 24 hours, Employees are really nice the store is comparablea Whole Foods without the Whole Foods sky high prices. They have alot of custom made food like weird mixes such as jalapeno coconut mix and stuff like that but they are really good to try and see combinations of differant mixes. Our new favorite store! We bought a house in Auburn almost two years ago and have always gone to Fred Meyer, but the druggies and crime around that store got us searching for a new place. We stumbled upon Haggen while driving thru Lakeland and ended up buying our entire grocery list there! Our joke is that people in Lakeland look like they shower and actually take care of themselves, and we don't feel like we will be robbed at gun point in the parking lot. So many products here that I've never seen in other stores except maybe Whole Foods. My fiancé was amped about the great beer selection. read more

Though Haggen has a wide selection of quality items and ingredients, most everything in the store is overpriced. It doesn't help that there are usually only two registers open at any given time. I love this store. It's my go-to whenever I need a quick few items; I also like buying meat and seafood here. Where to start? Once you walk into the produce section, you'll be hit with delicious smells wafting over from the bakery- I'm not exaggerating! This store is clean, organized, and has a wonderful selection. Staff at the deli, meat, and bakery areas are helpful and kind. My favorite item to purchase at this store? The Cascade Bread, no doubt! So delicious and perfect for paninis! They are currently remodeling and updating this store (remodel may even be finished, I just haven't been in lately). I truly wish I could do all my grocery shopping here, the only thing stopping me is higher cost of items. We went to the store this afternoon and yes no doubt about the cleanliness and a lot of organic foods which i like, but the lady who sells fried chicken was racist, she stared at us like we're so stupid maybe because of our looks.. we're asian by the way!she picked the smallest pieces of chicken though she heard me say why was she picking those, my daughter just told me to just ignore her.. but when we got home she charged me $2.47 each of smallest chicken thigh.. so disappointed that in this nice kind of place there's a not so nice kind of people.. read more

This is a wonderful grocery store. Have done all my shopping at this store. They added a Starbucks which I thought was a wonderful idea so when your shopping you don't have to go across the street to the other one. But this Starbucks has the worst costumer service I have ever seen. I asked for a caramel Frappuccino with a shot of affagatto and this is what I received. I drank half of the little bar on the side because I was curious what it tasted like. Then it seemed like the barista was avoiding me because he/she spilled it twice. Then he/she handed it to me and just went away but I also have some more food coming. Then he/she had another lady hand it to me so I couldn't talk to he/she. I didn't get a refund and I had to order it from a different Starbucks. The thing was it wasn't even full and it looked disgusting. I should have stayed and asked for a refund but he/she was avoiding me and I didn't feel like arguing on a nice afternoon. read more
