Tried giving Habit another try....Extremely disappointing experience. Food quality has gone from hit and miss to gross. The chicken nuggets were not only mostly breading but over cooked, not edible. The chicken filet in the sandwich is so thin now you cannot taste it. It is of the quality of a bad Jack in the box. This $25 meal was probably my last from this chain sorry to say. Please tell me why it takes this place so long to make an order going through the drive through. There is no point of going through drive through to wait 10-15 min for my food. I have been sitting for a good 10 min and I have not even reached to place my order yet. My wife and I had heard good things about this location. So, we decided to finally try The Habit. We usually eat Steve's Jr Burgers in Hemet. We ordered two Santa Barbara Chars to-go, one with bacon. Also ordered the 5 pc chicken bites, fries, onion rings, a peppermint shake and a vanilla shake (no whipped cream on either). The only thing we really actually liked were our shakes. The burgers were sloppy wet with sauce and tasteless. Even the bacon was mostly flavorless. The chicken bites were mostly breading, hard and had no flavor. Honey Mustard, BBQ and Teriyaki side sauces were meh. The fries were ok. The onion rings seemed good at first: Nice, crispy and tasty. But, the actual onion was tough and rubbery. My wife and I really like this place! The dinning area is open and inviting. The food is great. The selection of condiments is good. We each had the Portabella Char on our last visit. The garlic sauce really set off the Mushroom and the Burger, which was tasty and juicy (so much better than the Mushroom and Swiss Burger I had gotten at a "Steak House" the day before), with plenty of mushrooms, plenty of flavor, and plenty of juice! We shared our Fries and Sweet Potato Fries, both of which were fresh, crisp, and tasty. We took advantage of their Pickled Pepper Bar, too. The Berry and Strawberry Lemonades were also very good. Our two burgers, together, cost less than the dry and tasteless "Steak House" burger. We are not going back there. We are going back to The Habit! read more

I love this place, NGL. During covid, they were lifesaver. I probably ate 4 out of my 5 lunches each week there that year (Hemet location). It got pricey but worth it and the convenience that I needed. The quality ingredients were better than any of the other drive-thru options for sure. My favorite is their Santa Barbara cob chicken salad. They stopped making the kale pesto dressing, which was excellent (bring it back!), but the house vinaigrette isn't bad. ...always ordered with some tempura green beans (or Brussel sprouts when they have 'em) and a large mixed iced tea. TBH, if you want a great burger, their Sana Barbara char is excellent, & they make good mushroom burger and chicken sandwiches too... for whatever reason, though, I always default to my go-to salad option anyway. I was hungry and on my way home so I went through the drive-thru. The location is difficult to leave if one is going north due to the all the islands the city of San Jacinto has to prevent left turns out of businesses. Other than that, the location is clean and the food is good. They are not the fastest drive-thru, but that's because they make everything to order. They gave me so many fries, they were overflowing out of the container. They were delicious and I loved finding more and more in the bottom of my bag. The BBQ bacon burger tasted great! read more

On December 24, 2022 my sister and I were coming home from visiting family and friends. I really did not feel like cooking so we swing into Habit Burger and ordered the Char Burger with cheese. This was a to go order. Once we claimed our food we drove home set up the trays and settled for a good burger. Both of us took a bite and looked at each other and asked the same question. Does your burger taste bad. We took of the bun and found out that it was burnt and the patties were burnt as well. They were not edible, throw them away and had to cook. We will not be going back to this Habit any time soon. read more

We came here on Monday because kids eat free but our kid did not eat free because after the cashier heard us talking about it she decided to charge us a regular Char burger when we ordered for a child. Good food. Good fries. I recommend getting your burger on sourdough. Makes it so much better. We typically get the char burger with cheese on sourdough. We have tried so many other things. You can't really go wrong with anything there. The only thing I didn't care for was the strawberry shake. Very sweet and artificial tasting. They need to change up that syrup. Every since I ate at the original Habit in Santa Bart/Goleta it wHowever, I had an ahí tuna sandwich which I normally eat. On occasion I will have a burger. was mostly bread and lettuce. We went to Habit Burger on Dec. 24 and ordered 2 Charburgers with Cheese. What we received was 2 burnt buns with burnt burgers. We didn't know this until we got home and so we couldn't eat them, instead we throw them away and had to cook ourselves something to eat. We will not be going back to this Habit Burger until they get a new cook who doesn't burn everything. We wasted good money on something we couldn't even eat. Will not be recommending to any of our neighbors, in fact, will tell them to avoid this place at all costs if they want a good burger. read more

Came to this location today I just want to say the service was good I am very strict when I do my reviews when I go to different restaurants but I want to say everything was good my burger was hot an fresh but the down side was the fries they weren't cooked all the way the shift leader with the grey shirt had glasses on but she looked like she didn't wanted to be there had horrible attitude lobby was clean but soda machine was very dirty you can see when the nozzles are at they don't clean them or sanitize them at night how it showed be but everything else was ok I feel cashier that was there around 3pm has to be more relaxed then nervous but overall it's ok.. read more

As a repeat customer, have always had good experiences patronizing our local Habit. The menu is outstanding quality and service is very helpful. Today a family member chose The Habit option for dinner and I was chosen to fulfill request and pick up order during early evening dinner period, 430. Order and food quality were as usual but the service fell short. I can understand people having bad days esp at work but quality customer service is important for eventual return visits that builds loyalty. I didn't see it from the person handling orders, no greetings or "Thank you" when order completed. Once buzzer went off, service desk just left bag on counter and walked away sans "Thank you" as other eateries/coffee places end transaction, guessing bc no tip was given. Lately, the take-out public has been visiting take-out less with the high prices. Workers need appreciate those of us who still support fast-food eateries when we have to seek different affordable options. I've never tried this place before, and it's my new In and Out! I never cared for I&O anyhow, but oh my goodness this place is far better! I got a grilled chicken sandwich with teriyaki sauce and raw onions, no tomatoes, fries and a chocolate shake, and I ate it too fast to take a picture I never mind the wait for good food and they were busy in the last hour of them being open, but the service was still amazing and the crew was efficient.
