While visiting Soboba Casino for the second time in one week to use my free play, my dad, wife, sister, and brother-in-law decided to have lunch at the Fairway Cafe. The Fairway Cafe is located inside Soboba Casino. Last week, we had lunch at this same cafe while visiting with my wife, dad, sister, and son-in-law, and it was excellent across the board. This time, it was not quite as good, for a couple of reasons. Service: From the moment we ordered our food, not a single employee approached our table for thirty-four minutes and eleven seconds. Usually, we receive our food within fifteen to seventeen minutes. The large restaurant had only eleven other guests seated at various tables during our visit, so I'm unsure why this delay was so unusual. Food: This time, the food was not as good. The steaks my dad and wife had were dry and had too much fat. A-1 steak sauce was requested to try to add flavor. My sister and I both ordered the Fiesta Lime Chicken. On paper, it sounded perfect for us, but when it arrived, we found out that bones were still in the chicken, as that's how they prepare it here. I hate bones in my chicken after a choking incident a few years ago. I might have missed the mention of bones on the menu, or I simply don't recall. My mistake for comparing this Fiesta Lime Chicken to Applebee's, which is boneless and I absolutely love. The potatoes included with our dishes were cold. Maybe our food sat too long before serving--we'll never know. Our waitress came by once more to check on us. We could have mentioned everything above then, but we chose not to, fearing another long wait to fix things, so we kept quiet. She also dropped off the check and offered dessert options, which we kindly declined because we just wanted to leave and get back to the slot machines. I am a longstanding member at Saboba Casino. Food is great at Casino, getting a table or booth at Fairway is a nightmare! I asked for table or booth tonight due to my bad back, hard to do the table/couch combo. We were walked past open tables and booth, 1 hour wait I was told if I wanted a table or booth !! This is second time in past month this has happened!! I'm easy to recognize, all grey mustache with the Black Veterans cap !! Totally disappointed by young blond female host lack of service skills. Feel as Service was not to be given to us, 2nd time, no more will I be going back to Fairway!! Time to make a change!! read more

Horror story..... i got served cold lobster and cold steak and cold potatoes. I'm sure because they cooked it too early and held it on a counter somewhere. I took one bite, tiny bite of lobster when tiny bite of steak and tried to send it back but the new chef is an idiot. still said I ate too much. I show them photos of the before and the after. And sorry, charlie, you're screwed. Still charged me full price, and I threw it all away. They would not remake it or even reheat it.Because a new chef, they have is a complete.Idiot. also my server I forgot absolutely everything. I had to ask three different bus people.So what I ordered from the server. Her name was Dennis, and just the worst. She actually challenged me on my meal.Right from the get go. We had a horrible experience tonight, we came for the steak and lobster specal and everything was okay after salads and drinks but 45 minutes later we still waited for our food and everyone around us had eaten and left and our waiter Jed has said our food would be out soon so we asked about anything he could give for waiting so long like a drink or something he said no so we said just give us our check for salads and drinks and we left. been there many times and this was not a great experience read more

Updating review with recent menu prices and offerings. Hoped there would be pancakes as part of the all day breakfast, but maybe it's not quite in demand. Onion rings, fries, and sweet potato fries hit the spot, maybe I was in a grazing mood. Big pieces of cod for the fish and chips, tartar sauce was a little plain. Hubs enjoyed his sandwich (The Club House) on a croissant. Could have used a pickle on the side. Service was a little slow, but our server was very nice. Luckily we weren't in a rush. Ate here and tried a new dish-Prime Rib Philly Sandwich. The prime rib was shredded and included red/geen bell peppers, onion, mushrooms on Ciabatta bread and included beef au jus. I usually order sandwiches with soft bread-teeth won't crunch much anymore. I substituted a small salad instead of the regular-fries, fresh fruit, or sweet potato fries. The cost was $3 more for the salad.... The beef sandwich tasted good; I ordered mushrooms on the side (my preference). The sandwich didn't taste dry, so I used the au jus sparingly. The salad was a good portion and included greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded white/yellow cheese, croutons and onions-with raspberry dressing. When I ordered i said "no onions on the salad" and bring me paper napkins. I don't like sitting my silverware on the table-as I see staff wipping the tables with the same cloth. She forgot the napkins-I interrupted another employee who was cleaning off table-for the napkins. Thankfully, there wasn't music blaring into the restaurant area. I complained in the past that when their are drawings-I can't hear the names called. I made sure to eat before the drawings were to begin. Stopped by the casino to gamble at the casino for bit and stayed longer than we should have, which mean we needed some food. When i first saw the place, there was a line. Ugh. I'd rather gamble. Then around noon, the line was gone. I'm not sure why, but I did notice a line at the Noodle place which was about to open. Doesn't matter, I called my gambling partner and said let's eat! Well, thanks to a bonus, it took him a while to get here, and yes, a small line formed again. Grrr... I think it's becoming common that most places are understaffed, hence a lot of empty tables, but not enough servers to work them. Even when we were next, we waited while we watched someone leave, the table cleaned extremely thoroughly (which we don't mind waiting for) and then we were seated. From that moment on, service was pretty spot on. Drink order was taken, and then brought out a few moments later. I was really surprised how quick our food arrived! Granted, we didn't have anything super intense, but it was still impressive. I guess they want you back on that floor gambling! The food was on par with a slightly higher end cafe. Definitely better than Denny's! I enjoyed my Prime Rib Dip while my partner enjoyed his traditional American breakfast. He's extremely picky about his bacon (extra crispy please) and he gave it a thumbs up. The total for 2 people was just over $40, which is really good these days for 2 meals with a couple of drinks. You don't pay your server but at the counter on the way out. This is so they can apply any discounts or credits from your player club card. We really don't visit this casino much as it's really out of any normal path we take, but we did enjoy ourselves at the Fairway Cafe. read more

Need a breather from gaming? The Fairway Cafe is always a delight. The food is overall delicious and the atmosphere is very relaxing and chill. The Swiss burger is a fan favorite and I'm a huge supporter of their other burger offerings. If you're vegetarian/vegan there's a few accommodations you can enjoy! The restaurant has a few all-day breakfast options if you missed your meaning meal and the restaurant also has TV's if you're the sporty type. So coming to the Soboba Casino for my first time I knew this place had to have a restaurant So I had lunch with my family and the food was good. The space had a nice ambiance to it and had a lot of space between tables. For starters I ordered the buffalo wings that can come in different flavors and they were outstanding! The nice hot and flavorful wings were cooked well with the flavors of bbq and plain. The breading on those wings were amazing. Then after I ordered their club sandwich and it was pretty filling. What a find! We're out on a Sunday drive and decided to have lunch. The Fairway Café is located in the Soboba casino. Very clean and awesome service. (thanks Michelle) My wife ordered the chicken marsala. My trained eyes and palette told me that it was cooked to order. Fresh mashed potatoes and an assortment of sauteed veggies complimented this chicken marsala dish. Ok, is this an "authentic" marsala? No, but it's still delicious and very price friendly too. My wife enjoyed this dish enough to take home he leftovers. That says alot. :) I really wasn't hungry but ordered a burger to be sociable. WOW! What a find! A blend of short rib, brisket and chuck cooked to medium on a brioche bun. If you feel pressured to eat the tomatoes and lettuce, go ahead. Casinos are my parents' favorite playground. So for my mother's 78th birthday, I took her and my family, without the kids, to Soboba Casino. My parents were so happy as if they were kids at Disneyland. =D Since I and my husband do not really gamble, we hung out at Fairway Cafe for brunch. It was before 1100 and they weren't serving lunch yet. I ordered huevos rancheros, my favorite breakfast, with over-easy eggs. My husband ordered the omelet. My breakfast was delicious, though I don't really eat too much meat, it was a lot. I'm sure meat lovers would totally love it. I just put mine on the side. I'm not that high maintenance you know. My husband loved his food cause his omelet has a lot of meat. My orange juice tasted fresh and my husband's coffee was basically a pitcher of coffee that I took advantage of as well. Our waiter, Benjo, was super nice. He often came and checked on us, making sure that all our needs were met. I also liked how he placed our bill on the table when we finished. It made paying our bill quicker. However, we stayed a little bit longer because my parents were winning, I guess. We ordered more food to-go for my parents since they didn't want to get up to eat lunch. We will definitely go back to this cafe for sure. read more

The food is very large servings !! Only wish there was a microwave in the rooms to heat up leftovers. Service is very slow from ordering to receiving the bill.
